At the end of 2000, Vicky Griffin, in partnership with her parent Bruce L. Griffin, Bruce S. Griffin, and her niece founded what is now known as Legacy Heating & Air Conditioning. This allowed three family members to collaborate in the same enterprise.

We are not only a complete HVAC-R provider, but our expertise extends to branching out into additional services such as indoor air quality, air cleaning, and ductwork cleaning.

As of April 1, 2006, the Guardian Services company joined Legacy Heating & Air Conditioning, welcoming Vicky's uncle, Jim Murphy, to the family business. They has functioned for over 30 years as a heating and cooling service and also specializes in home remodeling.

I just had Jason from Legacy air come over to fix my HVAC system which was not working and the line were freezing up. I told him what was going on and the symptoms and he immediately knew what to check. He had the system tested by a machine and found the my Freon was a pound low by the system was holding pressure. He gave me the price before starting the repair and was in and out within an hour. He also answered some questions I had while he was here and he was very pleasant. They will be my HVAC contractors going forward.

Showed up on time, professional and extremely knowledgable within his profession. This guy was a straight shooter, which is such a relief these days. I've had dealing with two other companies and I always felt like I was being ripped off. Not this time. Again with these people. Had Legacy come out in the winter last year for the heater. Which was a simple fix and only cost the service fee. I call them the Monday after July 4th for my ac, not expecting much in the way of appointments because of the heat wave. Got an appt for 2 days later in the evening. They call the day before. Repairman is running ABOVE schedule and can he come out the next morning? Yes, please. Super nice guy. Fixed the problem, walked me through everything. And STILL the labor and parts was almost the same as the service call. I will ONLY call this company for HVAC and I will only recommend this company from now on.

Had A furnace for 1 year 3 months. The fan would not come on. After talking with another service tech from a competitor, was told that the Goodman furnaces have a habit of air locking. This can be fixed by removing top access panel and removing the two rubber hoses and blowing through them. Today I had legacy come out to do maintenance and told him that the fan was not coming on. before I could tell him I will blow through the tube, he scoffed and said that's a repair and would charge me $99 to fix. I felt that was rude and told him to take a hike. There are other companies out there who do not try to rip you off on service, go with them. The service tech from there competitor helped me for free.

This review of Legacy Heating and Air Conditioning is a testament to their business integrity and core values. In particular, I have been very impressed with the decisions made by Vicky G, the owner. I can tell you unequivocally that she strives to ""make it right"" with the customer, and that the Legacy reputation is more important to her than making a quick buck.

In May of 2013, I hired Legacy to do $2,946.00 worth of work at my residence. The work consisted of installing gas lines and as well as a new air conditioning unit. John came out and replaced questionable gas tubing with black iron pipe. While doing the work, he noticed a potential hazard - a large cluster of unsupported gas pipes extending down from the ceiling. Concerned about the family's safety, John took the time to fashion some sheet metal into a sturdy support bracket, and secured the wayward pipes. This was all done as a favor to the customer as it was outside the scope of the work. The air conditioning unit was installed by another service technician.

Five years later, in June of 2018, I turned on the ""new"" air conditioning unit for the season. It was not cooling as adequately as it had in past years. I stopped by Legacy and discussed my concerns with Steve. Steve immediately sent a service technician (Jason I believe) to top off the unit with refrigerant, as an interim measure. This was done either the same day or the next, at no cost to me. In the meantime, the technician found a problem which was covered under warranty. There was no hassle and no warranty paperwork to fill out - Legacy had all the records. Steve consulted with Vicky and a decision was made to replace my air conditioning system with a brand new unit. I was placed on the new installation schedule, with a 3 or 4 week lead time.

This morning, John (same John) and Andreian arrived, and unboxed the new unit. They had it up and running by lunch time. Both men were very pleasant to work with, and I would certainly welcome them back into my home for HVAC work in the future. Legacy stands behind their work and honors their warranties. They have definitely impressed me!
