Shawn from Leaksmith is the person/company you recommend to friends and family. I called him in a panic my waste line backed up through my two basement sinks early one Monday morning. Shawn was at my house near momentarily to check the situation then had one of his guys snake the line. They did such a great, CLEAN & thorough job I had them do more plumbing that was much needed in my house. The price, professionalism and service was beyond what was needed especially in the time of panic. Thanks again!!

My bathtub was leaking hot water, I called and spoke to Shawn and sent him a photo. He sent someone that night to assess the tub. Gave me a fair price and told me he would do the job the next day at noon. To his word they showed up at my house at noon and completed the job in a few hours. His team is amazing and friendly. A week before christmas, we had a water main break in our home which quickly began flooding our basement. I reached out to LeakSmith and Shawn was on the scene within 20 minutes. When he saw the amount of water filling the basement he responded quickly to prevent further damage in our home and waited with us until the water company arrived which was about an hour later. The pipe coming into our home was lead, which we were made aware of by past plumbers would be a hassle to replace or repair should something ever happen. At the time, the pipe had a slow leak which another plumber was unwilling to fix because he explained it would be too difficult to repair the interior part of the pipe. Shawn took the time to explain to us the complexity of the situation without instilling fear in us, pertaining to the amount of work which may be needed to repair or replace the water main before christmas. Leaksmith made their repairs immediately, making us feel comfortable and as though we were a priority. Shawn followed up with us the next day to see how everything was with the work that was done. Very professional & very much recommended to anyone in need of an honest & reliable plumber. Thank you Leaksmith!!!

After seeing some great reviews on Yelp, I contacted Leaksmith for a last minute emergency repair in my basement. Shawn and his crew were prompt, professional and finished the job of installing a new grinder pump and utility sink in a few hours. Their rates are reasonable and I would definitely use and recommend Leaksmith for all future plumbing repairs.

To stumble upon such a remarkable plumbing company, without recommendation, is truly a rare experience now a days. I'm thankful for yelp as always in helping the community provide transparency to allow others to benefit.

I'd like to take a moment to specifically talk about Shawn, owner of the business. Not only is he reliable, his team comes when he tells you they will, his communication is polished and attentive; text or phone whatever works for you. That's priceless to me. The trust you instill in this type of work is monumentally important for anyone who's experienced it. Plumbing is a foreign world for me, thus that naturally comes with nerve-wracking emotions. After meeting and receiving quotes from upwards of a dozen plumbing companies, I decided on Shawn and Leaksmith. He wasn't necessarily the cheapest, although very willing to work with your budget, he was incredibly intelligent and real. He tells you how it is, politely of course! He also encourages the right way, not the easiest.

We worked on an entire bathroom remodel in my first home. This was inclusive of entire redo of plumbing and water pipes throughout the entire home as well as custom plumbing and install to allow for tub, handheld, and shower scenarios that are not only unique but far from ordinary. From unique installs to custom combined pieces, Leaksmith didn't miss a beat. With his engineering and guidance we resulted in not only what I wanted, but better. It's truly brilliant to be working with a plumbing company that is suggestive but receptive to your wants while providing you with the reassurance of safety and technicalities. At one point I received a text from him asking if I'd be home. I wasn't sure what else there was left for him and his team to do so I asked. He said, ""I want to make sure you're happy."" That stuck with me. He's prideful and hardworking and really commits to his customers. Shout out to his team, Jay, and the others for being quick, hardworking, and just as communicative.

Lastly, I cannot express how lovely my bathroom has turned out. I also cannot express how grateful I am to have found such a reliable and progressive company this early in my home-ownership life. Please take the time to, at minimum, speak with Shawn. I'm sure he'll take care of you like he did me. Cheers Leaksmith, I'm excited to know when it comes to plumbing, I officially ""got a guy"" that's better than the rest.

I asked Shawn for a written estimate for the job that we verbally agreed upon - fixing the kitchen drain back-up and re-sealing the gap around the pipe wall (where he drilled when he changed that pipe) so there won't be a gap around it where rodents can enter. Having had a business before, my husband and I know that if it's not written, people can renege on the verbal agreement. He didn't give it to me. Instead, he sent someone with less experience and I ended up with another leaking pipe. On top of that, Shawn threatened to sue me because I was trying to hold him to our verbal agreement. He claimed that he doesn't do cosmetic but he initially agreed to do it, over the phone with my husband and I. I have 3 witnesses that heard him while he was threatening me over the speakerphone. He gave me a receipt for the 2nd job but I had to email him to give me the receipt for the first job which I promptly paid for.

$800 later, my kitchen sink still backed up with soap suds and water (which was why I originally called the plumber) causing damage and molds to the wood under my sink. It was also a health concern because I have a special needs child with Asthma (including me and some of my son's nurses too). I had to notify the condo Board so they could fix the clogged main pipe which was the real cause of the drain back up. Thanks to the Condo VP, he is trying to fix this problem now.

We got in over our heads with (what was supposed to be) a simply DIY....Sunday 10pm I messaged Shawn of Leaksmith Plumbing and Heating on his Yelp page and at 10:02pm he called and made sure we were ok for the night,(which we were) and let us know he would be there Monday morning. And he was! By Monday afternoon everything was fixed, and cleaned up! He and his team were thorough and professional. We could not be happier and will DEFINITELY use LEAKSMITH PLUMBING & HEATING again! (hopefully not for any emergencies! haha!)
