Lancaster Plumbing and subcontractors performed work at our house and a portion of the sidewalk had to be torn up. That portion was then covered over with stone until everything could settle and the sidewalk could be concreted. Over the course of several weeks, the stone settled twice, creating a hazardous condition and leaving us open to liability. The first time it happened, the problem was addressed within hours of our call. The second time was like pulling teeth to get someone to come out. They kept telling us each day that someone would be out. The General Manager even said he would come out himself but never showed on the day he said he would- no explanation given for this. Finally, after a week of back and forth, someone came to remedy the hazard. Since then we have experienced many more problems with the company and misrepresentations of the facts. DO NOT HIRE LANCASTER PLUMBING AND HEATING.

Needed hot water heater flushed. Once Josh arrived all he did was try to sell us a water softener & service plan for everything in our house. Also insisted we had hard water without ever testing. Said our Rinnai Tankless Hot Water Heater had to have a water softener of Rinnai would not honor our warranty. Spent most of his time in his truck writing up prices for everything but what we asked for. We sent him on his way after paying the $79 service fee, which was total ripoff since he did NOTHING. Called Rinnai immediately & told he lied, that water softener had NOTHING to do with warranty & was trying to up sell us.

They came out to my house to fix a clog. Left and the issue I had happened again. They came out again and ""fixed"" it again only to have my sewage overflow my living room. They came out 5 times and tore up my yard because they didn't catch the mistakes before they'd leave. Cost $10,000. Then left me with a yard town to pieces and I had no idea when they'd be back to clean up. They have had very bad communication with me through this entire process.

I advice anyone who uses this company to watch them as they diagnose your problem. They will over charge you for things you don't need and for labor. The boss tells his workers that they have to fix something so the worker look for anything. The worker spent over an hour trying to find the leak. He said he found it and shut off my furnace and the gas running to it quickly. When I asked him to show me, he replied ""I will have to turn it back on"". When he set it back up there was no leak. He went out to the truck and called the boss. They would have had me pay 1k for parts and labor to fix something that wouldn't remedy my problem. Peris came and fixed it within minutes.

I was super happy with LHP until a plumbing emergency emerged. Their fees in my opinion were outrageous and their estimate for possible replacement components obscene!

LHP monthly maintenance contract fee is painless and appreciated but their estimates and actual charges are over the top.

Their greatest asset is their cheerful and pleasant personnel who answer the phone. The techs were courteous and professional BUT we all work hard for our money. It seems the estimators or the software in the hand held gadgets spews out chest grabbing estimates. Consumers be ware. Do your due diligence don't leap blindly!

Friendly people, however very deceptive, shady business practices. I used them a few times for different services, and have asked to be removed from their contact list despite ""free"" visits remaining on my contract for the year. Here are the problems: they misrepresented (i.e., lied about) what their contract covers, they are significantly overpriced relative to local competition, and they always trying to sell you something with every visit. You can do much better in the area.

Total rip off!!!! Expect to pay at least 3xs what you would pay anywhere else. Talked to service tech which said total for emergency services a drain clean out would be somewhere around $500. I said fine and paid the $150 emergency fee only for the tech to then tell me that the job would be close to $800. Just called another plumber that said it would probably cost $250-$300 total for the cleanout and for weekend emergency services. I think all the 5 star reviews are from employees and not actual clients. Or from people that were unknowingly ripped off. Call around for other plumber before you get stuck being ripped off like I was. Total scam!!




Update to the owner: doesn't matter what equipment you use when you tell someone that a job will be around $500, then the next day try to charge close to $800,it's dishonest and I want others to know what kind of company you run. All you did was take $150 out of my pocket and provided no service. Btw I just got the job done my a competitor for $250.

Called to get a quote for installing new toilet and shower kit. In order to get a QUOTE I would have to pay $75 for a site visit!!!! They would not even offer hourly rate over the phone to know if they would be in alignment with others. No thanks! Took my business (for life) elsewhere. Doing quotes should be the cost of doing business.

We had an emergency situation with our kitchen sink on Sunday afternoon of all days. I called and they took my information and Greg came out within a couple of hours and fixed the block in our kitchen pipe area. Not only was he fast and efficient, Greg was friendly, a good listener and thorough with his work! Jenna, who called to schedule the appointment was also super friendly and understanding (I was frustrated with our issue).

All in all I would give LPH a 10/10, and I highly recommend them for your plumbing needs. The fact they came on a Sunday afternoon was truly appreciated-thank you!

Super quick, professional service. I was on a work trip 3000 miles away when the heater went out. Contacted these guys for help and they providing great service, value, and professionalism. I would highly recommend this company!
