DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Lefty's Plumbing is CRAZY EXPENSIVE!!! ... Do you due diligence before agreeing to pricing from these guys! They tried to charge $1,000 an hour for basic plumbing work that can be performed by any licensed plumber. They wanted $5000 to do just a half days worth of work. Very disappointed in my experience with Lefty's Plumbing!


The business owner is extremely dishonest and preys on his customers for not knowing any better. Read the reviews of other customers who have given Lefty Plumbing a bad review, the reviews speak for themselves. The owner is extremely condescending and overall very rude.

I had 5 other licensed and reputable plumbers out to review the scope of work, and every single quote that was received came in under $2,000. Significantly under the $5000 estimate provided by Lefty's Plumbing.

I would highly recommend calling any these other licensed plumbing companies: ALMCO, Point Loma Electric & Plumbing, Frankie's Plumbing, Exodus Plumbing or Five Star Plumbing. (YOU WILL BE HAPPY THAT YOU DID NOT ENGAGE IN BUSINESS WITH LEFTY'S PLUMBING.)

Tried to change the shower valve myself, have done it before. But this time it was stuck! Called one place, they were too busy to come out. Thank God I called lefty's next, Rafael didn't hesitate to say he would take care of me today, even though it was 3:30pm when I called! He was finally able to make it out at a little after 7pm! I know he must have been hungry , but his concern was that I get my water back on! Thank you very much! Great service!!

After putting off that which other plumbers had warned us about for decades, we finally had to face the music. Our 60+ year old iron, brittle, rusted pipes finally failed beyond all possible repair. Rafael and his crew helped us transition to the 21st century and ABS plumbing. They were professional, courteous, polite and respectful. Our floors had to be jackhammered and the dirt under the foundation had to be removed. His crew made sure they isolated the work area. They protected the rooms and floors from dirt and made sure their areas were clean before they left for the day. I have to be honest. Our project was not cheap (low 5 figures.) Lefty's did have an excellent credit payment plan. You might want to see if you can qualify for it before proceeding with your project otherwise be prepared to use your high limit credit card(s).

Even after our project was completed, Rafael mentioned we aren't clients, we're friends. If I needed any other services, he would be sure to refer me to people he knows can be trusted. If my car broke down his crew is all over the county and he would be glad to send someone to assist me. Now THAT'S what I call good customer service! Very impressive!

I called Lefty's plumbing at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. On a Friday. I had a leaky water heater. Dennis came and did an amazing job replacing the water heater for me. By 5 o'clock, I had hot water. Thank you so much.

Lefty's Plumbing has been a lifesaver for us! I texted them in the evening when our water heater stopped working, and immediately got an appointment for the next day. When we determined the water heater needed to be replaced, they changed it out on the spot, even staying until after 8pm to complete the job. They have been super responsive and reliable, and are reasonably priced, too. Am very happy with their service, and highly recommend!
