This is the worst company. I gave Mr. Bryant money to do work that he never completed nor did he provide receipts for what he claimed he did. He won't returns your calls and continually makes excuses for is actions. This company can not be trusted. Please Beware!!!! If I could rate a zero I would.
LB Mechanical is among the worst of the worst companies to deal with. I was due a sizeable refund for work that was never done to my air conditioning unit. I was lied to several times, promised a cashier's refund check and to date nothing but lies and excuses from this business. I have been dealing with them for months. You DO NOT want to do business with this company or trust them. The company operates in a fraudulent manner and I would never, ever trust the work that they do. This is also the same company in August of 2024, when the temperatures was over a 100 degrees, could not fix my unit for 3 weeks. They are a total thumbs down and I rate them -0, yes a minus ZERO!! I had an unpleasant experience with this company. I gave Larry money for the HVAC parts. He never showed until 3 months after many attempts to contact him and him making excuses for not showing. I thought with the amount of money and inconveniences that this company has caused me, my AC would be included with the heating. Larry told me that he would fix the AC free of charge by connecting some wires. It never happened, and after months of waiting on him again, I decided to call a different company. Take your money elsewhere, not this company.
Sorry for the long review, but it is a must read. I am located in Chester, VA, not CA.
I submitted a service request on November 25th, which LB Mechanical accepted the same day with a scheduled appointment between 7 AM and 11 AM on November 26th. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, they informed me that they were overbooked and now unable to arrive until December 2nd. I explained my urgent need for heating repair due to the cold weather in Virginia and the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. Eventually, they agreed to come on November 26thbetween 7 PM and 8 PM on November 26th.
At 7:30 PM, they sent a man named Dave who was apparently a friend of the company. I paid the $85 fee, but I had a gut feeling they wouldn't resolve the issue and return the following day, which was Thanksgiving Eve. The answer is NO.
I made several phone calls and sent text messages but received no response. When I called from a different number, they answered immediately. They informed me that the necessary part wouldn't be available until December 2nd. (now 7 days without heat). I called multiple times on December 2nd for an update but till received no answer. Again, I called from a different number and spoke with David/Larry. They informed me that the necessary part had to be ordered, ""which was supposed to be ordered on November 27th"", wouldn't be available until December 12th, leaving me without heat for 17 days.
I questioned why I had to wait so long for repairs, given that they accepted my claim on November 26th. To maintain a comfortable home temperature, I was forced to purchase space heaters. When I called on December 12th to inquire about the repair timeline, I was informed that the necessary part had not yet arrived. This company lied over and over. I believe this is what they do to get the $85 fee.
I called another contractor that came out the same day on Dec 12th. I told them what LB Mechanical said was broken and the piece they claimed they order. The new contractor went directly to Lowes and bought the piece. That wasn't even the piece that was needed. LB Mechanical misdiagnosis the issue. In addition, when Dave came out on Nov 26th, he left parts improperly assembled. I gave LB Mechanical $85, and I paid the new contractor $300.
Why did I wait so long? I didn't want to spend another $85, and I was hoping that LB Mechanical would do the right thing, especially since I remained professional. I strongly advise against using LB Mechanical. Their poor service, dishonesty, unresponsiveness, ignoring my text and phone calls is evident in their limited online reviews, one of which is extremely negative.
Shameful LB Mechanical!
Confirmed twice by phone and by text for scheduled appt 11a-3p. Showed up at 8am. Homeowner not there as she had planned with her employer for the scheduled appt time. Communication always rude and condescending. We were obviously too far for him to come as stated in his voice mail about ""Coming all the way out there"" so not sure why he accepted the job from the homeowners insurance company. Tried to up the service call fee that was billed. When asked to resubmit the invoice for the appropriate price, stated the extra fee was for use of a credit card but there is an option for a cash app (that I was never told about till I questioned the fee increase). It was a terrible experience from a professional. I do not recommend this company as they are not professional, trusting or honest.
Melanie H.Scottie was so helpful and was able to fix my problem. I have a warranty coverage through select home warranty and they would not approve the price that he was going to buy the piece for so they got the piece sent to me and he came the day that I received it and fixed my dryer. He was very nice and helpful.
