A team’s leader reveals much about its character: their integrity, attitude, and connections with people.

Mo grew up in the Bay Area and studied at DVC, CSU Chico, UC Berkeley, and finally, the University of British Columbia.

During his youth, Mo was a top-ranked national and international gymnast, and later, a cherished coach.

After completing his studies at Chico, Mo went to the University of British Columbia to pursue his Masters and enjoy additional years of gymnastics eligibility.

Mo acquired the expertise that makes the LeapFrog team reliable, learning plumbing and construction products and installation from the inside out at - do you recall? - Simon's Hardware in Walnut Creek and Home Depot in Concord.

Eventually, Mo's entrepreneurial passion motivated him to launch his own business, LeapFrog Plumbing, where he and his team get to work.

We called Leapfrog because we had an issue with our hot and cold water crossing. They were scheduled to come between 2-4, and didn't arrive until 5:30. They said it was because we didn't answer our phone. We have caller id, and it looked like they never called, but ok, everybody makes a mistake. We liked the estimate, called the next day and got an appointment for Friday (2-4) for them to do the repair. I also confirmed they had our phone number, because of the confusion. On Friday I waited at home from 2-5:30 again, and they never showed, never called. Very disappointing...Now after wasting 5 hours waiting for them, I have made no progress on my hot/cold crossover.
Update: I still haven't heard back from Leapfrog... but they sure did write a long response here.... Thankfully we found a 5 star rated plumber on yelp who was less expensive, and more reliable.

Walter and Kevin installed my Noritz tank less water heater today, and I couldn't be more pleased. They are as personable as they are professional--accomplished visual thinkers who were completely up to the tricky business of upgrading this old house with it's tight corners and tiny crawl spaces. Hats off also to Kristal in the office: she returned phone calls and emails seemingly within seconds of receiving them, and was a wizard at scheduling around my wacky work hours. This is a beautifully run, first-class outfit--and the frog graphics are adorable!

We've used Leapfrog for years. Everything from a faucet drip to replacement of our sewer line from the house to the street. They have always been very responsive (even on a stormy New Year's eve for an outdoor flooding issue). This time it was a toilet issue. John estimated, Maurice (owner) called to discuss further, and Terry H. came to do the toilet work. He arrived within the time slot, did a good job in a timely fashion. They are tidy and as quiet as plumbers can possibly be. I depend on them and haven't been let down yet.

Highly expedient service. Had some emergency repairs, Our regular plumbing company could not deliver in a timely fashion. Leapfrog confirmed appointment on the same day in the evening, and work was completed by Terry in just over 2 hours.

This company was wonderful! Walter came out to replace two toilets and he was very helpful. It ended up being more complicated than anticipated and Walter made sure I understood what was going on and helped me pick the best option. The work was high quality and reasonably priced. I will definitely use this company again!

We were under contract to sell our house (Lafayette), with condition that a plumbing problem flagged by buyer's inspector be fixed. Having used Leapfrog in past and having been pleased with the service, I gave them a call.

Aaron came out, crawled under the house (very tight overhead clearance). Upon emerging, said problem was twofold: leaky toilet, caused dampness on soil and clogged sewer line. He surmised that clog was between connection under toilet and where hooks up to main.

He fixed toilet leak in a trice (all that was needed was new wax ring -- he installed two as ""seller's insurance."" Recommended hydrojetting from rooftop vent to clear clog. He quoted a price that sounded reasonable, particularly in light of fact that a commercial-duty hydrojet had to be rented to supply enough pressure to ensure clearing line.

Two days later he and coworker Gordon returned with a monster hydrojet sitting on an eight-foot-long trailer that came with it fromlocal rental-equipment company. The charge was more b/c unit had to be trucked from Cresco store in Oroville, not exactly a hop, skip and jump away.

The greatest challenge, as it turned out, was getting pickup-cum-trailer backed out of the driveway, as it required a very tight right-angle turn. After several attempts, guided by Gordon, Aaron managed to get it exited.

As for the job itself -- a relative piece of cake compared to entering and exiting driveway -- was completed in under an hour. Aaron assured me that although the rental unit -- basically a narrow firehose -- would be applying extreme pressure, it did not pose a threat to the pipes, as he had determined from initial visit that all couplings were secure.

I told Aaron that as seller I needed evidence that the line was in fact clear. For a modest added charge ($89) he ran a separate line -- a cable to which a video camera is attached at the front end -- allowing me to watch the laptop monitor as he fed the camera cable though line. Voila, clean as a whistle. He even said that given circumstances -- that buyer wanted proof line was clear -- he said that upon returning to the office he would transfer the data file to a thumbnail drive and mail it to me at no additional charge. Very nice gesture, and much appreciated.

Both he and Gordon demonstrated admirable professionalism. They knew what needed to be done, and on a very hot day, did it with smiles on their faces. They could not have been more courteous or friendly, and respectful of the property that would soon have a new owner.

Based on this and prior experiences, Leapfrog gets a gold star from me, and I am not necessarily easy to please.

Repairmen are friendly and professional.

Lindsey, whom apparently runs the office, was very confrontational when we asked her to apply previous charges to any further work since the repairmen never fixed our problem the first time. She became very defensive and said she'd have to speak to the owner about it.

Well I made one last request for LeapFrog to come out and unplug my shower, the original problem. She said she would call me the next day to schedule a time. It's been 2 weeks, Lindsey, where is my call. Did you really just blow us off?

Too bad I can't refer just repairmen, because I wouldn't recommend LeapFrog based the customer service from Lindsey.

This is an excellent company. We've had them service our home for a number of issues ranging from toilet back flow to vibrations in the water pipes. Communication during the initial inspection was excellent and at each step of the way they explained what they were going to do, the underlying issues causing the problems and the cost for a solution.

If you get Terry he is a great technician and was able to diagnose a very tricky problem we were having with phantom noises from our water system. The owner Maurice is also a very nice guy and leads a great business.

Since moving to Walnut Creek 5 years ago and taking on a major renovation project we've had our share of plumbing problems. After using two other well-known plumbing services unsatisfactorily we contacted Leap Frog and there's been no looking back. Leap Frog has responded quickly and efficiently to issues ranging from leaky faucets to a backed up sewer line and also took on major jobs like replacing our sewer line to the street (yay! no more back ups) and our water heater. I have Leap Frog on speed dial and recommend them to anyone who will listen. I feel a sense of relief whenever I see their distinctive vans running around the Walnut Creek Lafayette areas.

I had a very difficult blockage problem in my sewer pipe and the team at leapfrog kept at it until they diagnosed the problem. It took a little while but in the long run they fixed the problem and did so for a reasonable price. And they were very neat about the whole thing. Really you can't ask for more. Thank you so much and I hope I don't need you again too soon! ;)
