I've used Legacy in the past for a water/ice hookup, so when my hot water heater decided to leak water all over my laundry room at 9 pm, I knew who I was going to call. Matt had me set up for an appointment the next day.

Dave came and took out the old hot water tank, installed the new one, and cleaned up. He even helped me get the water off the floor and set up for drying. Very nice and professional.

My dogs like him, too.

Our toilets started bubbling and we called Legacy. They fixed what they could and all seemed well but we ended up with another problem on Christmas Eve. Matt came and figured out what the issue was with a great attitude in the freezing cold. I have used them on many other occasions and I can say they are reasonable, reliable, and professional. I called Legacy up after having a terrible drain issue within our bathroom. Other plumbers we had called said that they could schedule us in a week from now, but having only one bathroom and not being able to use it meant we couldn't wait. When I called Legacy, Matthew was so helpful and said that someone would be out that afternoon, only to call me back a little bit later to know that the plumber would be there within 30 mins. I couldn't believe it. Then when Aaron arrived, he was very professional and friendly. He gave me a couple different options and even after hitting a possible snafu with the option that I picked he worked his hardest to make everything work out. I was very impressed. Then once everything was done, he even cleaned up the little bit of a mess he made and gave me some information on a product that could help us in the future. Wonderful company!

I live in Texas but needed work done at my mom's house in Havelock. We have used this company before and have always been pleased. They came out right away. Taran was very proactive and noticed some other items that needed to be taken care of, which saved me more time and other trip charges. He kept me well informed of each job as it came up, even sending me pictures. He was professional, efficient, and friendly.
I believe good service is about honesty and dependability. And that is what I've gotten with Legacy Plumbing. It's one thing to be home with the service, and another to have to be in another state hoping that someone will do what they say they will do. We will continue to call on Legacy Plumbing when a plumbing need arises!
Side note on trip charges: I work for an irrigation company and ironically $49 is the exact same amount we charge to go out. Maintenance on trucks, gas, and cost of licensed techs is not free. We also charge an hourly rate beginning the minute we arrive, just to begin assessing. And we are a 5 star company featured in two of our local best picks magazines. So whether you're there or here, trip charges are necessary. When you go with an actual company, you get more, like warranties, and someone who will answer the phone if you need to call back. However, the choice of your peace of mind is always up to you.

Legacy Plumbing of New Bern did an outstanding job for two separate projects for us, including replacing our hot water heater and gas pipeline. They were extremely timely, professional, and demonstrated the highest quality of work. The prices were fair and they finished both jobs on schedule and within budget. If needed in the future, I won't hesitate to call them for our plumbing-related first service needs.

We called Legacy located in Morehead City on a recommendation from another App I use. They sent a plumber out to give us an estimate for extending our gas lines for a fireplace and dryer conversion. The plumber told us we would receive an email in about 2 days. After 10 days sndb4 messages got Mathew on the phone. Turns out all they give you is a span if prices. No itemization whatsoever. They charged 49.00 for this ""non-estimate"". We are flabbergasted that they could do an estimate without knowing the cost of labor per hour and how can you possibly order materials without knowing the number of products to be used? Hired them to skake a pipe, they charged 49.00 just to go out. Then later I get a call that they had prices for me, they wanted to charge over 300$ for the job. I said, hell no! Call someone else, they are a ripoff company!!
