Very expensive for subpar work. Within one week of having my P-trap replaced for $3250 which took one man less than six hours. I had sewage backing up in my garage and ground water backing up in my basement. Sewage in the garage covered about a 10 foot diameter circle and receded on its own just leaving sewage residue for me to scrape up. Had to run a wet vac and removed 35 gallons of water from the area around my basement drain. When they replaced the P-trap, the concrete patch looked like it was done by a grade schooler by hand. Not sure who the technician was because they gave me two names. The automatic texting told me that Josiah Walker was at my residence. Then someone named Rob Provost started texting me directly. Came to do a drain clean out and then upsold the project and then scheduled the project and then when I called back today claimed he doesn't do scheduling. Perhaps not but I was also told by Mr. Provost this was all ground water and nothing to do with sewage. Interestingly enough, I have sewage in my garage. I cannot recommend this company. I fear I have to hire another company to fix their subpar work.

I have used LBA for decades and the service is always exemplary! LBA has reasonable prices and I have found that all technicians are highly trained. LBA does an excellent job of getting someone to my house in a timely manner also.

Do not be fooled! Buyer beware! LBA is foolery! They merged with IDEAL Htg and Cooling who had installed two hvac systems in our home in Dec 2022. LBA called in Sept of this year to set up a yearly maintenance and to relay the information of the merger. The maintenance call was a high pressure, in your face for hours until they wore you down to believe your one year and ten month old hvac systems had static pressure issues and the price to remedy the problems, with the one-year and ten month old furnace,is 15k? warranty, hello? Apparently our practically new hvac systems and what needs to be addressed are not within the warranty realm and probably never will be. We did have an air duct cleaning scheduled for the last week of Sept. then later changed it to January 2025 but has now and forever been cancelled . Their customer reviews have confirmed my worries about this company.
A previous client of IDEAl HTG and Cooling said they were told they needed new air ducts, re-routing of air ducts and their system was 4 years old. so I feel we dodged a bullet on having to have all our air ducts removed/ or re-routed. The person who was told she needed major adjustment work was a person to person verbal exchange. BUT There are reviews on-line who speak of in-depth cut into dry wall changes for a large sum of $$.

Since LBA has disbanded the parts and equipment from our 1 yr and 10 Mo old hvac systems in our home, it has felt stuffy and uncomfortable. I have requested ALL paperwork concerning our hvac systems and a full refund. I do not wish to talk with any of LBA representative because I have lost ALL trust in what they have to say, their assessments and their ove--all work. I do however feel more than entitled to all service notes explaining in detail why the services were necessary. I need to see it all in writing so I can process and understand the step by step diagnosis, the step by step plan of operation and all the pros and cons of the work they proposed and completed. All the notes explaining the whys and what-fors on the company tablets they carry around are apparently only for viewing. I have asked for the information stored in their work tablets so I can study it myself. I have asked for copies to be forwarded but not recieved any of what I have asked for.

TLDR: Used to be happy with LBA, but they had an incompetent tech that fried my AC compressor during a checkup and demanded 3500 dollars to fix it. The reason that they said it was not their fault I and the Anthony tech that came out to give me a second opinion think is bogus.

Four years ago, LBA put in a new A/C unit and they did a good job and had competent Techs. Apparently, things have gone downhill. This fall they called me because I hadn't scheduled a check-up and they were running 47 dollar checkups because they had availability. They were out the next day and their tech JJ and his supervisor Dre were obsessed with the static pressure differential across the furnace blower. I am an engineer that deals with industrial scale blowers, pumps, compressors every day. While it is true that if the static pressure is above the blower design that you can have marginal efficiency loses and slight impacts to blower life (mine is 25yrs old and still running fine) your system has been running that way since it was put in, minus any excessively dirty filter/ducts and any extra vents you have closed. Do not replace your ducts or system solely on a static pressure number.
After checking my AC system and washing the condenser, JJ informed me that everything was running fine and looked good for the AC. The AC compressor never ran again after he left. He came back in the morning when I called and was adamant that a burned out compressor was a really bad coincidence right after he checked it and everything was fine. He said when he hooked it back up after cleaning, it ran for a min or two and then shut down while he was out there. . . but that was before he came inside to adjust the thermostat back up, so that obviously was the unit shutting down on a problem not by thermostat.

He then proceeded to trip the AC breaker 6-8 times after we had already determined that the compressor was grounded, and even managed to trip the main house electrical breaker. His supervisor Dre then came out and when standing in my dark basement looking at my panel confirming his tech had somehow managed to trip the main, he stated ""We obviously will get everything fixed"". What he apparently meant after talking with his supervisor Matt was that they would fix everything if I paid them 3500 in labor. Matt's reasoning on why it wasn't their fault was that the condenser was too dirty before they cleaned it. Allegedly, when the compressor turned on after being ""used"" to running hot it locked up when it ran cooler with a cleaned condenser.

I had an Anthony tech out for a second opinion, and they quoted me less than half the cost to do the repairs and agreed that Matt's explanation was ridiculous.

We called LBA out because our air conditioner was blowing warm air. Technician quickly detected the problem and offered and completed a $750 fix. However, our static pressure was concerning so he had to call his supervisor in. 1 hour later, after a drawing and a chart that was supposed to prove his point, I was told we needed a complete overhaul of our duct work to the tune of over $11,000. I politely told him no but he continued to stress that it was catastrophic to our system to turn it on until the ductwork was fixed. By that time it was 90 degrees in my house. More high pressure sales- we have financing, a call to his supervisor on speaker so I would be pressured to say yes because he said it would ruin our air conditioner to turn it back on. But he would fix it only if he talked to my husband because I couldn't make the right decision. I told him we were not interested. Tried to put me on his calendar to come check the tweaks made to the system. Finally got him out of my house only to have him call 2-3 times a day this week so he could explain to my husband what was wrong and get us in the books. This company is a joke. Fletch deserves an Emmy for his acting skills. By the way, our air is working just fine.

I've used LBA for nearly 30 years. I used to swear by them. Now I swear at them. The prices go up and the quality of their service goes down. They changed out both my AC and furnace in the past couple years. Recently on an inspection they claimed some of the readings weren't where they needed to be. They wanted to tear out the walls and replace the ducting. Needless to say I said absolutely not. We have a beautiful home and I don't need them tearing up to tweak their numbers. One of my HVAC friends said they likely put the wrong unit in for my house. Nothing I can do about it now.

My daughter had them do some work on her system today. They blew some kind of sealant in the ducts as well as cut into their wall and added some return air vents. While the work they did for $6000 may have been adequate, they trashed my daughter's house and didn't clean up behind themselves. Dirt and whatever they sprayed was all over everything.

While I've always been on their service plan because I keep trying to give LBA the benefit of the doubt, I'm sickened at how this once good company has deteriorated.

I'm shopping for anew HVAC company and my daughter and her husband will follow suit. Anyone have a good HVAC company to recommend?

You've got a driver that shouldn't be driving! North bound on Rainbow and Southwest Blvd at 6:00PM, then North bound on I-35. Ran a Jeep off into the median then crossed three lanes and sent my car and another onto the shoulder. Submitting video to KS HP. 7/30/24

Similar to may others, LBA offered to come and do a checkup on my system as part of the furnace replacement they did for me over the winter. Prior to the checkup, my system was fine but as soon as they got here I mysteriously developed problems that required a minimum of a $1,000 bandaid fix that might work for another year or might destroy my AC as soon as they installed it. 'Field supervisor' was even more pushy trying to upsell me stuff I don't need. 0/10, do NOT recommend.

I had a terrible experience with LBA. On routine maintenance they discovered a gas leak in my gas line to my fire place. I discovered a few days later that they had completely disabled the gas line to the fire place. There was virtually no connection anymore. They came in with a less than desirable fix. They had removed the ability to turn on the gas with the key key next to the fireplace. They had to order parts to fix it and now I have to stick a long metal rod into the basement to turn on the gas. I have called them numerous times and wrote letters with no response. It will be a year in October.

BE WARNED!!! I should have read the yelp reviews first. There seems to be a pattern with LBA.
LBA offered a checkup noting they had a cancellation in the area and we had not scheduled our checkup this year. This unscheduled visit turned into.......wait for it..............wait.................... me replacing my 12 year old furnace for $$$$. They were respectful and I am sure there were some legitimate issues, but the manner in which this was handled was simply a high pressure scare tactic sales pitch. The 'supervisor' was called in before the tech even started inspecting inside the unit. They noted several issues with 'insert brand here' furnace having design flaws and kept spouting a lot of numbers about static pressure to keep me on my back foot. When it came down to it they noted it was the work of a shoddy home builder, the furnace brand (which nothing runs like...), and that there are no new construction inspections for HVAC in residential construction. They 'red tagged' the furnace and shut the gas off and let us kindly know that we had a few months to figure out if we wanted to pay $12K or $14K before it starts getting cold. Oddly enough they priced a fix to the static pressure issue of $3K that would not address the 'safety issue' of the furnace.
We will be getting a second and third opinion, and NOT using LBA again. I will be surprised if they allow this post to stay up
