Had a pipe burst. The flooding was terrible. It was shaping up to be the worst day of my year thus far. I called Len the Plumber on a Saturday (the day after 4th of July). They had 2 guys here very quickly. Both guys were very pleasant, knew what they were doing and fixed everything in under and hour. I was amazed. I will be calling their supervisor to recommend a raise. They were the silver lining in this tragedy. I HIGHLY recommend them.

I wish I could tell you about their service, but they never made it to my home. After giving me their 4 hr window I called after 2 1/2 hrs of waiting to see where my plumber was. It was only then that they informed me that the plumber wasn't coming b/c he was on an all day jot. They had know for 4 hrs and never bothered to contact me to set up another plumber or make other arrangements. This was my first and last time calling Len the Plumber. i wish I wish I could give them Zero stars! Use them at your own risk! I then called Ken the plumber. Ken is his name and I don't know his last name. He came out the very next morning and fixed my problem and was way less expensive than Len would have been. Ken's number is (301) 524-7242. I highly recommend him.

I saw their advertisements on television and on metro buses and decided to give them a try. Big mistake. The plumber arrived on site and told me that I had a huge problem and outlined a fix. He then said the cost was $396.00. When it came time to fix the problem, he used an entirely different method of fixing it and explained that he would be done in 30 minutes. What a complete rip off to be charged $396.00 for 30 minutes of work.

I never hired a plumber before... most times I can figure it out myself. I did have to call them though for assistance. Their call center was a great help and took care of everything initially. The plumber was on time and courteous. He gave me a quote before starting the work, which seemed high but what I was I to know?

The plumber was actually great. The traditional repair methods weren't working and he had to improvise to repair our situation. He took care of it all; quickly and efficiently.

I would use them again if needed, just because I know I can rely on them. They did seem to be a tad on the expensive side. I guess you get what you pay for though.

I called on a Monday morning because I was without water (water main break). Despite the 24/7 advertising, I was told the earliest they could come out for an estimate was Tuesday from 10am-2pm. So I booked the appointment because I didn't have much choice. However, other plumbers came out Monday afternoon to give me estimates.

At 4:00pm on Tuesday (2 hours after the window) they called to tell me somebody will be free and could arrive in about 45 minutes if I was still interested. I was sort of ok with it but then she said sorry for the delay, it was just that other emergencies came up today for people without water who called this morning. Umm, I was without water yesterday and they told me the earliest somebody could come was the next day. Yet this morning they found a way to accommodate others before me.

I have a feeling once I was on their appointment book I no longer became a priority. You can draw your own conclusions but this left a bad taste in my mouth. There are certainly plenty of other plumbers in the area.

I agree with the writer who felt taken advantage of. I called because of a broken garbage disposal and was given a price of over $500. My husband's in the hospital, I needed it fixed, and I said to go ahead and do it. Later all my neighbors told me that should have been between $150 and $200, max. I now have a recommendation for a new plumber. (Thank goodness I had the sense not to get the new toilet then told me I needed for $660!)

Don't waste your time with Len.

I called Sunday morning about a clogged toilet. In spite of advertising that they worked 7 days a week I was told no one was available.

I agreed on 9-1 on Monday. No one came by 2:00 and I had to go out. They called at 2:30 to say they were ready. Too late.

Also, they advertised that they emailed you a picture of the plumber before he/she came. No such email.

There seem to be a lot of negative reviews about this business, but I had a very good experience with them. We recently bought a house that had been flipped, so of course there are problems with it. I can do a lot of repairs myself, but the plumbing for our kitchen sink is non-standard (that's putting it mildly) so I decided to call a professional when it started leaking some gunk. The plumber arrived quickly and was extremely friendly and professional. It took him almost no time at all to resolve my problem.

Because I had to pay $49 for the service call, he asked if there was anything else I needed done. I really couldn't think of anything, but since it's a new (to me) house, I asked him to just double-check all of the visible plumbing. Although he had a few suggestions for improvements, they were all things I could do myself (which he told me upfront). I had expected him to ""find"" a bunch of ""problems"" but nope, he was very honest. Also, he was totally cool about dealing with a gay couple.

I feel like we've been taken advantage of (that is putting it mildly). We called about a problem with a broken pipe in a hard-to-reach spot. A ""technician"" came out and estimated that it would cost over $400, just to figure out what the final job would require.

I asked several times if that was a fixed price, or an upper limit -- in other words, if the work were much easier than they anticipated, would they necessarily charge the whole $400? I was assured the answer was no.

Today the ""technician"" came out again, spent about an hour taking stuff apart, and then gave us a the final ""estimate"": over $800. So, basically, he gave us this choice: pay $400+ now, and he walks out and leaves things taken apart, or pay $800 and he'll fix it.

In the end, we spent the $800 -- for about four hours work, including travel, and maybe $10 in parts. I'm not opposed to paying a fair price for a job well done, but this was ridiculous.

So, we're still in search of a plumber that will give us a fair shake. Does such a thing exist?
