This company is very reliable, professional, honest and ethical. I say ethical because one of their men did not close the electrical panel and rain ruined a breaker as it was full of water. They took responsibility and reimbursed me for the cost of repairs. That's good customer service!

This is the first negative review I've ever written. I'm very upset. I hired Michael to help fix a leak in my mom's front yard. He came over within a couple of hours which was great, found the leak, fixed it and left. I got a bill for $1,900 and water is still pouring out across the yard and into the street. I asked him about it and he told me if I wanted to save money to ask my gardener to fix it. Frustrating. I paid him the $1,900 and told him I'd have to write this review and he said, ""I don't really care about reviews.""

Another 5 star review for Michael Levey. As other reviewers indicate Michael is very responsive and on time. Will text if another job is running a bit over the anticipated time. When he came out to see what repairs were needed, he fixed the hot water faucet in the kitchen that was very low flow- by removing some gunk from an attachment- no charge. Ordered the parts needed to repair the faucet in the shower/tub and got parts to install a garbage disposal. I was astonished when he charged less than the estimate as the job took him less time!! He is the best!

We have used Michael on several occasions and were satisfied with his work. But what prompts this 1-star review is that after re-scheduling an appointment (we understood he was busy on a bigger job so cut him the slack he needed), on the date and time of our confirmed service appointment, he never showed up. Never texted, never called. Pretty unprofessional in my book.

We have used many plumbers over the past 30 plus years, and Michael Levey of LA Sustainable Plumbing is by far the best.

In the past few months, we've needed a toilet repaired and replaced, a faucet repaired, and most recently, during this stay-at-home situation, a tankless hot water heater repaired.

He is extremely responsive, professional, and knowledgeable, and very easy to work with.

Michael is fantastic! He installed our tankless water heater a couple of years ago and discussed the pros and cons of various models. He went out of his way not to upsell us, and I appreciated that. When the water heater stopped working (due to my overlooking the need for annual maintenance), he was there that morning and worked with the manufacturer to get us the needed part ASAP. He was back the next workday to fix it. With two young children, not having hot water for baths is a big deal, and Michael and his team came through again when we needed them.

So glad to have found Michael Levey. Extremely knowledgeable and reliable; prompt and responsive to calls/texts. He went the extra mile in checking various issues in our plumbing and fixed a long-standing problem. I agree with all the excellent reviews - he doesn't try to upsell, explains what he's doing clearly, and wants to get the job done right. We've tried a lot of plumbers and can tell already that he's the best.
