Recommended Customer Reviews
Robert Maintree from Len the Plumber was fantastic. He was professional, prompt to my questions and clean at work & knowledgable of the issue at hand. He was punctual ... very impressive! I would highly recommend him for plumbing needs!!
I received excellent A/C repair service from John Milchling of Len The Plumber Heating & Air. John was dispatched approximately 30 minutes after my service call and he took his time in diagnosing the issue by even asking me if what I heard was the noise that I called about. He then notified me in relation to the estimated time period for the part and he said that he would be back to install it before the end of the week and he was. So Len The Plumber is in my list of contacts for ""heating/ac and plumbing"" concerns.
I needed to replace leaky bathroom faucet with leaking shut off valve and worn out kitchen faucet. LTP was able to come out same day for service after I had to reschedule. Plumber Lal Rin Sanga arrived promptly,. After looking at the two faucets he wrote up an estimate and gave me a bit of a discount, which I appreciate. He was able to deal with us not knowing where main water shut off valve was and shut off water at sidewalk city supply. He then replaced the two faucets which we supplied. Everything works very well so far and we are pleased with the work. Would recommend but seems pricey. Not sure what going rate is in DC.
Patrice H.I had an HVAC unit that was blowing hot air during these horribly hot days. While I wasn't pleased with the service window of all day, 8-8, and being held hostage in my home, the technician, Richard Liberto, was amazing. He was able to troubleshoot the problem, provide resolution and give us tips On what to watch for. A previous technician and not with Len the Plumber left out a number of screws from the back of the panel. Needless to say we had that issue resolved with Richard as Freon added. Freon is expensive, liquid gold, but what was necessary after the leak was found and remedied by Richard. Thanks for the great work and he will be the only HvAC technician I will ask for. He is professional, full of resources and very nice. The world needs more of Richard.
Larry T.Had them come out to work on my AC unit.
Josue Sotoj Pocon did a great job quickly diagnosing the issue (capacitor) and installed a new one. Very personable service.
Allen S.They used to be good. I've used them many times on the past, and always had good luck.
But now they seem unreliable at best. We have a leak under our kitchen sink, making it unusable, and they've now called to reschedule on us twice.
I will not be calling Len the Plumber in the future, and I recommend you not do so either, unless you like repeatedly waiting around for a plumber who never arrives.
6/27/24 Update to my previous review dated 6/6/2024
The manager did follow-up with me regarding my experience with their company, as well as my review. We were able to reach a mutual & beneficial agreement to resolve my concerns. I appreciate his willingness to do so and the prompt manner in which he and his team handled this matter.
Was charged $478 to snake a bathroom drain. Took about 20 minutes. When I agreed to that price it was for a 90 minute job, so I assumed it would be much more complex. Also I didn't know until afterwards how ludicrous that price is. So I've been calling the office (6 times in the last 24 hours) for a pricing structure explanation and nobody will answer me or connect me with a service manager. They just say someone will call me back, but nobody has. This is a shameful business. Avoid at all costs.
Oscar M.I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Plumber German M. from Len the Plumber for his exceptional service and expertise. After a frustrating experience with a previous technician from the same company and a lot of back and forth with the branch supervisor, German's professionalism and dedication were a breath of fresh air. He not only resolved the plumbing issues efficiently but also took the time to communicate effectively, ensuring I understood the problem and the steps taken to rectify it. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor truly made the entire experience stress-free. I can confidently say that German M. exemplifies excellence in his field, and I am immensely grateful for his outstanding work. This review is only getting four stars, not because of German but because the previous technician made me waste 2 days of work which I will never recover.
My request: Do not come back, and do not bill me a penny.
I went with Len The Plumber because I could schedule an appointment time online the night before. We are a busy family and missing work is tough. We had a clogged toilet that was backing up into the tub. The first red flag was the estimate - I never should have agreed but again, I didn't want to miss another day of work for this. Five hundred to snake the drain and five hundred TO MOVE THE TOILET. I should have said no way. Plus he mentioned the sixteen dollar monthly membership as an option - be careful you aren't enrolled in that.
This amateur spent two hours trying to snake the drain. The snake went through the pipes before emerging in the adjacent bathroom by shattering the toilet, scratching the tile floor, scraping along the wall out to the bedroom where it wrecked a carpet, some furniture, and dragged clothes back into the bathroom - all before the guy even realized there was a problem. He tried to reassure me by saying they would replace the toilet. Then he says the job is bigger than he thought and will cost me more. We had brown water dripping down from the ceiling in the basement but he said it was just a minor drip from from when he removed the toilet.
He kept going at it, going back and forth between the two bathrooms, leaving brown footprints down the hall and through our bedroom. Finally around six pm he starts calling for backup. The second guy's face - clear disbelief- showed his understanding that the place was a total mess and the guy had no clue. Together they worked the clog some more. The plan - run water in the tub while they plunged the hole where the toilet goes. We started shouting that brown water was pouring through the ceiling below, but they kept running the water upstairs. Tan basement carpet is stained.
Finally he says ""can you believe today was supposed to be my day off?"" before telling me he'll need to come back tomorrow. His plan - to cut through the wall to get better access to the pipes. What do you think? Should I let this guy cut into my wall?
The tally so far:
Shattered toilet needs to be replaced
Bathroom floor - white tile now scratched gray will need to be replaced - we will see how the other floor looks under the toilet he moved. The bathroom trim stained black from the snake that shattered the toilet
New carpet in the bedroom
We had to clean the muck stained footprints and clean all the muck off the vanity and bathroom walls.
Water in the ceiling (pray carpenter ants don't move into the wood), stain on the walls and carpet.
Original problem remains
Another day of missed work tomorrow
