They deserves 5 negative stars! Too bad I had to pick plus one.
Rude, threatening, argumentative, the worst customer service!!! After waiting 2 hours, gave a rude response to me asking if they were coming or not. Do not use them. There are so many other reputable and honest people to choose from.....

I learned of Leahy plumbing by way of a social media site. First of all the guy, John I spoke with, is always busy and in a rush, his excuse was the 4th of July holiday created a backlash of calls and so he practically hung the phone up on me trying to get off to answer other calls and in doing so I was not able to clearly state my extended issues.. He makes you nervous just talking to him - he makes you feel like you work for him instead of him trying to help you feel at ease about your plumbing issues. He had offered me a free consultation in a previous call several months ago which I took advantage of.

So I rearranged my day to stay home from work. He gave me a three hour window during the middle of the day. I had also reached out to him a few days in advance to exclaim that another separate issue had surfaced in which my insurance company recommended I seek out a particular service that a plumber could refer out or do for me in order to evaluate the situation.

I had called a few days before the appointment, and he was driving and claimed that he couldn't continue the conversation due to reception issues and asked if he could call me back. Of course, I understood, and of course I stated it would be fine. However, he never called back. But since we still had a standing appointment I figured I would discuss added dilemma in person when he arrived, since I wouldn't have to worry about being rushed off the phone!.

First of all there was never a follow-up call, never a call to let me know their estimated time of arrival not any call just plain silence! Well time passed and no one ever showed up and when I called, I was basically told by John that his guy was out working on another project that was more critical so therefore they wouldn't be able to honor my time slot which had already expired. He said we could reschedule - as though the day that I just wasted was not his problem and that I have all time in the world to waste as most of us do these days..

But he also further explained that since I was a ""free"" consult that basically they had no time for me. So I guess if they decide to give you a free consult you are considered a waste of time in their eyes and they could care less if they screwed up your day. And I also guess they figure someone like me would never even think to write a review about the one sided treatment I received due to the partiality of the situation. It was never stated to me that a ""free consult"" means they can abuse someone's time.

He also stated that since we got off to a bad start (certainly not on my account), and nothing is working out, that I should go back to my condo association and get someone there to look into it. Of course, now he's telling me he doesn't need my business and how i should handle the situation. I will give credit that he apologized a couple times during the call, but as far as I'm concerned it was a backhanded apology. The worst customer service ever!!! zero stars and two thumbs down!!

Plumbing problems are not easily diagnosed sometimes! I have used Leahy Plumbing for many years now especially on my rental property. They ALWAYS go above and beyond. Most recently we encountered unexpected plumbing problems after a new floor was installed. Leahy worked seamlessly with tile company to do an amazing re-tile / plumb job. Leahy is the bomb!

Needed an estimate for a water heater, there was no charge to come out. Showed up when they said, gave me a fair estimate. I decided to go with them and they installed the heater that day. Very professional, it was wet in my backyard and a bit muddy. They were very careful to put booties on their shoes and put plastic down from the basement entry to the work room where the heater was located. I would recommend them.

Disappointed. Had service done over two weeks ago and it took a week for them to call me back with the findings. I've asked for a written report so I can get schedule work for a mainline dig and replace and now it's been two weeks out we still haven't received my report. Service has been disappointing to say the least.

We called Leahy after hours on a Thursday night and left a message. Washington Gas had to shut off the gas to the house after two leaks were found in the basement. They called promptly Friday morning and had a technician at the house by 11 AM. Kevin was very nice and got the job done. He saw that he had a big job ahead of him as he found a couple more leaks! After several hours of work by Kevin in our dimly lit basement...he had us all fixed up and the gas turned back on! I always know that Leahy will get the job done for us

This review is for Leahy Plumbing & Heating in Rockville, MD.
I've used Leahy plumbing a few times now, and I've always been extremely pleased with them.
Everyone I've delt with at Leahy are very polite, and knowledable.
They have fair prices, and will show up when they say they will.
They have great communications, and will call you, and let you know when the technician is on the way.
The technicians are polite and get right to the job, and get it done with a no-nonsense approach.
John Leahy is the owner, and he will answer the phone most times when you call.
When an honest business owner puts in their time to see that jobs get scheduled, and are done right, you have a winning business that customers can trust and depend on. This is how a business should be run, and how a business lasts in todays competitive world.
Mark was the technician that installed a house main water shut-off valve for me today.
Mark is a very nice guy that is fast, efficient, and really knows his stuff.
Leahy Plumbing is THE ONLY plumbing company that I will ever use.
I can't say enough good things about Leahy Plumbing.
I highly recommend Leahy Plumbing for all your plumbing needs.

Horrible! Terrible customer service!!! Cancelled on me after waiting a week to repair an issue they created. Scheduled for the following week (2 wk wait at this point) and blatantly lied that ""they came and no one was home"" despite 4 people being home. Do not use them. So many other reputable and honest people to choose from.

Accommodating and responsive. What a chain company told me would cost $2000-$4900, they resolved with labor and no parts cost do to the warranty. Very satisfied.
