Set up an appointment for an estimate to be done about a month ago, we made the appointment for today 9/30/2021. We were given a time frame of 12pm-5pm. No one ever showed up! Ridiculous!

I wish I had read the reviews before taking the time (months now) to set up appointments with Randy. Took 3 times for him to show up, then when the time came to start planning filter installs and pump/HVAC upgrades, nadda... Wasted 3 months of my time, look elsewhere.

I saw the negative reviews, but brushed them off, thinking that some people might just have had bad experiences. Turns out, I should have listened to them. For one, they charged $75 to come out and survey a very simple job (which I described to them in detail on the phone.) They charged $75 for that visit which took them five minutes, and then they came back a week later and charged almost $400 to replace one pipe in 45 minutes. They could have done the job in one trip, in less than an hour. The bill was not itemized, which is obviously done to hide their questionable charges and mark-ups. One hour of labor and about $50 in parts shouldn't be close to $500. I used to work as a plumber and am familiar with industry mark-ups and rates, and this was very excessive. First, they sent the bill for the work which was overpriced to begin with, but I bit the bullet and paid them. Then, weeks later, I get a surprise bill for the $75 initial visit. It seems like they go out of their way to be shady and manipulative. Will not be using them again.

We've made 2 appointments with Lake Sunapee Plumbing in this month of December 2019. Although it wasn't an emergency, we needed to have our furnace cleaned for the winter. Not only did no one show up from this company on either day, but they couldn't even give us a courtesy phone call to say that something came up and they couldn't make it. At the VERY LEAST, we should have received a phone call and an apology! So, we are moving on to another company for our plumbing and heating, and needless to say, we will never recommend this company to anyone ever again!

Avoid this place at all costs. They upcharge like crazy and the bill they send isn't itemized. I had to call them up to figure out why my bill was so high. I looked up the part they installed and while they told me it cost 180 bucks its really around 100 bucks on average from the various sources I found. All in all I was charged around 350 bucks for a job that took half an hour. Never again!

Hired this business to switch out a shower unit. Plumber came and was nice enough but didn't bring all the necessary parts. Rendering it useless. THREE weeks later and they still haven't finished the work. 'Randy' apparently has been given my multiple messages. Hard to imagine less professionalism. Definitely don't hire them in a jam. Or at all.

I have only positive results with LSPH. In 2016 they installed a new boiler for me, in 2017 they did the plumbing for a new bathroom and yesterday Joe and Robert did a great job fixing my kitchen sink. They do top notch work and have exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them.

I like to support local merchants and always let go of any problems and try, try again. But there's a limit, and LSPH has hit that limit. For the second time since I've been a customer, I made an appointment and they never showed up. About a week later, I left a message that they never came. I got a call the next morning to arrange for another day. Nope! No more. Also, they came to work on my furnace that they had already worked on a few months prior. They made a mistake and installed a new ""gizmo"". Turned out it didn't fix the problem and they came back again and did fix it, but I still had to pay full price for the gizmo even though it had nothing to do with the problem. I didn't complain and remained a customer. Nope! No more.

I have never had any issues with Lake Sunapee Plumbing and Heating. They provide advanced estimates and time commitments, come when they say they are coming, and do the work as quoted within the estimate. We have used them several times with very good results.

BEWARE. Randy Wiley at Lake Sunapee Heating LLC is as deceptive, dishonest & unscrupulous as they come. He underbids on jobs to win them, overcharges on the invoice, leaves work incomplete, and won't hesitate to take YOU to court to fight for his nonsense inflated invoices.
On our job, he did all of the above. First time I've ever had a contractor not finish the job and sue ME. I should have known, when I met him, we talked briefly but he mentioned suing people and how easy it is... 'Just pay the $95 fee', he told me. Wow, I should have run from this company. Note, the courthouse is 1 mile from his office. It may as well BE his office. When I attended, the judge knew him FROM SIGHT and I was one of THREE lawsuits he had filed for THAT DAY. He fills his days playing the courtroom like Vegas, betting $95 that defendants won't show & he'll be awarded judgements.
Don't trust Randy Wiley or Lake Sunapee Heating LLC. He's happy to lie, leave the job unfinished, overcharge, and then sue you. An additional note - the lawsuit came immediately after I appealed to the BBB for resolution. He's so protective of his fabricated BBB A+ rating, he will sue you to protect it (BBB doesn't get involved when the case goes to court, and since he sues everybody who complains, no complaints make it through to the BBB).
He is incapable of communicating anything to his workers, so if he quotes the job, his workers will have no idea what their task is when they arrive - beware. Beware, beware, beware. There's a lot of heating and cooling companies out there, PLEASE consider choosing someone else. I had to pick a one-star rating because I can't pick Zero star ratings. Or negative stars.
