I would give them a zero if I could. I was trying to set up getting an instant filtered hot water system for the kitchen sink. I called a few plumbers trying to get a bid to know how much it would cost. I traded a few calls with Legacy and was given a bid of 300-500 dollars to install a non RO system. John the service manager gave that number. To be specific they would need to come out and look at it which would cost 60.00 but would be taken off the price once they installed it. The young, seemingly inexperienced plumber met me and looked at the sink (in a new home with plug ins available as well as plenty of space). He looked at it for about 5 minutes and had no idea what to do then went to his truck to call John. He came back about 40 minutes later and the bid was 2200.00 if they provided the system and 800.00 if we provided it. Then added the two together so the bid was 3000.00. I made it clear that I would not have scheduled them to come out if it wasn't going to be in the 300-500 range. I spoke to both the person who gave me the bid and John who authorized the bid and both remembered and validated that they had given me those numbers and Hohn did not tell me there were any reasons/complications for it to have gone up so high. He also still insisted on collecting the 60.00 and told me they couldn't give me an itemized bid because they don't do that when I requested one.
In the end I got it installed by another plumber for 325.00 which was the low end of Legacy's original bid. I may only be out $60.00 but their unethical and unprofessional practices really made me feel taken advantage of. We were looking for a plumber that we could use for other projects and trust is one of the top things I need in anyone who I deal with and I was hugely disappointed. I also spoke with John on more than one occasion and gave him the opportunity to make this right and he did not.

Chandler with Legacy Plumbing is amazing! We had a back up and were fortunate to get Sean out to our home quickly for an after hour mainline clean. Everything went smooth but I noticed my shower backing up a couple days after. Chandler quickly came out to make sure it wasn't something their company overlooked. He explained what was going on and shared some knowledge on how I can prevent further back ups. He had tons of patience explaining the answers to my questions. He checked the main line again and threw in a complementary camera to show us that all was good. He also cleaned an additional 3 drains for us, and the price was great! Excellent customer service and very knowledgeable, I highly recommend Chandler and the crew over at legacy plumbing!

Drew from Legacy Plumbing was great! I am a nanny for someone they did work for and when coming in while he was working he was very open and friendly. He let me know what he did and why he was there. Great encounter with him! Highly recommend Legacy and HIGHLY recommend Drew!

We had a toilet issue on a Friday, and Legacy Plumbing came that same day to fix our toilet and replace a valve. Drew was sent out and he was able to call me with all of the details and quotes and work on the project while I was not at home. He was very professional, friendly, and did a great job. He also checked out and quoted me for some other services for the future. I was pleasantly surprised at the total, as it was very reasonable, especially for such a short notice fix. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

Our 2 year old water heater went out last Wednesday. I called Legacy Plumbing because of all the excellent reviews online. Shelby took our call and was friendly and professional. She was able to get someone out to our house that evening. We had Sidney arrive at our home. I had told them that the water heater's status light had been blinking 3 flashes in a sequence so a broken pressure switch? She was able to diagnose it as such after a couple phone calls to our plumbers who had more experience (her words, not mine). She admitted she didn't know a lot about water heaters being she only had 3 years of experience. I told them that the unit was 2 years old and asked about warranty information... ""We don't handle that."" Ok, I suppose I can contact them after you fix it and see if they'll reimburse me? ""Yep, that should work."" (I know, ignorance on my part)

Up until this point, only the warranty thing bothers me a little. Before they left, they told us they would send a couple quotes over email for replacements. Not part replacements....unit replacements! I asked how much the part was. Was the part almost the same amount of money as just replacing the whole water heater?! A two year old one at that?

Her response, ""I have no way of telling you. We only carry A.O. Smith and Westinghouse. I couldn't even guess on a price. But the part will take at least a week to get in and we can install a new unit tomorrow.""

She sent the quotes...$5000 for a tankless heater or $3000 for an A.O. Smith 75 gallon heater! I'm guessing a pressure switch is not that much.

We have a Richmond (Rheem) water heater. We found the part online for $40 at Rheem. Sidney did get back to us the next day and quoted us $412 to replace the $40 part.

I called Legacy to ask how much they charge for labor per hour. Shelby answered again and said she couldn't say...it's job dependent.

We then called Daniel Olson plumbing. We told him the issue. He said that we should check our warranty since it's 2 years old and we should be able to install it ourselves. But if needed, he could install it. He charges $108 an hour plus $8 to walk in the door. Legacy charged us $97 to walk in the door.

We called Rheem. If was under warranty, they gave me a whole new blower assembly for free, free overnight shipping, and said it came with instructions. It should be no problem. It arrived the next day. 15 minutes later I had it installed. It has worked great since.

Moral(s) of the story:
Don't let Sidney from Legacy look at your water heater
Go to Daniel Olson Plumbing
Rheem has great customer service

Asked them to come and repair a bathroom sink with a broken stopper. They sent a trainee to do the work. After dealing with a slow draining sink for 9 months we asked them to come back and verify if the part they installed was defective (it seemed to be catching on something) or if maybe the trainee they sent installed it incorrectly. ""Sorry, out of warranty, you have to pay for the service call and any parts we replace."" They do not stand behind their work, wouldn't even come and verify the job was done right.

Today I used Legacy Plumbing for a 3rd time. Jon and Sidney were amazing at explaining our options for a water heater replacement on a Sunday. Super responsive, knowledgeable, and outstanding customer service. They did not make us feel like a ""bother"" on a weekend (which we have experienced from other companies in the past.) They have now taken care of a past plumbing leak, toilet install, and now water heater replacement. Highly recommend for all plumbing repair/replacement needs.
