S G.AWFUL! Don't bother doing business with this company. I ordered fuel last Thursday and requested Friday delivery (which they allowed me to select on there website).
Charged my Visa almost $600. Never delivered the oil. All weekend no delivery. Called Monday Carrie said it would be delivered that day. No delivery. Called Tuesday, said it was coming today. No delivery. Wednesday ,After having Carrie tell me each day it was coming it still hadn't come. My husband called and she told him it would be delivered today. It's yet to be delivered. Thursday AM no oil. My husband finally got thru after it rang and rang to a mailbox is full message. Carrie had the same song and dance. He asked for a refund , she said she would put it in. She didn't. I had to write and email stating that I would be taking legal action if my refund was not given. 2 days later I received an email saying that a refund was being processed. Waiting to see it my monthly statement to make sure it has been refunded. There are so many other companies out there who do honest business choose another as this has turned into one big headache!!!
On a side note: Something at this company has changed majorly as this was not my first time ordering from them. We used them all of 2016... and into 2017 with no problems until now. I can't deal with the the run around. Someone else can have my money!
I did start using Law and Fuel for the past 3/4 years and I never had a problem with it. This week I saw the posts and email about the problem with the delivery and got a little worried about it . I'm hosting Thanksgiving and my oil heat was running low. I did order on Thursday morning (11/16) and the delivery was scheduled to be done on Friday (11/24).i did call Law and Fuel and explained my situation . They were very helpful and said that would put a not to delivery ASAP and that would be getting by Wednesday (11/22) . For my surprise the oil heat was delivered today Tuesday (11/21). Thank you so much for the good service.
DO NOT USE THIS Company for oil! 0 star review. They are the worst Co! They do not respond to your emails nor do they ever return your phone calls. If you order Fuel on line through their website they withdraw the $ from your account and then do not deliver your oil! They continuously send out automatic emails to all their customers to order oil but yet they don't deliver the oil. Last year when I used them I ordered oil on line they listed the price but then when they came to deliver 4 days later they charged me a dollar more per gallon and hit up my bank account for the additional $. They stated their policy was the day you ordered oil was the price they charge you. A total lie! They should not be in business! They SUCK!!!!
This company is nothing but a nightmare to deal with! Ordered oil over 2 weeks ago and was told Friday 11/10 that it would be delivered Monday! (That was after a thousand calls and no answers and no return calls back after being forwarded to answering service during regular business hours!) Monday 11/13 came and went and no oil, multiple calls again. Tuesday came and multiple calls, even threatened to call the BBB since they already took and held payment to fill tank for over 2 weeks! Finally got oil Tuesday afternoon and oh they didn't fill it! Only 88 gallons only put tank at between 1/2 and 3/4 full. Then we called and they said that they are charging the gallon price for under 100 gallons which is the higher price per gallon. Also originally when ordered called because we had received an email promotion for discount off per gallon between certain dates- was told by receptionist that promotion was not going on and was sent out ""by accident."" What a nightmare! Will NEVER use again!!!!! Would not recommend to anyone!
J F.Same experience as most of the other reviewers here. We were customers for several years, rarely a missed delivery. Always got back any overcharge promptly (from the tank being able to take less than a full tank's worth).
This year I made my first order on October 18th, my CC was charged, and... nothing. For two weeks. Tried calling, got the answering machine, left messages. Never a call-back or courtesy email. Got through to someone a week later, was told it would be delivered the next day. Nope. Called the following Monday, was assured (by what sounded like the same soft-spoken woman) it would be delivered that day. Nope. Called back today (Tuesday the 31st), was told by what sounded like the same person yet again (""Carie"", who insisted no one was answering the phones the day before on Monday) that no one at the office ever guaranteed me anything and that they didn't take my money ""you left it automatically on our website when you put in your credit card.""
Oh My God!
She offered me a credit card refund. I agreed, but will be keeping an eagle eye out to make sure it goes through asap. Also will be taking Yelpster Gigi M's advice about further steps. (Thank you Gigi - great post!)

I used them last year in 2016/2017 winter and never had an issue. I ordered on the 12th of October, they were supposed to deliver on the 17th and now it's the 27th and they're closed for the weekend. No one called me back nor emailed me!
STEPS YOU CAN TAKE:
1. CALL YOUR BANK - Let them work for you! I called my bank and told them that I was charged for a utility service and was not delivered going now into the 3rd week. Boom!!!! I received a credit while it goes on dispute.
2. REPORT TO B.B.B. - I have contacted the BBB thru the Massachusetts website and filed a complaint.
3. FILE A CONSUMER COMPLAINT with the state of MA - www.mass.gov/get-consumer-support
It's not like I purchased a pair of shoes, heating oil IS a necessity.
Stay away from these people!
NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! I ordered last Tuesday for a Thursday oil delivery, it didn't come on Thursday, so I called Friday morning they said it would come either Friday or Saturday by the end of the day. No oil by Sunday morning, I called Monday first thing and they said by the end of the day Monday. Tuesday, no oil. I called Tuesday morning to cancel, and the women on the phone didn't even apologize, all she did was argue with me that they don't deliver on Saturday so no one would have said that to me. OK, sure. Well, they did, I don't know what else to say. Also, what about the Thursday and Monday promise? The lower prices are NOT worth working with this company. Go elsewhere.
I would have given it a zero. I ordered oil online 10 days ago and I they have yet to deliver the oil. They continue to make excuses as to why it has not been delivered. I spoke to them multiple times, even emphasizing that most oil companies deliver in a day or two of order and that I have small children and they did not care. Once they deliver it, it will be my last time ordering from them!
Todd G.I would give zero stars if able; I buy oil from these guys because they are cheap. I like to have my boiler serviced and since I buy oil from them, no one else will service the boiler, this is industry standard. I was charged $249 for the boiler service easily 50% more than I ever paid. The tech came and never left a combustion analysis nor cleaned the boiler. I have no idea if he changed the oil filter but presume he changed the nozzle since the container of the nozzle was left in the aquastat housing. There was no receipt, either. When I called the company to complain, they said they are paperless and would send the receipt and detailed description to me vial email, which never happened. I called three times and sent 2 emails all to no avail. The person answering the phone essentially laughed at me for being adamant about some sort of documentation of they being there, of which I do not have since they refuse to acknowledge who came to my house and document what they did. The guy that showed up showed up in a Dempsey Oil van. These guys are as thick as thieves. If you need service for your equipment, I would suggest you look elsewhere.
Tina G.Placed order online may 28, 2017 for Tuesday delivery. They offered ztuesday or Friday. Got an email Wednesday after the so call delivery stating they would deliver Friday June 2. No oil was delivered Tuesday or Friday. I expected that maybe the following Tuesday June 6 they would deliver and again a no show. I called the office Wednesday and was told they lost my order and would deliver today Friday. I called today and was told by manager, Nancy Dempsey during summer they only deliver to !ilford on Tuesdays. thus would only have been my second delivery with this company. The first time they ran out of oil had to cone back the following week to finish the fill. Nancy Dempsey never even apologized for their screw ups. Will never do business with them again. Beware...
