Lloyd was friendly and helpful at 7 a.m. on a Monday morning. He came in and found that I needed a new water heater. He came an hour later and installed it and by 11 AM I was taking a hot shower. He even showed me how to maintain the equipment and was overall very good to do business with. Highly recommended.

My water heater decided that on the way out it wanted to send a message, and it figured that the best way to do it was to flood all over our master bedroom closet. No, that's not where we keep the giant tank, it's just where the water went because the guy who installed it thought it better to save ten bucks and NOT put a drain pan underneath to dispose of errant leaking water.

In a panic (and at 10pm), I called around the highest-rated plumbers on Yelp, and Lloyd was the first to say he could be here the next day. He laid out exactly what he would do, how he would do it, and how much it would cost.

I have often thought that I would like for one of my sons to become a master plumber -- now I know that I'd like for him to be as effective as Lloyd. Great work, reasonable prices, and a very pleasant person to deal with.

Oh, and he put in a drain pan. I expect this water heater to go a bit more quietly into the night when it's all said and done.

RUN, dont walk away from this snake in the grass. this guys quoted a price, pulled the permit and then tried to double his price upon commencement. When i told him no, that i would find someone else to do the job, he threatened to NOT remove himself from our permit until we payed him off. Not to mention, he delayed the job for over a month. RUN!

I have no complaints on the service(although promised service between 9-11am ended up being 5pm) the job was well done. The part that I have a complaint is price. He doesn't give you an invoice, and I learned you can't trust his "estimate". Long story short this ended up costing more than originally verbally quoted, for no good reason...i would have understood if the job had required extra work etc but it was a routine job. Don't trust Lloyd estimates is my advice, get it in writing or better yet find an honest plumber instead.

What can I say other than what a professional! From the moment he arrived thru the job to the moment of departure this was by far the best experience I have ever had with a service call of any kind not just from a plumber. Fast, courteous and knowledgeable with a good since of humor Lloyd is the homeowners dream service rep. I can't recommend this company enough, so please look no further for all your plumbing needs this is one stop shopping at its best!

I had a completely severed sewer pipe and broken water main. I called a few plumbers, one of which stood me up twice and when he finally came out he told me I had a 2 to 3 day job and shouldn't plan on having water until the weekend.... Then I called Lloyd at L&R Plumbing. He came out, spent about 20 minutes assessing the situation, and he shot me straight on pricing and expectations. I hired him and he showed up promptly the next morning to start the project. He found the cause of both issues within the first 2 hours and completed the repairs in under 6 hours. The guy's a pro and honest business man. Highly recommended.

I called L&R Plumbing and spoke to the owner, Lloyd, right away. I had a leak under a sink and he came out the next day and fixed it. He was very responsive and friendly. He made a good impression on me. So, I asked him to change out the disposal under the kitchen sink. We set up a time the following week and he was very prompt and worked quickly. He charged me for both services together after he finished installing the disposal.

I took off one star because his business methods are a little unorganized. The first time I used L&R Plumbing was 5-6 months prior when another plumber could not finish the job and referred L&R. Lloyd sent another plumber to fix a tub overflow issue. When I talked to Lloyd this time around he did not really remember the guy. This made me a little nervous. Also, Lloyd did not give me an invoice right away for the job. He said he would mail it to me.

Overall, Lloyd is a genuinely friendly man. He charges reasonable prices. He is responsive and does the work quickly. I would use him again and I would also recommend him to others.

On Monday I called one of the plumbers with a 5 star review but he was busy that week and referred me to Lloyd. I called Lloyd and set up a first client in the morning appointment at 8am on Tuesday. At 8 Lloyd called to tell me he'd been in a fender bender and was running a little late & was still in North Austin (I live South) but he should be a my place in 30 or 45 minutes. I called him back at nine, no answer so I left a message. I called back at 9:20, still no answer. I called at 9:30, and Lloyd was just getting in the truck to head to South Austin. Sorry, dude. I canceled the appointment. I don't know whether he's a good plumber or not, but I wasn't going to waste a day finding out.
