We called at 11 am with a carbon monoxide poisoning emergency. They scheduled our appointment between 1:30 and 4:30 today and then cancelled at 4:00. They would not even try to reschedule.. 4 agents gave 4 different excuses.. all ridiculous and conflicting. Nate put me on hold for 20 minutes, dropped the call. Nate and then Ryan SWORE at ME!. The company doesn't even have a web site. Ryan said ' good luck talking to management '..No BBB reviews, .. buyer beware!

I have used Lambert for many years. I had them come for a clogged kitchen sink. I was told the problem was in the line and it had to be snaked. Had to do it twice since one time wasn't enough. When I got the bill he had charged $55 extra (plus tax on that) for him to use the snake. I said I didn't understand that since this is what was required to fix the problem ( and I am still paying for his time . Will not be using him again !All in all , bill was close to $400 for a clogged kitchen drain- a little ridiculous for a clogged sink that had to be snaked 2x!!!
Btw, it's Poughkeepsie, not Manhattan.

Lambert plumbing is THE worst plumbing company I have ever come across. Having been in the construction industry for over 35 years, I know an honest contractor when dealing with one. After diagnosing the problem, getting the part numbers needed myself, I scheduled an install. The technician was absolutely clueless about the boiler! I did most of it myself and the parts were marked up over 300%! When I left several messages for Steve, the owner, He never returned my calls. I have never left a negative review for anyone, but I am going 'to town on this clown'. A big fat zero for this company.

Since they charged us 400 dollars to not do anything because they didn't have a long enough drill we have always referred to then as Lambert Plumbing and Cheating. Can not believe they are still in business.

If I could give Lambert plumbing no stars I would. This is the worse company I have ever dealt with. I am a single woman who knows nothing about hot water tanks. I lost hot water June 1, 2016, I was recommended to them and they came to my condo and replaced the thermocoupler. Two months later I lost hot water again, called them again, they replaced the thermocoupler again. I came home on Tuesday, no hot water, called the emergency line, a person came out, started the pilot for me and said to me ""I don't know why the pilot keeps going out, maybe there's a draft in here"" now mind you, my hot water heater is in a utility closet with no outside ventilation. He charged me $160 and the next day when I came home the pilot was out again. I called service again, he said to me ""I could come out and light it again for you, but it would be another $160"" I said no thanks for what to come home again and have it off again because you don't know why it goes out. The owner calls me the next morning, said he would come out and take a look at it, told him I left the door open, he said he would call me and let me know, never heard from him that day. DO NOT USE LAMBERT PLUMBING, THEY CHARGE YOU A FORTUNE, DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. I am going to go on Facebook and make sure everybody knows about it.

Yesterday, I woke up to the heat in my house not working so I called this company to figure out what on earth the problem could be and fix it for us, the man arrived and started looking at our boiler (only a year in a half old so it shouldn't be a big problem), it took him an hour of looking around the boiler, running tests and talking to us about what it is he is doing, before trying two fixes that in his words ""might work"", he tried moving lumbar which was blocking the outside exhaust, and replacing the air filter, all of this in total cost us $405.47, the heat worked for only 2 hours later and then shut off again, we called them this morning, and they refused to come back unless we agreed to pay them again and didn't want to acknowlage that they didn't fix the problem, and where very rude on the phone.

I called Lambert Plumbing thinking they'd been around awhile and must be an honorable company. Was I wrong!!!They ripped me off for $956.00 just to snake, not even using a camera, could not find my sewer pipe, left my toilet off and just on the floor, lost a water level in my pipes, did not give me even a courtesy call as to how much they were charging, or how long they would be there, used scare tactics to coerce me into a $10,000 job (which I subsequently had done for less than half that fee), would not return my call when I told them I was upset and wanted to speak to the president of the company- every day for two weeks I called and the secretary kept saying ""He's not in yet"", but would not call me back, and had the nerve to write a letter addressed to me, but clearly written obviously to protect themselves, and it was full of outright lies. I have never dealt with a more dishonorable company in my life. I am writing on Yelp for the sole reason to help anyone considering calling them to please save yourself a lot of aggravation, not to mention money, and don't call them. There are PLENTY of honest, knowledgeable, professional plumbers out there. Real people doing a real job, not just trying to take advantage in the worst way. Call one of THEM, not Lambert Plumbing. Trust me, if you call them you will be sorry. Very sorry.

I normally clean my boiler myself which I can do in about an hour. Feeling lazy, I figured I would call Lambert's as I have had them do it a couple of times when I wasn't feeling at my most ambitious. The first words out of the service mans mouth was ""Do you have a contract"" (no) followed by ""It's $90 an hour"". Ok, I figured it would be about $150 from that, pricey but manageable. Well, three hours later I get a bill for $368. The service guy spent some of that time outdoors (making phone calls and who knows what else...the boiler is in the house!). I was charged four times what I pay for them and they get them at a discounted price! Same for the filter. The service guy had a difficult time taking the gun apart (more than he had to) and was mumbling to himself the whole time. I was amazed when he got it back together and it actually worked. Never again...I learned my lesson the hard way.

DO NOT DEPEND ON THIS COMPANY.
I have a contract with this outfit. My heat has gone out. It's Thursday, JANUARY 31, 2013. The service man left here at 8pm having diagnosed my furnace as needing a transformer. It's a very common part. He didn't have it on the truck, so instead of going to the warehouse to get one, he told me I'd have to wait 'til tomorrow. It's FREEZING in here. I would never treat my customers like this. With the wind chill it's 16 degrees out. I hope somebody does this to him in his lifetime...this is the WORST. No conscience whatsoever.
