HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE With Leak busters

- leak busters scheduled to investigate our leak. 30 minutes before scheduled time, they sent me a text that they are increasing price from 350 to 550 $ because pool has more features. Before I schedule with them, I had told them about each and every feature of pool.

- here comes another fun part - even if I agree to pay, they are switching time to 1 week later.

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL and IRRESPONSIBLE

Avoid this pathetic service at all cost! They don't worth even a penny of yours.

I usually don't write reviews but this one takes the cake! I needed a leak assessment to provide to my warranty company. These guys came out and determined that the leak was coming from the irrigation system, not the pool. Told me I would have a report in a few days due to a backlog. When I never heard from them, I called the office and repeatedly got voicemail. After not hearing back, I assumed that they were not going to send the report. More than 5 months later I received a call from the office stating I had an outstanding balance and that the report was emailed to me several times. I told the woman that I have no emails, texts, or prior calls from this company and had yet to receive the report. I ended up having to hire another company to provide the report. Now 5 months later you leave this very defensive voicemail. Shortly after the voicemail, I receive a text. (again the first time I am hearing from them and 5 months too late). The office rep was rude and basically suggested I was lying about not previously receiving the report and invoice. She told me that maybe I need to check my spam and my texts for all of her communications which she had right in front of her. I asked her to forward those communications to me, today...... I'm still waiting. She then suggested that regardless of not receiving the report, I should have known what was in it. But the point is that I was very clear as to what I was paying for - a written report for the warranty company which was the whole purpose of having the leak detection assessment. This was agreed upon with the technician upon arrival. I told her to email the report today and I will promptly pay even though it is 5 months later and of absolutely no use to me at this time. (still, no emails sent). She then informed me that I can find the report and invoice in the text she sent today. I located the text and promptly paid the invoice. I noticed on the invoice that they had my name spelled incorrectly and since my email is my first and last name, I would not have received their supposed emails or maybe they just forgot to send the report at the time and realized it 5 months later, I guess I'll never really know. I would have been receptive to an honest mistake but this over-the-top accusation was absurd. In the end, the 2nd company, who actually provided me with the written assessment, determined that the leak causing the water near the pool was coming from the backside of the pool equipment, not the irrigation system. Once those repairs were completed the leak was resolved. Mistakes happen but how you handle customers speaks volumes.

I will definitely come back to this company, if and when the need arises. They were on time, professional and extremely thorough in making sure they diagnosed exactly where my leak was coming from. They were even able to repair it, on top of diagnosing the issue.

We had a leak that we had isolated to the spa attached to our pool. Daren was able to find the leak with his dye bottle testing of the plumbing penetrations in the spa, and found it where one of the return lines penetrated the pebbletec wall. He was able to ""temporarily"" repair the leak with some epoxy, explaining that it may only last a few weeks, or could last for years, but that the proper way to repair was to break out the pebbletec to the concrete behind, and repair the leak there, then reapply the pebbletec. He only charged us for the dye testing he did rather than the pressure testing of the plumbing that we had scheduled him to do, which was a substantial savings. He said he would deduct the price of the visit from the repair if we decided to have that done. So far it has held up well, but we know who we will call to fix it right when the ""temporary"" repair eventually fails. It's always nice to find someone who you really feel you can trust to look out for your best interests, and Darren is that guy for sure.

This company is untrustworthy. He worked on behalf of a pool remodel company to do leak detection. He was rude, cursed, smoked, and ignored me. His notes on the bill for the pool remodel company were different than what he said was the leak at the time of service. He didn't find the full leak. We had to call out another leak company. The second company is who found the entire leak and repaired it.

Thank you Leak Busters! I have had an ongoing problem with a leak since my pool was built in 2016. The pool builder tried to repair the leak in the past, but every year it came back. The pool builder (Platinum Pools) did not want to work with me on finding the leak nor did the want to assist in the repairs. Its not about the money, its the fact that they built my pool and the leak has been in the same spot since the day they filled it. LEAK BUSTERS CAME OUT TO SAVE THE DAY! I am looking forward to working with them and the repair company on solving this mystery leak! The attention to detail, fast service and continued communication is what makes a company great!
