We are certified and covered. Our services are affordably priced, and we are set to manage all your plumbing tasks. Trust us to prove that Lanier Plumbing is the best choice.

We understand that a thorough inspection is crucial for a healthy water system, and our methods exceed industry standards. We offer a wide range of services such as Conventional Water Heater Service/Installation, Tankless Water Heater Service/Installation, Leak Detection/Repair, Shower/Bathtub/Toilet/Sink Repair/Installation, Garbage Disposal Installation, Dishwasher Installation, Clogged Drains, Faucet Repairs/Installations, Sewer Line Repair/Replacement, Running/Leaking/Clogged Toilet, Low Water Pressure Issues, Gas Line Repairs/Installation, and additional services!

Our journey began at the turn of the century when Chris Lanier assisted his father with various tasks to support the family. As plumbing needs grew in Austin, Chris decided to open Lanier Plumbing. In the early 30s and 40s, government contracts helped us grow into one of Texas's largest plumbing companies. While we have scaled down since those days, we remain a family-owned business, and our dedication to delivering quality service at fair prices will always endure.

I tied the knot with Gari Lanier 25 years back, and I have been helping her run the plumbing company ever since. We are blessed with a lovely family, which includes our three sons, McCaleb, Cody, and Trey, a daughter-in-law named Lexy, a granddaughter named Pressley, and a menagerie of five dogs, three donkeys, and 28 cows.

Best plumber I've used in Austin! I was told by another plumber that the bad pressure in my sink was because my house needed to be replumbed due to old galvanized pipes. He came and fixed my sink in five minutes and was SUPER friendly!

You know how you get vibes from people? I got a good one from these guys. (Other plumbers can seem like burglars with pretensions.) We hired Lanier for what we hoped would be a small job, replacing a couple feet of sewer line that a tree root had penetrated, that turned into a big job, digging up our driveway and replacing 10 feet of line. They were nice, communicative, and clearly knew what they were doing the whole time. They didn't charge me any money to run a camera down the line for diagnostic purposes, whereas another firm I'd had in for an estimate had told me there would be a $300 charge for that. Free diagnosis is good! Then when they started digging and the scope of the problem became clear, they were super up-front about it. Then they gave me a discount on the final price, because they're nice. Overall a solid experience in a (literally) crappy situation. I would absolutely call these guys again for a big job, although I hope I never need to!

Very honest & reliable team. Dave and Shane were very professional & solved our plumbing problem quickly & for a very reasonable price. They arrived a little after 2:00 (with a phone call before arriving - very appreciated) and we're finished by 2:45.

Truthfully, if we had called them first (before spending $$ on numerous failed DYI trips to Home Depot) we would have saved time & money.
Next time, I'm just calling them first.

For the record, I left messages with a few other plumbers before I called Lanier and I'm still waiting on those call backs. Lanier definitely gets my business from now on.

Phillip and his apprentice (young guy, can't recall name) installed a new shower fixture and kitchen faucet for us that we bought at Home Depot. They we're fast, cleaned up site really well, and charged for the hours exactly. In fact I think they shaved off 15 min or so (Lanier charges in 15 min increments). They also discovered our disposal was cracked, had the replacement on the truck, so they replaced it too in about 20 min. Laniers' cost of the disposal unit was about $25 more than Home Depot, which Phillip told me outright, and I appreciated the straightforward approach and full information. Which made it an easy call to go for the convenience of getting it done then and there.
Great experience and competitive rates - I have found my new plumber!
I attached a couple pics of the shower work.

I was referred to Lanier Plumbing by a longtime friend...and it was a great recommendation! I had a very simple task -- replacing a leaking gasket on a toilet. They arrived within the time window given. I was given a heads-up phone call before they arrived. Surprisingly, three men showed up (a bit overkill, I thought, for a leaking toilet), but I'm guessing it was a few apprentices in-training. All were nice and courteous. Project went a bit sideways (not their fault...more of a manufacturing issue), so it took quite some time for what I had assumed would be an easy task. But, they helped me understand the issues all along, and exercised caution in not risking permanent damage to my stubborn toilet tank. As time went by, I was worried about the bill I was racking up, but at the end, it was just a bit above what I had personally estimated the simple task would have cost. Despite the issues, that weren't their fault at all, they gave an extremely fair price and worked to resolve the issue that I'm sure they too hadn't budgeted the time for. It's a small joint. And, I did have to call twice to get a callback, but, they are very trustworthy and fair. Can't beat that in someone you are welcoming into your home and trusting with your property!

We called on Christmas Eve for a backed up sewer line from our toilet. They came within the hour, fixed everything, and were reasonably priced. They were fantastic!

Phillip came with his helper to replumb a hot water line under our house. He took care of the job in an appropriate amount of time, made excellent recommendations about how to address the issue, and offered to install a faucet that I'd planned on doing myself, letting me know how it would affect the cost of the job. Given that I needed to go get the faucet first, he offered to "stop the clock" on the invoice while he went to take care of another job in the area, allowing me to purchase the faucet. I then called him when I got home, he came right over, installed the faucet and all was good. The bill was reasonable, Phillip was informative, prompt, courteous, and I can't say enough about the whole experience. The folks at the main office who take care of scheduling were just as nice and on top of things too. I'm very picky about plumbers - my dad was a master plumber, and I know what's a good job and what's lousy. I'd highly recommend Lanier, and ask for Phillip.

Prompt courteous service. I've used Lanier both in an emergency situation and also for some regular repair work and have found them to be very professional and reliable.

I have filed a formal complaint with the BBB. Tired of dealing with stall tactics and attempts at peaceful resolution has resulted in nothing but frustration.
