I recently moved to Gainesville from Houston TX. I needed to have some HVAC repairs that were (surprise) not covered by my home warranty. I sent an appointment request to Lawson Monday evening, and they sent a tech the next morning. The tech arrived on time, and he took the time to explain what he was doing. I highly recommend Lawson!

We were provided with excellent professional and speedy service. After, getting quotes from several vendors, Lawson provided the best price and product. The were able to install a new unit and new duct in one day. They ensured carpet protection and cleaned up prior to departure. Not sure at this point if I could be any more satisfied.

I had used them before for maintenance plan check ups, but then I had a guy come out and I stood there and watched him as he worked with my heat pump for all but 5 minutes. When I came back I could hear something leaking he said that when he was going to replace the copper tubing that went from one part of the heat pump to another that it had arced. I looked at the tubing, could not see anywhere it had """"arced."""" Because it arced he said that what I heard was the freon coming out and that he had to let all of the freon out and replace it. I couldn't see a burn and where the hole was on the tubing did not correspond to the item on which he said it had arced. I didn't say anything to him, but when he went back to his truck to make out the bill, I took the tube he had removed and placed on top of his bag. When he left my home, I went to a nearby plumbing supply store and told them about the story this guy had given me. They said they thought I was right. With that being said I went to Lawson's and by the time I was there I was so upset I was crying, no sobbing. When I explained what had happened to the two ladies working in the office. They brought in the manager, who said """"We'll charge you for the freon and then give you a year's maintenance contract """"for free"""", IF you give me the tubing."""" Foolishly, I did it and of course never used their maintenance contract. This happened 3 plus years ago, but I've only now had the courage to submit this rating and explanation. I have however told my friends and, clearly will never use these people again. Shame, shame.

I have used Lawson for about 30 years for HVAC and plumbing and will never use them again. I feel like I was totally ripped off today when I had 2 plumbers come out and replace 2 toilets that I, again, I purchased and clean out a drain and replace a cartridge on a kitchen sink faucet and replace two drain covers on a sink and a bathtub. The total labor time was 2 hours or less. They charged $888 . I guess I may not know how expensive things have gotten but this bill seemed excessive. So my advice is to go with an individual plumber and not with a company which I will do in the future.

17 years ago it took them over a year for them to figure out how to get a variable speed unit to work. I'm still not sure if it is working correctly. The equipment installed doesnt appear to be what was in my understanding of the bid. One system is ready to be replaced. Out of 7 companies, they had the lest professional bid, useless. No follow-up. Look elsewhere.

I learned the hard way. What a Horrible company! I had a flood in the house both bathrooms. Will never ask them to help me ever again. Two plumbers came out to my house. They rip me. They took advantage of my hard earn money. They said that I needed a new toilet and new hose. They pulled out the old toilet and damage the flange. They charge me for that, a new toilet, hose and consultation. They charge total like $800. That didn't fix the problem. Called them again because I trusted and didn't know plumbing skills. I told them about the second bathroom issue, the same issue as the first bathroom. This other plumber rip me off and charge me $400. They (3 plumbers that came from Lawson) didn't fix the issue because they didn't listen to me. They just wanted my money. FU them!!! The real issue was the septic tank was black up causing the water to back up up both toilets and flooded the house. The septic tank hasn't been empty for over 20 years. Because I didn't knew this part being a first time homeowner. The septic tank people told me and helped me with my issue. My suggestion is DON'T have Lawson help you , go with someone else.

I have used Lawson for 5-6 years now and recently had a issue with a AC unit. I gave the office staff the model and serial number of the AC unit having trouble when I spoke with them to set up a service visit. The service tech arrived with all the tools he needed and the parts as well, which means he came prepared. He quickly found the issue and had it working in no time. Additionally, both the service tech and office staff are easy to work with and professional. I would highly recommended.

We have used Lawson many times for plumbing. Great fast service and reasonable prices. They have done everything from installing a new garbage disposal, installing a new toilet, to plumbing for a new utility sink in the basement and also plumb out for a new bathroom downstairs. I have always been very pleased with our plumber

Do not use this company. They do not meet their commitments and are overpriced for the services they provide. Research and obtain bids from other HVAC and plumbing contractors.

Very reasonable 2x /yr service plan on A/C service and discounts apply on plumber hourly rates and parts too! Called them for leaky incoming water line they were here the next day! Lawson is awesome!
