Called to get an expansion tank placed on hot water heater. Cost $850. Outrageous price but I paid it. After tech left realized I had no hot water. Arranged for them to come look at it and and hour before my 12-4 window for them to arrive was to expire , they cancelled and said said unable to get a technician out there. Wasted my whole day waiting for them. Ok fine..I rescheduled for another day but that AM decided to search you tube for cause of no hot water. YOU TUBE said to check the circuit breaker. Lo and behold it wasn't tuned back on! Ok honest mistake but they made no REAL effort to compensate me for my dissatisfaction. I asked for a discount on services received and they flat out told me no and would give Me a credit towards future services. That's not what Im asking for.I heated up water in the microwave to ""shower"" for 5 days! No need for a future credit as I will not be returning. A $40 expansion tank turned into a $850 bill and they couldn't return $100 iit to satisfy their customer? Not good customer service.
*update to review. I was contacted by management and pleased to announce they are honoring my request for a discount on services received. Glad to see they are willing to circle back to a customer to make them happy and provide good customer service.
Came within an hour and a half & fixed the toilet in :15 minutes with a $20.00 part. Then charged $275.00. It cost $50.00 to come out then they hit you with an outrageous price. Pay $50.00 & get nothing or pay their overcharged price. They know they have you so they take advantage. Would never use them again & if you do you deserve to be overcharged.
Lauren M.I would give zero stars if I could. Do not call this plumber. I repeat, do NOT call this plumber. Unless you enjoy being taken advantage of.
Their service charge to come out to the house is $49. Absurd. I never in a million years would have agreed to that price but my husband made the call and thought this company seemed reputable so he went ahead and scheduled it. I wish I thought to check these Yelp reviews after he told me he scheduled the appointment so we could have canceled the call.
We were given a $1500 quote for what we needed done. I almost passed out. We got a second opinion today...no charge for the service visit. The quote was HALF of the $1500 quote and they can come back on Tuesday to do the work. HALF!!!!
I think it's incredibly inconsiderate and horribly unethical to try to rob people blind like this...ESPECIALLY during a pandemic when everyone is struggling and trying to help one another out.
You mean to tell me it costs $49 to look at something for 2 minutes, have a 2 minute conversation and then come up with an outrageous quote?
I am a teacher and I am working tirelessly around the clock during this pandemic to make things work for my students and I don't get paid even close to $49 an hour let alone $49 for ten minutes or less. This company should be ashamed of itself for taking advantage of people...especially at a time like this.
Needless to say, we are going with the plumber that gave us the second opinion. I have far more respect for companies that make money without being obnoxiously greedy and taking advantage of customers...especially in the middle of an economic crisis.
Don't waste your time or your money on this company.
I called this business to install a new Moen kitchen faucet that I purchased for my father. This outfit came to my father's house and gave him a $750 estimate. After I made the time I installed it in less than 1 hour. BEWARE!
Eric Q.The technician was great as far as timeliness, appearance, and was very polite and well-spoken. My issue was not with the technician, but is with the business's job pricing practice.
We experienced a broken sewer pipe in our basement, and when the technician went to look at the job, he also informed me that the drain pipe from the bathroom sink would need to be replaced, because of the type of metal, which would mean ripping out tile that's not even two years old. said he needed to speak with his manager first, to come back to me with ""options."" When the technician returned from his truck, he gave me three price points of $5,900, to just replace the sewer pipe and tie all lines back in, $6,900 to replace the sewer line and replace half of the feed lines, and $10,900 to replace every line. We only needed the sewer pipe fixed or replaced. The remaining lines are actually in good condition.
I thanked the technician for his time, and said we'd like to get a second opinion, because it's a lot of money and we need to do our due diligence. The technician looked at me, and said, ""Tell me what you want. Talk to me."" So I told him, we were anticipating paying $2,000, at the most, to which he then said he'd go back out to his truck and see if he could get his manager to come down in price. At this point, I wasn't sure if I was getting plumbing work done, or buying a car.
When the technician returned, he related that his manager had dropped each price by $2,000. The technician continued to pressure us into taking the new deal; if we wanted a second opinion and later decided to go with Len the Plumber, the reduced rate would not be offered.
We wound up calling another plumber who came by, looked at the problem, verified that the only piping that needed replacing was in fact the sewer pipe, which he temporarily patched, and will be back out to replace JUST the sewer pipe for a fraction of Len the Plumber's lowest reduced price. Not to say I wouldn't recommend this company, but homeowners really need to be aware and don't be pressured into anything you don't feel right about.
We had Len the Plumber out last week due to a sewer backup issue. While the team of plumbers arrived on time and were quick to fix the issue, they left a mess. I arrived home to find dirt, mud, leaf and grass debris all over our basement carpet and laundry room. In addition to the mess, they left personal items in which they called to retrieve the following day. I called their office on Friday, 1/10/2020, to inform the office/customer service of how dissatisfied we were with the mess they left. Today is Wednesday 1/15/2020 and I had to call AGAIN because no one has reached out to us to apologize or listen to what we have to say. We paid they $490 for their service, which I later found out shouldn't have cost us more than $349 and then we have to clean up after them. I am not their mother and I am very unhappy about this matter. I would not recommend them to anyone.
Brian A.Great service the plumbers came to the house was professional, easy to talk with and explained everything they were doing.
The reason for the three stars is because of the office staff when I called on the phone. I called on Friday schedule an appointment for them to come out Saturday nobody showed up I called back I was told that the work order was never submitted.
Still no contact from your service manager. Horrible business ethic. I will continue to leave posts until I hear from someone. My goal is to ensure no one is taken advantage of as I was.
Pros:
My technician (Jay Hills) was prompt (once my initial appointment was rescheduled), helpful, and professional. The service side was very good.
Cons:
My initial appointment was rescheduled at the last minute leaving me with no water for an additional day and causing me to waste time waiting for them.
I was charged $250 for a 15 minute job (cutting a thin copper water line and putting a new fitting on it for my refrigerator). I was later told by other plumbers this should have not cost more than $100 max. I even had my own stainless steel line so the only ""parts"" were the small fixture.
For smaller jobs I would not recommend this company as they significantly overcharged me.
Bob P.We called to get a quote and the appointment was set. Upon arrival, the tech was concerned about his shoes, so he put on his shoe covers and went to look at our still functioning water heater on it's 17th year. I also showed him a pipe leak needing repair.
He went to his truck and when he returned the price of the replacement Bradford White 50 gallon water heater was only $1500, we told him great and he had one on his truck. The entire work was completed in about 2 hours or so. Great work at a great price and value. I wish they also offered HVAC services but alas they do not.
