I had my first plumbing emergency and I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the plumber was able to come to my house and resolve the issue. Chris was very friendly and didn't charge me a fortune! We would have a huge problem on our hands if he didn't arrive so quickly! We will definitely use them in the future!

While out of town, my son called and said that the floor drain in the basement had backed up and that we had a mess. Although it was Saturday I had him call Lennox Plumbing and ask them to come out and fix our problem. They answered his call right away, listened to his tale of tears, and explained they were being pushed to the limit with other trouble calls and that the best they could do was schedule us between 8:00 & 10:00 that night. When he arrived, after all ready putting in a long day, he, the plumber, determined that the city sewer was the problem and not our drain. What amazed me was no charge for the service call. This man was dead tired from a long day and still made the trip out to help us and didn't charge us. I have been listening to the political scene and this man, and the company he represents have more integrity, and honesty than either of the politicals.

If they promised to run the country like they run their business they would have my vote. since they arn't running I can only thank them for being there to help us when the need arises.

These guys are great. Several years ago water heater went out and they were able to do emergency repair. Water heater is now 11 years old and went out again, was able to get it running and repair cost was a lot lower than what I exepected. Easy time scheduling appointment and showed up during the time window as promised. Pleasant experience overall. Will definitely use these guys when I finally do replacement!

So here's the scoop--several years ago we had another company come out and replace our pipes in our old house. They did a good job but when I asked them about some follow up work, most notably the stack drain in our home (which was beginning to rust where it takes an 90 degree turn) the guy who did the work (not the initial guy we worked with over there) quoted us a really high number for the repair and basically instilled the fear of God in us re: the job (e.g, it's going to go any minute now, it's going to take tearing apart your kitchen to get to this stack, it's going to cost a scary amount of money, etc). Needless to say, as first time homeowners my husband and I were pretty terrified and didn't have the money or the energy to deal with demos, renovations of our kitchen, etc. So we did what any normal person would do in this scenario--we ignored it!

And so we basically pretended the problem didn't exist for 2.5 years, all the while holding our breath that this thing was going to leak at any moment. Finally, I got so nervous about this that I decided to be brave and get a second opinion so I sent the awesome folks at Lenox a message here through Yelp (via the new ""get a quote"" function. Try it, it's awesome!) to just see what they had to say and through messages we set up a time today for them to come by and take a look.

I'm SO glad we did this. Chris came promptly at 1pm (we were given a window of 1-3pm) and took a look. And praise be, he told us the problem was not that bad and we had several more years in it before we really need to do it (the complete opposite of the other guy who was trying to get us to commit to a multi thousand dollar job in a matter of months). He told us he'd recommend that we wait a bit longer and replace it when we plan on doing some other home renovations (which we've been talking about doing in the next few years anyway). He said they'd be happy to do it for us if we wanted but it wasn't really necessary yet so why rush it and do demo twice if we don't need to. Basically he really put our fears at ease and gave us a more workable timeline, which made is so much less stressed about it.

What I really loved, though, was how complimentary he was about our house and how he didn't seem phased by the job itself. We've had so many contractors, plumbers, etc, give us a hard time re: our nearly century old home and complain about how much extra work these types of jobs are. The previous plumber who did the pipe replacement just moaned the entire time about the job (I'm beginning to think he didn't want to do the job which was why he made it sound so terrible). Not Chris, he loved the character within our home and seemed really supportive of making sure we do it the right way to keep the integrity of the home intact. So so grateful!

So we've decided to hold off on that job for a bit longer. But in the meantime I did ask him about a leaky faucet we have in the basement bathroom sink. He took a look and is going to email me a few quotes with two options: replacing the faucet altogether and just repairing it. We'll have them come out soon to work on it and I'll update the review once this is done but I have full confidence they'll do a great job.

Needed gas line to new gas range and gas dryer. They came out and gave free estimate and I thought the price was reasonable compared to other companies so they scheduled me a couple days later. They notified me in advance of time to arrive as no one was living there and arrived within 5 minutes of time. The technician was very professional in work he did. He took a little extra time finding perfect locations for cutting hole in floor for gas line as I expressed to him that I was concerned it would interfere with stove being close to wall. Nice neat installation. Didn't like not having someone answer phone when I called, always leave a message and they call back later. Can live with that and would use them again. Bill Novi

I made an appointment online on weekend and a guy showed up on Wednesday as I asked. Was impressed to see a plumber arrived on time and started his job right away.

My sump pump was completely failed and needed a replacement ASAP so his quick work helped us a lot. Only thing I could ask for the better is that a thorough explanation he could have given to us before he started his work. Only thing he explained to us was the price and told us to stay relaxed.

It was a fantastic job though and I am relatively happy since he completed his job in no time and a new sump pump is working fine which keeps my basement dry. But if he gave us what brand and model he would be installing or better yet if he gave us an option to choose from, it would have been 5 star.

YIKES! Cannot comment on the actual work but I did call them to replace two shut off valves on for a faucet.... They told me there would be a service charge and then $145 per valve.

FYI- that is more than double ANY other competitor I called.But the lady I spoke to was very nice and friendly! Still looking for a more reasonable price.

called 7 plumbers, lenox was the only one that could come out the same day at a reasonable non emergency rate. The plumber showed up, got the job done efficiently, tidied up, and left me with a kitchen sink that drained well and no leaking pipes underneath (we had called because our kitchen sink wasn't draining despite my efforts to use the auger/snake on the drain). Reasonable rate and emailed invoice minutes after the job as complete. The only few minor things were 1) some minor scheduling communication that probably could have done easier/faster over phone than email and 2) needing to ask the plumber to take his shoes off (it'd be nice if people who worked in homes for a living used shoe covers).

We came home from a weekend away to find a pond beneath our kitchen sink in our three year old Mike Miller home. We called Lenox to check out the problem. They not only came once to do so, but allowed us to purchase a faucet that afternoon (which we preferred to do ourselves) and came back early the next morning to get it installed for us. They were great on the phone and great to work with in our home. The job took less than an hour and we appreciated their efforts in getting back here the next day; unscheduled. We won't hesitate to call them again, should we need plumbing service. And with this house...it is very likely that we will!
