Our family had a very positive experience with Brent Graham of Elite Leak Detection that we would like to share with fellow Yelp readers. We have had to fix many age-related plumbing issues recently in our 30-year old tri-level townhome. Sometime after the faucet was replaced in third-floor bathroom sink and subsequent follow-up work done, there was a leak onto the second floor ceiling which left stains in several diverse areas. Our plumber could not give us an estimate to fix the leak without opening up the ceiling and walls. I researched Yelp to find a plumber who specialized in leak detections. Elite Leak Detection's office was located nearby in Torrance and Brent promptly returned my call on Monday morning and came out to our tri-level townhome on Wednesday morning to do a residential leak inspection at a very reasonable fee.

With proper questioning about recent plumbing repairs, moisture meter and thermal readings of the stains on the ceiling, making an opening in the ceiling, analyzing water stains on the bathroom sink cabinet, Brent concluded that the leak occurred after the faucet was replaced and water run and before the same plumber returned to do follow-up work on the sink plumbing. Brent was able to clarify that the leakage was a one-time occurrence and that no need plumbing work was necessary!

We were further relieved that his residential leak inspection report came with a 30-day guarantee! We initially had another leak detection company come and find the leak under our living room slab. After being quoted a ridiculous amount, I found Brent on Yelp and asked for his second opinion. Knowing that I had already done a leak detection and was reluctant to pay for another one, he was very professional and understanding of the situation - he explained that the quote from the first leak detection/plumber was too high and that there was a possibility that due close proximity to the pressure regulator, the first guy could have misjudged the leak location. I decided to let Brent take a stab and he actually found the leak in the office! He pumped air through the pipes and I could hear the bubbles from the leak so that was a dead give away (the first guy didn't even let me listen). The first guy also told me that the leak under the slab could result in foundation crack and mold, which Brent rebutted. Brent proceeded to fix the leak and did a great job. I was very satisfied with his professionalism and honesty, he even took off his shoes to come in. I will definitely call on him next time and would highly recommend him to anyone.
