From residential to commercial projects, we manage build and repair tasks. Serving Covington, Northern Kentucky, and Cincinnati, OH, KW Mechanical covers all HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical services.
The dream of owning a company began in 1987 for Marvin R. Wischer and his wife Karen. Marvin, then Vice President at Century Construction, knew the choice was challenging. Confident in their abilities, Marvin and Karen launched KW Electric.
Operating from home allowed early expansion and recruitment. The adaptable setup enabled them to create a well-trained crew. The results of their efforts established a lasting reputation for excellence.
In 2000, KW Electric added a Heating & Air division led by Mike Wolking. A Plumbing division, led by Rich MacKnight, was added in 2001. These expansions allowed KW to serve both home and business clients. The company rebranded as KW Mechanical, Inc. in 2005, combining Electric, Heating & Air, and Plumbing.

Scott S.We needed a new water heater installed ASAP. I set up a package deal at a local home improvement store that included installation and was referred to the folks over at KW Mechanical. Two gentlemen showed up the same day and although they were both nice and polite the lead guy was clearly looking for reasons they couldn't do the job. I was told my flue was not venting properly and would have to have an HVAC person come over and fix the problem. A local HVAC person stopped by later the same day, checked the flue and venting and said it was fine. He explained the flue needs a heat source to actually reverse the flow of air outward. He demonstrated this and the flue vented just fine. By now, it was too late to have the installers come back out and when I talked to someone at KW Mechanical they were still resisting doing anything until the flue was redesigned to their liking. So I cancelled this install and went to another home improvement store and purchased a combo package that included the water heater and the install. Strangely enough I was referred to this same company but quickly cancelled them in favor of another installer who never called me back. Long story short, I found another installer who came out this morning (Saturday), did the job in a short amount of time, went over everything with me, showed me how to operate the water heater, and gave me a flat price for the job which was significantly cheaper than this company was going to charge (BTW, KW Mechanical was going to nickel and dime me on every little thing). Oh, and he also checked the flue and it worked just fine. So bottom line -- don't waste your time with KW Mechanical.
