Being a residential real estate broker in the Pasadena area, I come across a lot of plumbers during inspections and remodels. I can confidently say that Doug is by far the best, most reliable plumber I whom with I have worked. We have used him for inspections, repairs, installs, emergencies, and he has always come through.

When choosing the vendors we recommend, the most important thing we look for is honesty and integrity. Doug has them both. We have no reservations leaving him alone in a 10 million dollar home knowing that the work will be done professionally and he will leave the job site cleaner than when he arrive. Last week, at my own house, my water heater started to leak, I called Doug and he was able to come on the same day. I told him where the hidden key was, my alarm code and where the water heater was, he called me to tell me the problem and what it would cost. When I arrived home I had a new water heater and Doug was gone. So not only can you trust him, but he also trusts you. It harkens back to the small town days when everyone knew each other and if you forgot your wallet, you could just bring the money in the next time.

He knows his craft well, he has never been to an inspection where he has not been able to diagnose the problem and give you an accurate estimate on the spot. I don't think he takes on huge jobs anymore, like entire re-plumbs, but I may be wrong. But for repairs, he even came out on Thanksgiving one year b/c the drain was clogged, and medium sized jobs he is the only one we use.

i first called Kuttruff plumbing because of the great reviews on yelp, and they did not disapooint. my situation was exactly like many others, needed a plumber ASAP, did not want to deal with answering services where some call center calls back and sets an all day appt.

Doug answered right away and was at my house within the same hour, no upsell, quick and honest work with no angles or Proffesional Reccomendations like previous plumbers have all attempted. glad I found a trustworthy plumber.

I was in desperate need of a plumber this morning when my kitchen pipe broke, and I called several plumbers but none of them could come until the afternoon. I ended up calling Kuttruff, and he told me he could be there within an hour. He came exactly an hour later, and fixed my problem immediately! He even helped me restart my garage door opener, which had stopped working from the water leaking onto it. Great job, super efficient and on time! Couldn't ask for more. Highly recommend for anyone who needs some work done quickly and well!

You know that EASY button in the Staples commercial? This guy is that commercial! My parents were having a problem with their kitchen sink... loose hardware, leaking, low water pressure, and who knows what else. I call Doug and explain that I'm in Newport but would like for him to go to my parents' place in El Monte and see what he can do. I also explain that I can't be there, my dad will let you in, trust me, just get there ASAP. Doug says no problem, what's the address, and I'll be there in less than 2 hours. Well, three hours later my dad calls me back and is raving about Doug's professionalism, his easy going attitude, and how he quickly figured out and fixed the problem(s). My dad is kind of a handyman himself, so for him to rave about someone else's work, although being critical himself... well that's worthy of 5 stars for me. Thanks Doug!
