Lee Mechanical
Company Overview
Lee Mechanical stands out as a mechanical contractor that delivers plumbing, heating, cooling, electrical, and pre-construction services. Our experienced staff is devoted to ensuring quality service. Customer satisfaction is our priority, and we aim to surpass expectations on every project.
In the summer of 1976, Lee Mechanical was founded in the basement of Bob Lee Sr. and Natalie Lee's residence. That spring, Natalie urged Bob to focus on launching his own company, and they set off on their journey. Initially, our focus was on plumbing, welding, pipe fitting, and site utilities. In the early 2000s, we expanded our services to include HVAC, and in 2008, we added electrical. By incorporating electrical and HVAC, we created a complete service experience for our customers. We expanded into Milwaukee in the summer of 2019, launching our Oak Creek office.
After 40 years in business, we continued to adapt to the needs of our clients and the talent we sought to attract. Our growth inspired us to enhance our leadership, ownership, and overall brand to encompass commercial and industrial building systems. In the fall of 2019, we rebranded as Lee Mechanical.

My neighbor told me he was having his lead water main replaced at no cost by the City Of Kenosha. I called the city and they told me the program ends in a month and if I wanted it done I need to move ASAP otherwise when the city mandates it in the future I'd have to pay out of pocket. They sent me forms and a list of pre approved contractors told me to get atleast one quote fill out and sign the form but I needed to do immediately.
Lee Mechanical was on the list so I called and talked to Julie Kunath and set a date/time to get a quote. The guy showed up ontime, very polite and knowledgable he said looking at my house I qualify and as soon as the water/gas etc lines were marked then I'd get on the list. A few days go by and I notice all my neighbors lines are being marked. Being the timeline is moving along I called Lee Mechanical on Friday to see where I was on the list. I was told Julie Kunath is the only person handling this all and she took a day off, they assured me she would call me on Monday.
Monday comes and no call, so I called again. The person who answered was very polite and apologetic and said Julie was on the phone and busy making up for being off on Friday, they assured me she would call. I waited 2 hours and decided to call the city and was told the contractor is supposed to call wedig to get the lines marked but I could call if I wanted to expedite it so I called wedig myself. Within a hour I looked out and they were marking my water line. I tried to call Julie Kunath again to let her know I had the lines marked and was told she's out to lunch and the guy would email her to call me. I went out to talk to the guy marking the line and a pickup truck pulled up and was joking around with the guy doing the marking. I kinda got the drift he was also a contractor doing the replacements. I told him the trouble I was having and he said he was told by the city that day that only 50 spots were left. He asked if I wanted him to take a look so I said yes. They confirmed I had a lead water main and took a picture. I asked him if he could do the replacement for me and he said yes. He pulled a form out of his truck, we filled it out and signed it. He emailed the picture to the city and told me he would turn in the form and I'm now covered. Took him all of 15 minutes while I'm waiting almost a week and a half for Lee Mechanical to get this done for me. Monday came and went and Julie never called.
It's now Tuesday and still no call from Julie. I have no idea why they didnt give me the courtesy of a phone call. The woman answering the phone for Lee was very polite and apologetic everytime I talked to her and the guy who came out to do the estimate was professional and polite. I cant comment on their work but their attention to customers is lacking. If they were all booked or had some other problem they could have told me instead of keeping me waiting when they know full well the program is ending soon. I even mentioned to Julie when we first spoke that I was concerned about the timeline. And here we are at the close of business and still no call.
Phil H.Paid 150$ for an estimate on June 14th for electrical work and was also asking for an estimate for hvac. HVAC went on vacation and never called back and after a month of emails i finally received the electrical estimate. I asked for an ETA on the work and if it possible to add one outlet to the job, but if the outlet delayed to proceed with the quoted work. No responses for a few more weeks. Frustrated i called to speak with the office and request a refund. Was told I would be called back. Fast forward to the next week and no call backs, i call again to get a refund and am told that the person able to issue the refunds is aware of me , and im on her list but she hasnt had the time to call me back yet. as they are short staffed in the office and noone else is able to assist. Finally am escalated to someone named amanda who informs me that the person reponsible for refunds will try and call me back within a day or 2. Based on previous experiences, im not hopeful at this point. I hear they do good work BUT with customer service like this i cannot recommond their services at this time.
Called about lead service replacement, and was told they don't do that. I was under the impression they were full service.
This plumber wore a mask as well as booties to protect my floors. He was professional and worked efficiently. The cost was extremely reasonable. I will call Lee Mechanical next time I need work done.
