I’m Don Letts, founder of Letts Plumbing. I spent five years as an apprentice in England before starting my own plumbing business there. I received an opportunity to relocate to California in 1966. At that time, securing a job and having a sponsor in the U.S. was essential. I worked for various companies during my time here. Shane, my grandson, started demonstrating significant talent and enthusiasm for plumbing. So, we decided to launch our own business, which has grown to six employees. Our faith lies in word-of-mouth advertising, a method that has served us well for many years. I find it fulfilling when the children and grandchildren of my original clients call us for their plumbing requirements. We are here to serve you around the clock, every day of the week. We handle all types of water, gas, and sewer work. We offer free estimates and advice—just give us a call.

Shane Letts resides in Concord with his wife and two children. As a second-generation plumber, he serves as the president of Letts Plumbing. He participates in the Clayton Valley Sunrise Rotary and backs numerous local charitable organizations. Alongside his grandfather Don Letts, he upholds the tradition of delivering quality service at a fair price. During his leisure time, he enjoys outdoor pursuits and is a devoted baseball fan.

Great business !!
I had Lett's Plumbing install a recirculating pump (which is wonderful, and is saving me a lot of water), insulate my pipes, and replace the flapper in my toilet. Sheldon came out and did all the jobs in a very timely manner. He was very nice and professional and did a great job.

I don't often write Yelp reviews, but I felt compelled to do so after such a fantastic experience with Big Steve at Letts. After a valve in our landscape irrigation system broke and leaked water, I called around to a few different plumbers in the area. It was late Friday afternoon, so I anticipated some trouble getting anyone to respond, let alone respond quickly. Letts was the only one willing to come that day. The rest either waited until the next day to return my call or didn't return it at all. When Big Steve arrived around 9:30 pm, it was pitch dark outside, but he took the time (at no charge) to show me where the key components of our water system were located and where to shut off the water in the future. (By way of contrast, when I called EBMUD, who is supposed to care about water leaks in a drought, they initially didn't offer any help on how to shut off the water. We had to pry the information out of them. Astonishing.) Anyway, Big Steve was able to assess the problem within minutes and devise the most cost effective way to resolve it. It was such a refreshing change from the Ben Franklins and Leapfrogs of the world. Letts has a customer for life (or at least as long as Big Steve works there).

In the process of selling our house, we needed an emergency gas shut-off valve installed, as well as a couple other items that needed to be addressed. I called Letts Plumbing and Shane was able to fit us into his schedule the next day! Not only was he on time, efficient, and reasonably priced, he went above and beyond to make sure the work was done exceptionally well.
I will NEVER go to another plumbing service. Letts has made a loyal customer out of me!

I called for a bathtub faucet slow leak. Guy came out. Took photos and said he would have to get parts. He never even touched the fixture. Then he left, called back and said he would be $825 to tear out wall and replace entire unit. I would have hire separately someone to repair/drywall after plumbing job was done. My daughter's friend went into bathroom, one or two twists and the leak was gone!!!!!!!!! WHAT A CROOK PLUMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would NEVER recommend and in fact, will report fraud to Better Business Bureau

Our experience clearly points out the difference between yellow page plumbers and yelp.
On April 4th, we had a break between the water meter and main line to the house - EBMUD shut off water and we needed help fast - Yellow page plumber sent out poorly staffed person without the right supplies who wanted to put together a home depot PVC solution for $550 to $650 (its the truth - Preferred Plumbing - quote #122545). Lett's sent Tim who had the proper copper, all the necessary tools and created a long term, elegant solution that solved the problem for less than $300.

Highly recommend their service as your first call and will never go back to the yellow pages as I have found my plumbers - Letts.

I needed to have a toilet re-secured to the floor. On the morning of the appointment, Adam called me to ask if he could come early, which was great. He did a thorough job and he was really nice. How refreshing! I am a happy customer and will call them again.

In April 2012 experienced EXCELLENT customer service at 9:00 PM; avoided unnecessary emergency call at time and a half rate plus arranged to have a plumber address the problem first thing the following morning. Job was completed in 45 minutes for less than the estimated cost. Plumber was professional, respectful and left the work space cleaner/tidier than he found it.
The initial reason for the call was because A&E replaced the garbage disposal and left the p-trap off (""We don't do plumbing, ma'am."") because the old one was too short to connect to the replacement disposal.
We have had Lett's Plumbing out several times in 3 years for a variety of planned and unplanned plumbing issues and have always been thrilled with the experience.

Left message after hours on a Sunday, and received a returned phone call early the next morning from Sue on Monday. They fit me in for an estimate the same day.
Having done some of my own research before hand, and having had two other companies provide an estimate earlier in the day, I could not have gotten any luckier than to have Adam arrive to provide me with an honest and knowledgeable estimate. Add to this his patient and friendly customer service (willing to answer every one of my questions, even when I may have asked one more than once) was a bonus. He listened to my needs and didn't try to unnecessarily sell me products I did not need or could not afford. While this should be a given, it doesn't always happen, so I consider it exceptional when I get great service.
Working with the office and Sue to schedule a date/time for services was also a breeze.
On the date of service, Adam arrived on time. I was so comfortable and confident in his ability from the estimate, that I knew I would not have to spend one second checking in on him as he did his job. I was able to concentrate on my own job related work and calls without worry. After the work was done, we did a walk through. Again, he was as patient as could be with answering my final exit questions.
Bonus: Before walking into my home for the estimate and work, Adam put on shoe covers. On the day of service, he also covered the walkway path he would use with professional cloth as to not get my carpets dirty.
I hope to never need the services of Letts again, but if I do, I will be calling them first and no others.

My go to plumbers were busy so Tim came out to fix a leaky kitchen faucet that I tried to fix. The hose on the pull out faucet was leaking. I tried to no avail so called, they scheduled me by a professional service then he even called ahead and made the time scheduled an actually waited for me as I was 5 min late. he was very professional and most importantly he was efficient and didn't make a mess. Leaky faucet fixed by installing new kitchen sink faucet all in one quick visit. He updated the connections underneath that were way outdated. Will call these guys back for sure. great work and service.

Called about 7-8 plumbers between 4:30 and 5:10 PM on a Monday. All were either busy or could only fit me in the next day. Our three house toilets were clogged and over flowing if showers were turned on. We didn't want to go all night without the use of toilets or showers. I spoke to someone who took my info and said I would get a call back. Selena called me about 20 minutes later, she was very sweet. She said we would most likely get help between 7 and 8 PM. We were quoted most likely one hour or less to take care of the problem, unless they encountered tree roots. Steve called me at 6:40 PM letting me know the two of them were on their way, they arrived at 7:00 PM. Both were very nice and courteous, they put booties on and off every time they came inside. They cleaned out our main line within 35 minutes. One-hour call out fee is what we paid due to minimum service fee. All good.
Very happy with the service.
