After the freeze on January 17th, 2018 we heard a rushing sound in the wall the next morning and looked under the house to discover a water leak. I shut the water off and contacted Leggett Plumbing on the morning of the 18th and they said they could get here the next morning. They arrived at about 10am and I showed them where the leak was and the roaring of water in the wall. There were two guys, but only one went to check out the leak while the other was in the house. He went outside shortly after and said "you don't have a leak, it is the drain that is loose and water coming out". I asked how was that possible when no one is showering, "it probably just thawed out, it should quit in awhile", but why would there be that much standing water in a drain? "It happens, we checked the meter and there is no activity". So I asked how much we owed him and were told $150. As I dug in my purse for money and credit card, my daughter asked if there was some kind of senior discount or something since they didn't really do anything and he took the $100 bill from my hand and said he'd "catch heat" but that would do (we did insist on a receipt which states 'parts and labor') I heard the roaring in the wall all day and night and the next morning (Friday 19th) I discovered a large puddle in the front yard and looked under the house to see water pouring out. I called them and told them the situation and was told that someone would come right back out and we would not be charged again. No one came and when I called back at 4:30pm he said that he was told that it was a drain leaking by his guys which I disputed and he agreed that someone would be out "as soon as they finish the job they are on". Earlier in the day I went to the local SUD and had someone come and read the meter and it showed that water had been running all night and most of the day before and informed Leggett Plumbing of this. No one came. I called all day Saturday and left 3 messages. I called all day Monday and my call goes to voicemail each time. I haven't heard from them since. I got my grandson to come help me, because now I am out $100 and couldn't afford to pay someone else. I have corrugated metal around the bottom of my pier and beam house that is nailed to the hardy board. There is only one place not blocked by vines or junk to get under that side of the house and I showed them when they were here. This metal was never removed (you have to bend it to get in), the nails were still intact, and nothing was disturbed (he had to move things away from the area to get to the leak). We checked all around the house and nothing was disturbed. These people came here and never even looked for the very real leak, asked for and took some stuff we had in the yard, lied about the meter activity, charged an elderly woman $100 for nothing, and now will not return messages or answer my calls. My grandson fixed the leak, it was a coupler that had split. I have photos. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE FOR ANYTHING!

Water was bubbling up in the grass. Leggett fixed it fast and the price was low. I highly recommend!

We paid this company well over $10,000.00 for a new septic. It hasn't worked right since. They have not come out to service it like they are Supposed to. Once we passed the year mark we had to pay $100 a quarter for maintenance, which we did. They just never showed up. They finally contacted us and said there had been a death in the family but they were getting things back on track. They came out and said it had been wired wrong and wanted to charge me for that. I told them no way they put it in they need to fix it. They agreed. They failed to turn in our contract to the county so they sent us a citation. I contacted them again and they said they would take care of it. They never did because the citation turned into a warrant for my husband and a $230 fine!!! Legget plumbing has stopped taking my phone calls.....including Mr legget Sr. This is the worst company to go business wirh and I will be contacting the BBB.

We have hired Leggett twice before and they were good, but ive been calling for 3 days now for some work and they wont answer the phone or return my calls. I saw one of their trucks yesterday in Livingston sitting at a red light. i dialed the phone number on the side of the van and even got the drivers attention telling him I was calling and pointing to my phone. He drove off and i got a recording. STILL NO CALL BACK. What kind of business operates this way? How do they pay their bills if they ignore customers. Im getting my cousin to move here and open a shop with a real live woman answering the phone , he will GET RICH because this backwoods east Texas attitude is ridiculous.

If I could give zero stars I would! Never showed up for the plumbing job. I called and left a msg, never received a call back. Said they would be there for 8:00 AM. Never showed, never called. What kind of business does that??? Answer.....a really bad business!!!!

ONLY 1 STAR CAUSE THIS APPS REQUIRES A STAR RATING! This is the absolute worse company I've ever dealt with. Ok let start from begining.... My husband I care for a property that is rented out for weekends and such. So we turn water off because of freeze go back 2 weeks layer to turn water on and ready for any new clients well there was a leak we fix it and now another leak . After investigation we see the piping is old and dry rotted and needs a total repipe under house (there's plenty of acces). So we call 8 different company's everyone is booked or doesn't do this type of work. So 3 days later we get a call back from the one I left a voice mail LEGGETT PLUMBING. Said he could come give us an estimate next day well he was a no show I call ask he says sorry been tied up will be there tomorrow. So tomorrow comes no show I call him again says sorry finished job from yesterday but I'm 45 mins from you will come do estimate . We wait for 1 and half hours no call no show again I call again he said we just left there we spoke with you I said no you didn't where did you go oh ok was wrong house well can you come to the correct house and look he says no its ok I can give you quote without seeing it will call you in morning once I get worked up. Well 2 days later I called him back he said I was about to call you it will be $1650. We said ok when can you start he said he'd start in 2 days ok great (this was on a Friday) so ok Monday is here we wait and no call no show at 1pm I call him he says oh weather was bad will be there in morning. Ok so now it's Tuesday again no call shows up at 145pm stayed till 245pm said will be bak in morning. Ok so now Wednesday no call no show we call bad weather sorry Thursday sorry had another job had to do. Friday no call no show . Call him oh sorry was raining here thought it was there as well. NOPE NOT A DROP. So now we sre back to Monday . No call no show Tuesday no call no show we call him at 2:30 pm said oh rained Monday so we will be there by 8 am . Tomorrow. So again we wait they show up at 9:36am left before 1pm ( still not completed) . Still no calls nothing we call him Mr Leggett says we got there at 8 am yall weren't there I said no sir you weren't there at 8 am you arrived at 9:36 but yiu never called us. His exact words "well whatever" I said excuse me this is your business and you're going to be rude . So here is where we stand tomorrow is Thursday they are suppose to be there at 8 am and will be finished in 30 mins this is 2:30 pm on Wednesday why can't you finish oltoday he said we will be there in the morning. This is the sorriest company I've ever dealt with. Do not use them . They are unprofessional rude unreliable and liars.

Not pleased with this business! We recently needed repairs on our gas hot water heater, so we called Leggett Plumbing and set up a morning appointment. They never showed up, never called us to explain. When I finally was able to reach them, they "had an emergency," and promised to come the next day at 8:00 AM. Again, I had to call them at 9:00. When the "plumber" finally showed up at 11:00, he had to borrow tools from us and seemed perplexed. Another man then came by and after a few moments announced that the water heater could not be repaired and we needed a new one. My husband knew that was not true, but we got an estimate and then purchased a new water heater anyway. Leggett Plumbers then returned to install the new one, charging us $200 more than their estimate. They made quite a hefty profit that day at our expense (pun intended). What a rip off. The BBB will be hearing about them soon.
