It was raining when plumber arrived. He looked at job and said it was too wet and muddy for him to work. I thought I was being punked. A leaking water heater in a crawl space is usually muddy. The broken cut off valve on the outside of the house really blew his mind. He would have to dig in wet ground. Mud! He wanted me to wait four more days to have it fixed. I had been with no water for two days already. Zero stars is more accurate.

I don't know how these people stay in business, terrible customer service. I called last week and they came out in a reasonable time. Thats the only thing they did right. I ask for and estimate and was never given one. My final bill was equivalent to him charging over $1000.00 a hour. Never again.

Don't let his advertising on the side of his truck fool you, """"we charge by the job"""". Not so! He definitely ran up his charges by the time and the job was nothing but a simple hydrant fix. He sent a """"helper"""" to do the job and the worker spent more time taking pictures and sending them back to the owner to see if he was doing it right. $375 for this job. He replaced another hydrant for us a month ago and he charged $325. When questioned about the difference in charges he blew it off as it took more time and actually said """"it is what it is"""". I guess it did take more time if the worker was busy sending pictures back and forth. I'll pay it because I'm honorable and I respect the small business owner but I don't like to get taken advantage of and that's what I think Bobby Burns did. I could have used a plumber from Milledgeville, and have in the past for the same type job, for less money but we wanted to support a local business. That won't happen again, we will not be using Lakeside Plumbing. We didn't ask for any type of charge adjustment - just wanted a reasonable and civil explanation. Funny thing, had Bobby Burns been a little more empathic on the phone and not been so arrogant, we might consider recommending him to others. If you have unlimited funds and don't mind getting screwed, the quality of work is acceptable. I think I'll take up plumbing...

Decent prompt service but extremely expensive. $250 or so an hour for a junior plumber. Best to agree on an hour rate and parts markup before a huge surprise on a non itemized bill.
