We have used Laplante's twice in the last year, first to replace a boiler and then second to add a new heating zone. Every interaction with Laplante's has been superb and they really take pride in the work that they do. They are experts in their field and I am a customer for life...I've finally found a business that is reliable; professional and properly understand my heating systems.

My experience with Laplante's was unpleasant, unprofessional and unproductive enough that I would never contact them in the future!
And I never had a plumber come to my home!?!?
My reaction is based solely on the lack of follow-through via web, phone and email, all of which was through their 'manager,' so if that's the level of service they also provide in the field, we would ALL do well to avoid them.

I own a small family business and needed a master plumber to inspect some plumbing work. I called around everywhere. No one was interested in coming because it wasn't a big job and didn't involve making big money, so consequently, it wasn't worth their time. I called Laplante's and within minutes Chuck Laplante, one of the owners showed up at my business to help. He was unbelievably professional and helpful and I couldn't have been more impressed. I cannot stress enough how important it is for people to support local family businesses. They are the only ones that truly care about their customers, and see them as people and not just dollar signs. This is the only plumbing service I will use from now on, and I will recommend them to all of my customers. Thanks again Chuck, you are awesome!!

Laplante's customer service is friendly and responds in a timely manner. In early May I scheduled an annual service/cleaning for my boiler. I have to note that there was nothing wrong with my boiler beforehand.I had never worked with Laplante's before but saw that they had great reviews.

The technician showed up on time and was done in about an hour. The charge for his service was reasonable. On the very next day my boiler shut off and started leaking water in the middle of the night. The technician came back and fixed what he believed was wrong. Then a few days later the boiler started leaking oil. Once again the technician came back and fixed what he thought was wrong. The boiler kept leaking oil. Then the boiler shut off again. My family went without hot water for one day before the technician came back and fixed what he thought was wrong. The oil kept leaking, the technician kept replacing parts and I kept paying Laplante's invoices for their services. This went on for the entire month of May.

The routine annual service ended up costing me around $800 and included five separate visits from their heating technician who, in the end, wasn't able to fix the boiler. Eventually Laplante's had to hire an outside company to come in and complete the work. At no time was I contacted by the owner of Laplante's to see how I was doing or if I was satisfied with the work being done. I had to contact them. In fact, when I called and spoke about my misgivings about their technician's ability I was assured that he was fully trained and certified to work on oil burners. Furthermore, they blamed all the issues on the age of the boiler which is around 18 years old. Again, the boiler had no issues beforehand.

I was recently notified by the Vermont Division of Fire Safety that the technician who did the work on my boiler was not CERTIFIED in the state of Vermont to work unsupervised on oil burners. When this issue was ongoing I spoke with the owner of Laplante's about misgivings I was having about his technician and I was assured that the technician was fully certified.

I cannot recommend this company due to the seriousness of having a worker who is not properly certified.

Discovered a frozen underground pipe supplying water to my business. First call to one plumber had them insisting on bringing in an excavator to dig up the whole yard. Second call was to Laplantes. They arrived an hour after the first call even though the temp was way below zero. Once on sight they evaluated the issue, came up with a plan and had water flowing within 20 mins. What originally had the potential to be a huge mess and expense turned out to be a simple service call thanks to these guys.
