My experience with Lehigh regarding a plumbing issue at my Bethlehem property was not as good as some of the previous reviews.

Initially, I called and there was a delay of an extra week for the estimate because of some personal matters having them get a little behind - no biggie.

The second issue was that I received a text that ""the plumber was on the way"" on the wrong day. If I wasn't in the middle of a required webinar for work, I probably wouldn't have been so annoyed at having to pick up the phone and tell them the estimate wasn't scheduled until the next day. A big problem, no, but they should be able to get the day straight for their estimates.

Last, the much more significant issue is that after Ryan came out the next day for the estimate, but never followed through, though he said I'd have it ""in a few days."" Maybe I should have been clued in since he didn't take a picture or a note, but I took him at his word. To be balanced, Ryan was on time, polite, and answered most of my questions.

When I have a repair that's over $1,000, or so, I typically ask more questions about how they bill. Lehigh, like many (not all) plumbers, likes to give a ""flat rate"" as if that's some sort of deal. My problem was somewhat more complicated than a typical plumbing repair (a 4' X 1' section of concrete had to be cut out to access a damaged pipe under the basement slab). Very simply, I want to know how long it will take, roughly, and how many people will be working on it. That way, as with a mechanic or similar repair person, I can get an idea of what you are charging me per hour for not only the master plumber but the assistant. Again, I realize many plumbers don't like breaking down the cost of a job because that exposes their hourly rates, but if you say you are going to give an estimate, at least have the decency to get back to me even if it is to say I don't think we're a fit for your repair. We can agree to disagree on what's fair or not regarding billing, but we can't agree on just disappearing. I really don't appreciate having my time wasted.

In a nutshell, show up the day your supposed to for the estimate, then follow through on the estimate or at least send an email explaining why you aren't going to do that.

Called Lehigh Plumbing for a repair on our shower valve. Receptionist was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done. Made an appointment for the next day. The owner showed up and completed the repair. Fast service, honest, and very reasonable. Would recommend Lehigh Plumbing to anyone looking for a plumber.

My water heater stopped working on Friday.
I called and spoke with Ashley, who was extremely pleasant and helpful. Saying they couldn't make it out until Monday she gave me the names of two other plumbers and their numbers. They also couldn't make it until Monday. So I confirmed an appointment with Ashley for today Monday. I got a text that Adam was on his way. 5 minutes later Adam arrived a half hour early. He replaced both upper and lower thermostats as well as heating elements. I have hot water again. I'm very pleased with the work, courtesy, professionalism, workmanship and price. They made a bad situation a pleasant experience. I will not hesitate to recommend and call them again when needed .

We had leaking water line manifolds that one company could not repair and we were lucky enough to find Lehigh! The manifold system had to be redesigned to fit in small area left by original construction. Dan came up with a redesign that was more functional and copper. A true work of art ! Dan takes great pride in his work and it shows. Outstanding job! Tough to find plumbers like this these days! Thanks to the team at Lehigh! They are all very professional, responsive and helpful.

I contacted Lehigh plumbing last night as my kitchen sink suddenly went on the fritz. Lehigh Plumbing actually picked up the phone when I called and offered to send someone immediately, but I opted to wait until the morning to save a few dollars. Adam contacted me via text and I even received a text when Adam was on the way to my home. That in itself speaks volumes!!!
Adam was Right on time, very professional and courteous. He took care of the clogged drain in less than an hour. The price was very reasonable to say the least.
This is the type of a total experience one would only hope for in any type of service industry.

We bought our first home and had immediate need of a plumber on multiple fronts. We found Lehigh Plumbing in the throes of quite the misadventure with a clogged kitchen sink. We had made the mistake of looking up plumbers on Angie's List or similar and found a competitor who charged us a service fee to come fail to fix our problem, feed us misinformation about drain cleaners, and ruin our traps in the process. Lehigh Plumbing was straightforward and honest by comparison, and they won our business for the next job, which was far bigger: Replacing two aging (and failing!) natural gas tank water heaters. They were here several times: once late at night when the first heater's blower and shutoff valve failed, again one evening when gas leaked, and then again for each heater. By the end of it, they had hauled away that old junk and installed a state of the art tankless unit. I can't say I'm thrilled that we had to find them this way, but I'm glad we did find Lehigh Plumbing through the experience. They were prompt, professional, and thorough at every step, and Dan in particular really knows his stuff. We couldn't be happier with the results, and now we know who to call for the next job. Thanks to Dan, Adam, and Hunter for multiple jobs well done. Take my advice and don't hesitate to call them for yours.
