Explain to me how replacing a water heater via warranty should cost $1500. Never again.

Zach and Zack (yup, there were two of 'em!) were prompt, helpful, and quickly fixed the problem. They answered all my questions and were careful to wear shoe covers. I will use them again.

Eric (the service tech) was very professional is servicing our system and problem. He was very clear with what he was going to do, the diagnostics, the repair, and the additional preventative maintenance. I will call on LBA again.

I had to replace my 22-year old HVAC - and 35-year old H2O heater at the same time - mainly because of the tight space the mechanical equipment is located in. Over the years I've used another local HVAC/plumbing company for the tune-ups and repairs, but I got multiple estimates for this job. I had no experience with LBA, however after much research, I chose them. Their price was competitive, and customer reviews seemed very good. Their team definitely had the expertise, and the installation greatly exceeded my expectations. I would recommend LBA to anyone!

My furnace would begin the startup sequence correctly. I could hear motors whirring, relays clicking, see the hot surface igniter glow, and even read that it was sending the proper 24vac going to the gas valve. However, the furnace would only stay lit for a short time, on the rare occasion that it would actually light.

In Instead of replacing the obviously defective valve (which I didn't want to tackle), the technician sees some water damage on the thick wires of the control board and blames the circuit board. His quote was that the furnace part (which sells for $150-$200 online) has to be special ordered for over $1,000 (labor was extra) and it cannot operate with a universal part. There was even a dead universal part at his feet that had run the furnace for 5 years.

I'm not sure what he would have said when replacing the board didn't fix the problem. I called someone else to replace the valve. Knowing they misdiagnosed the problem, I can't even say that being price gouged would have at least gotten me good service at a terrible price. Would not recommend to anyone.

This buisness will rip you off! It's like buying a car. They must work on commission. They will always find something wrong. They told me I needed a new air conditioner so I called for a second opinion. The new guy told me LBA put to much freon in it.

We used to be satisfied with LBA. Over the past few years, every single service appointment seems to end with the suggestion of a lot more money that needs to be spent.

Several months ago, we had a clogged toilet. I called LBA, desperate for help because we were expecting company at the house that weekend. The ""repairman"" (after spending a long time diddling with all the toilets in the house) reported back that our toilets were horrible, needed to be replaced, and it would cost thousands. We were charged for the service call, but he didn't fix anything. I went to Lowe's later that day, bought an auger for less than $10 . . . long story short, our toilets have been working just fine since.

Last week, we were told that our air conditioner was leaking and needed to be replaced as soon as possible. Again, it would be thousands. Two professional opinions later, and guess what? We may need to replace the unit in the next couple of years, but it's perfectly functional right now. Also, we were told that LBA's quotes for new units were high (shocker).

Unless you love hemorrhaging money, I'd avoid LBA.

LBA has responded quickly to our needs for our home and our business. We appreciate all they do to keep us 'cool' in the summer and 'warm' in the winter!

Called LBA to fix busted air conditioning. They replaced a relay and start capacitor and did a tune up. They crossed the low voltage wire and the high voltage wire on the relay and burned up our thermostat. They replaced for free but not a thing a pro would do. Also ran the wire from the compressor to the relay in a tight pull around a metal corner that frayed and broke the insulation, over heating the wire causing more insulation to melt resulting in the compressor not coming on. Poorly routed wire with poor crimps on the ends. Hack job. Called Derek Buckmaster a gray haired experienced air conditioning guy who recognized the problem immediately and got us fixed up. LBA will no longer touchy my stuffy.

I have to say that I started out very pleased with LBA. My very old (ancient, actually) air conditioner went down when it was 90 degrees and LBA came out on a saturday and fixed it for about $100 buck. We have had a problem in 3 years.

Then I tried them at the business that I manage. It's a building with several air conditioners and there was always a $700 problem with one of them. FInally, the same tech we always get came to me at the end of the summer and said we had a $1200 problem with contactors, motors and a host of other things. I let it go since the weather was cooling down. And said that I had had it with LBA. I switched to another contractor who came back late the next spring, connected everything back together and I haven't had a problem with that unit for two years.

Sometimes I think those techs create work for themselves so they can be busy year round. The employer should watch out for that and LBA wasn't. You can't argue with my simply ignoring a $1200 repair and I haven't had a problem with that unit for two years.....
