I wouldn't hire them again. The plumber arrived on time but he didn't have everything he needed. Someone else came back the following week with a camera. The second plumber was friendly and advised his boss would get back to me. No one called me with a plan. I called twice but no one called me back to advise on status or even if they were working on a quote. Its been almost 2 months and nothing. They are expensive and poor customer service.

I would not recommend this unscrupulous, unethical, scam artist of a company to my worst enemy!!! If you want to pay an exorbitant amount of money for them to inflate their parts by over 300% and charge you triple the normal labor rates, then by all means this is your company. Thank God I am in the construction industry and know when a company is trying to take advantage of the ordinary home owner. I'm not one to write or post reviews, but this company had me so upset that I cannot hold back this time, and felt that I have to warn the general public about how they take advantage of a customer who is in a vulnerable position. I'm just glad I did not accept their ridiculous proposal that would have cost thousands when in actuality it end up costing me $200 by going with a Reputable company!!! PLEASE STAY CLEAR OF LAKE COOK PLUMBING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrible service! I asked for their pre-purchase house inspection because my house inspector has detected high moisture above some ceiling area as suspected water leakages.

The plumber is 1 hour late for the appointment. Even worse, he came with no tools and detectors. He was just with his bare hands for an inspection. All he did was turned on the shower and flushed some toilets and tried to observe and hear the leakage. Nothing has been observed, so he concluded everything is good. The whole inspection last for less than 20 mins. That cost $177!! Paying that, I got a conclusion that not even close to a professional level.

All they do is charging you as much as they can for your first time and only time service. They know you will never call for their service any more.

Cheap - they are not; capable, professional, timely, and neat - they are. Chris B did three jobs here today, all well done. Have had others from Lake Cook here previously who also did a good job, and that's why I called them back.

All these 5 star reviews???

Really?

The Lake Cook Plumbing company would not give you an estimate or leave you alone when you call them on a phone. They will push you into the corner and you will agree to pay $50
to have them coming to your home to give you an estimate.

I had a clogged kitchen sink and the estimate was $495. I asked the man how much they charge per hour, and he said, they don't charge per hour, they charge per given job. Well, I couldn't accept this but they were still ahead with my 50 bucks wasted, that they ""earned"" for just coming and having a look.

I found somebody else who did it for a lot, lot less. But the important thing is that it took him less than half hour to unclog the sink. Think about it! Lake Cook Plumbing charges over $1,000 per hour for their work. Who else get that much for a job that requires just right tools but little skill and training?

I cannot believe that this company even has any good reviews. I am so upset at present, it's hard to write this review. 2 years ago, my 92 year old mother called this company to install a new sink faucet. Period. They purchased it, telling her it was $500, it is not and then charged her $700 for the installation. She never told me this because she was embarrassed to have been taken. I was out of town and she did not want to bother me. I only just found this out because we are looking for a plumber to FIX the faucet they installed. Shame on them for doing this to an elderly woman, shame, shame. Do NOT use this company, period. I am going to see if I can contact the BBB regarding this as well.

I had called them to check a leak for me while I was out of town and they suggested removing the toilet, putting down sealant and new ""O"" ring and resetting the toilet. Not only did this not work I was able to find the problem after they left. They originally wanted to charge me $400 for less than an hour of work to reset a toilet and they came down to $350 after I complained about the price. I called them latter to discuss. I work for a general contractor and Lake Cook Plumbing said that is competitive rate. I told them it's not since I know how much things costs. Talked to one of my plumbing subcontractors after the fact and they said they charge $125/hour. So Lake Cook Plumbing took advantage of the situation. Would not trust them.

Hired Lakecook Plumbing to fix a leak in my first floor ceiling due to an issue with my second floor shower. Two guys came out, cut open the ceiling to find the leak source. They replaced the shower drain and two 6"" of PVC pipe.

They spent less than 2.5 hours and no more than $20 in parts and charged us $1,200. After challenging the bill, we were told about a flat fee for ceiling leaks. Our issue was small and straightforward - I shouldn't have to pay $500 per hour??

They called today and asked how the service was and if we would refer a neighbor. Are you kidding me??? We already had a neighbor call looking for a plumber due to a similar issue and made sure our neighbor knows to not use this company.

Unethical. Con artist. Someone needs to get the BBB or NBC Dateline on this and put them out of business. They are taking advantage of people in emergency situations.

They are very responsive, but that's all about it. Supposedly, their service charge is based on a set price, not by hourly charges. For example, if you have three things to be take care of regardless of difficulty, you will get charged for three separate works. Even though all three can be completed in less than 2 hours. On top of that the estimate was 3 times higher than the other plumbers (licensed and bonded). I can't really speak for their workmanship, but highly doubt they are significantly different from other experienced and licensed plumbers.

No wonder why they even charge $49 for an estimate, while others come and provide an estimate for FREE!!!!
