Leahy Plumbing replaced my old water heater and brought everything up to code. I received many estimates from different plumbing companies and Mark from Leahy Plumbing, who gave me the estimate, and did the install, was friendly and professional. Leahy Plumbing wasn't the lowest bid, but they were competitive, and far from the ridiculously high bids that I received from some of the larger plumbing companies you may see on TV or hear about on radio. It's only been a week, but the water heater is working great, and I will definitely keep Leahy at the top of my list for other plumbing needs.
Lynn T.My DYI plumbing job went seriously wrong. Leahy plumbing arrived quickly (less than an hour, I must have called at the right time ) repaired my botched job and completed what I started. I felt like it was a good price
What a rip off. First the good, he showed up and stopped the leak. Price within reason before bloating it.
The negatives:
1) Replaced the tank kit since it was leaking from that gasket (connects tank to rest of toilet.) Should have made it stable but instead, put a pipe behind the toilet to stabilize it. The kit IS how you stabilize it.
2) Bloated the bill by replacing flapper WITHOUT ASKING me at $14 or so dollars. I had recently put in an extended long lasting flapper. He said flapper needed replacing but it didn't. He'd thrown it out so when I insisted, he put in a short lasting one and removed the extra charge. So I'm out my prior effort and cost of installing a long lasting flapper.
My dad was stressed out so I went with them because they could come that afternoon. Otherwise I would have waited for my usual plumber.
They were very responsive to kitchen crisis in every way possible; skill, attitude and friendliness
We've used Leahy for many years for our house and my mother's house. Our daughter uses them now. Mr.Leahy is the owner. He answers the phone. Great service for bathrooms, showers, outdoor faucets, main house water supply.
The few items that required replacement, we were given suggestions to buy on our own. We elected to have Leahy Plumbing provide the items and always reasonably priced. (I do NOT want to go find a replacement toilet).
Their staff is professional, competent and pleasant.
Used Leahy the first time on the recommendation of our hardware store and have have multiple repairs done by multiple Leahy plumbers since. They're a top notch outfit.
I called them for an estimate on repairs for my new home. I sent the inspection report to them, which they didn't bother to look at, so I had to re-explain everything to Blaine, the person they sent out. They decided not to do the job, saying they didn't want to work in a condo. It would have been good for them to tell me this before they came out and wasted my time by having me wait for them.
Ed E.I have had good experiences with Leahy Plumbing in the past, so when my 21-year-old hot water heater started leaking one night, I called Leahy bright and early the next morning. Mr. Leahy said he could have a plumber out there between 8 and 11 that day. Great! He then called back and said that, due to a cancellation, they would be arriving imminently. That was even better. After the plumber arrived, he sized up the job, as well as the cost of installing a new kitchen faucet, and then he got to work. Another fellow arrived with the new hot water heater and Delta faucet and helped remove the old heater. My house was built in 1938, so modern things don't always fit in easily. That new hot water heater fought our plumber every step of the way, but he eventually wrestled it into place and got the water pipes and the new vent tube to line up in their respective places. He did a great job: all the solder joints on the water pipes are clean, and the new handy shut-off valve is good to have for next time. All of this work took five hours. Mr. Leahy's plumbers are always great guys, the kind of people you could trust alone in the house if you had to run some arrands or whatever. This is most reassuring if you do have to go out, or if your wife is alone with them. Anyway, I now have a great new hot water heater, a faucet that isn't corroding away, and some new buddies. Hats off to Leahy Plumbing for their quick and high-quality work.
I had a very clogged drain in my basement that another area plumber could not unclog. I contacted Leahy Plumbing and made an appointment with ease. Blaine arrived on time, assessed the issue, was very professional and quickly resolved my issue. I was happy with the cost which was cheaper than the plumber who could not unclog my drain. I will be a returning customer.
Patty V.Thank you for saving us!!! Called them 6:30 am and had my basement sewer line fixed and working great by 12:30p.m. . Prompt, profession and speedy. Old house with lots of issues. Happy with the price too.
