Scott Lane is a fine plumber who goes beyond what is required. He came to my house to put out on the curb discarded equipment for the special pickup. No extra charge!

I used Lane's plumbing yesterday to unclog the kitchen sink. Casey did the work. He knew what he was doing, was fast and efficient, showed up at the exact time we agreed upon and done!
They do charge $165 and hour which I suspect isn't out of the norm.
Highly recommended.

Scott did a fairly simple job for me; we extended an existing bathroom which required re-routing the vents, the toilet, and the tub. The work was easily accessible at the exterior corner of the house and had 6' headroom below the floor. He worked 1 1/2 days and seemed to do an adequate job. I was grateful that he agreed to do the work despite being busy and having a sore knee. So, thanks for that. My beef is what he charged. We didn't agree to an upfront price, either fixed or T&M, and I blame myself for not following up on this. I am a good and fair person to work for: I hire someone and, despite being an architect, then get out of the way as much as possible. This was not a particularly challenging job although it's an old house, but Scott billed $165/hour for two full days of work. Not only was he not at the site for that many hours, the rate was completely ridiculous. This wasn't brain surgery and while I'm perfectly willing to pay people for their work, and pay a fair rate, his invoice left me feeling ripped off. I have used Lanes before and have been grateful that Scott has been willing to come out on fairly short notice. He works with his son-in-law Casey and I was excited about developing a relationship with a business that would be carried on by a younger generation. I own several rental units and like to have a stable of subs that know me and on whom I can call. I'm very disappointed. Maybe I'll try again sometime.

We recommend Scott if you want quality plumbing with honesty and true customer care. My 96 year old mother who has lived in Kenwood since 1945 had a recent plumbing problem- total stoppage to the septic sewer. She called a franchise company from Santa Rosa. They did a good job fixing the problem and get things flowing again---- BUT they quoted $3000 more to ""do the job right"". Thinking we needed a second opinion, I called Scott. Scott came up at NO CHARGE and checked the pipes out with his camera. The franchise company had done the repair OK but the camera showed no further work was required. WOW---savings= $3000.

Scott came by and fixed a major water leak in my kitchen immediately! It was 8:30 PM on a Friday night and he came right over and had it fixed right away. I highly recommend him to all!!

Scott, Casey and Robin are all very courteous, responsive and good communicators. They installed a water heater for us in September, came out quickly, and were priced very competitively. We've since had some inquiries and recently I needed help figuring out the new tank, and they came out that evening to walk me through it. No sweat, even though it was Casey's day off. We are a family of five, are very busy and need someone we can trust when we are in a pinch. We have that now in Lane's Plumbing.

We called Lane's Plumbing because of a problem with our kitchen sink. He not only came within a hour after we called, but expertly fixed our problem for a very reasonably cost. In fact, the cost was far lower than most plumbers in the area. Plus, he is big enough to do any job, but small enough so than you work with the owner himself. This was a GREAT experience. Thank you Scott for doing such a great job!

Scott is wonderful! He came to our house, consulted with us, gave us directions on how to do the repair ourselves, and refused to take payment. He also did some work additional plumbing for us and did it well, was in and out quickly, and left the place cleaner than he found it!
We could not rate him higher for residential work and we have also heard great things about his commercial work as well. Call his wife, Robin, for an appointment. She's courteous, efficient, and very helpful.
