Had a kitchen sink clog problem. I really didn't know who to call, but I heard about Gotelli plumbing here in Brisbane. Tom , ( the plumber who came) over was prompt, and knew exactly what the problem was. The clog was pretty well down the drain line. He unplugged it promptly, and gave me a few tips about keeping the drain line clear. Later the same day the dishwasher wasn't draining, I called Tom back, and he made time in his day to come back over, check it out, and all seems fine. Tom puts his customers' satisfaction #1. He's great and because of him, I'd use Gotelli in the future.

It's mid winter, one of the coldest we've ever had here in San Francisco and I'm trying to do some maintenance on my old steam heat. Being the jack of all trades that I am (and master of none), I mess up the delicate balance of my elderly steam heater. After calling 8 different local boiler repair shops (only to find out every one is too busy to come out) I found Lou. We're his guys busy as well? Yes. So Lou took time out if his day of managing a business to talk with me about the symptoms that my boiler was having. He told me he most likely couldn't repair it but would take a peak and give me his 2 cents. Then, he dropped every thing to make a service call! He came promptly, he knew exactly the problem (which in the end was really just me) and made the adjustments. He brought my boiler back into harmony so that it could function as it should. The kicker is, he didn't even charge me! Lou is the man and he has my business, he should have your business as well.

Last week my young son turned off the shower and the faucet handle literally fell off. The fixture lay in several pieces on the floor of the shower, so I called my property manager and she called Leo Gotelli Plumbing first thing the next morning.

After a couple of phone calls trying to coordinate schedules....

At 6:00 pm on a Friday evening, Brian Gotelli arrived at my apartment, took a look at the fixture and told me he had the part in his truck. He came back in, installed the new fixture and that was it. His work took about 10 minutes, he was very courteous and efficient, and I got to take a shower!

I didn't expect to receive help on a Friday evening and I didn't expect to have someone be as pleasant as Brian was. I am a very happy girl.

The price was right but I guess you get what you pay for. The references he gave provided rave reviews. This is a well established multi generational family business. He may be a genius on other plumbing work, but I cannot say how much I regret hiring him for boiler work. I put in a new boiler and it never has worked properly. I must admit, it has continued to operate for several years and I have not had to replace it or incur significant costs. When other plumbers did work in the area later and looked at the installation, they would just shake their heads, point out all the mistakes and wonder who did it. When I told them, they would understand and relate other plumbing stories such as the Octavia steet boiler. I took solace in the fact that it could have been worse. They kept promising and promising to make things right but never did. He would schedule work and never show up or call to say he could not make it. I would have to call and ask what happened and he usually had an excuse, normally some unforeseen emergency or a job that took longer than expected, but never an apology. This happened over and over for many months of unfulfilled promises and unkept appointments until I gave up and had someone else ameliorate the problem. Never Again!!!

David Gotelli works with the property managers of my condo building. We had a problem with the hot water in the building and he was scheduled to come check each faucet in my unit. He gets 5 stars because:

-He took off his shoes once he got inside my home (I appreciate the respect for my home).
-He checked each faucet meticulously.
-The last plumbers who came left my bathroom faucet different (it was not rotating smoothly anymore). He came and took it apart and put it back together and it just worked properly again.
-I mentioned a couple of problems that were unrelated to the hot water issue and he went above and beyond to go out of his way and quickly fixed them for me.

Tonight I took my first non-soot bath in a few years! It would boil my blood to recount all of the details about the money we spent and time we wasted with the previous plumber (who we were required by our Homeowners Association to use) that came out five times in about two years. They eventually threw up their hands and said, ""It's a mystery!"" as to why we still had black soot coming out of our bathroom faucets even though we'd changed a bunch of fittings and bought a new $600 water heater as they'd recommended. I literally threw myself on their mercy to fix it at whatever cost and inconvenience, since our baby and then toddler had to take a bath in it every night.

Finally finally we were allowed to use a different plumber and Leo Gotelli was recommended. Leo himself came over and took one look at the flex hoses on our water heater and said that they were problem. In literally 30 seconds he diagnosed what the other guys could only scratch their heads at FOR YEARS. And within about a week, he sent his folks out to replace the flex hoses with ones that don't have rubber in them, flushed the whole system, cleaned up after themselves, and even tighened an annoying loose faucet in the sink on their way out.

I am trying to focus on the fact that I am SO grateful that the issue is over with instead of wanting to rip the lips off of the other guys for not having a CLUE about how to prevent bathing my kid (and myself) in greasy petroleum water, which is particularly ironic because I have gone out of my way to buy the damn $15/tube petroleum-free butt paste for my kid since he was born.

Holy Cow. New home owner, single woman, oblivious. Long of the short, been calling around and had a plumbing co come out and charge to diagnose why my piolet light kept going out.

the plumbers said i had to replace the burner unit, which i'd have to call the manufacturer for and wait for and pay them again to install when it arrived and HOPEFULLY that would solve the problem. If not the WHOLE WATER HEATER HAD TO BE REPLACED..

Called Leo. Within 5 minutes he diagnosed it over the phone, no charge, no visit. End result, my dryer is near the water heater and there was lint build up clogging the air vent thus snuffing out my piolet light.

This would have cost me 1500 bucks if I used the plumbing co I thought i could trust.

n fyi, i have never posted on yelp, but Leo, you are worth it.

thank you!

Had a service call and after that I phoned in with a question about the work done. The person answering the phone said, I'll come and check it out. I asked, do I have to pay. They replied no. Then they came out, claimed that there was no problem and charged me. I don't question their trade skills but this was TOTALLY unacceptable and I'd suggest working with someone else.
