Dawn F.Doug takes care of all of my plumbing and water conditioning for my personal home and my rental home! He's affordable and punctual.
We were suddenly having a problem with our water pressure on Monday evening. Because we have a well I knew it could be a few different issues. Some of those issues could be quite expensive to fix! I called Kulp Plumbing and Water Conditioning immediately and Doug (Owner) was able to help ease my mind that it sounded like a simple fix and it probably wasn't anything major from the sounds of the symptoms. Doug was able to come out the next morning, diagnose the problem within a few minutes and have the issue fixed in a relatively short period of time. Turns out, we had a bad ""pressure sensor switch"" on our well tank (if I am saying that correctly). Problem solved! Thank you so much Doug for your quick response! I could tell when I spoke with Doug over the phone that he was a very knowledgeable plumber and that his company was the company we would be using from now on!
I called around for prices when I needed a new well pump. Kulp came out and gave me a free estimate. They had the best price and the work was done in a timely manner. Doug was friendly and did a nice and neat job. I also loved that the company accepted credit cards. I will be using Kulp for all my plumbing needs.
Pamela P.BEWARE!!!!!!! I was wayyyy overcharged, work was not completed as stated on his invoice, and he avoided my phone calls for THREE WEEKS, and when I finally reached him, I had called from my phone and then immediately from a different phone, which he picked up, and said ""oh you were on my list of people to call today"".
I hired Doug Kulp in June 2015 to install a kitchen faucet that I had purchased, replace toilet guts in one toilet, and replace water supply line to the same toilet. I was out of town at the time he was able to come do the work, and my 19 year old son was home. He charged me $400 for two hours' work, and demanded payment on the spot from my son, who reluctantly paid with his debit card. His invoice only stated ""Replaced toilet guts and replaced kitchen faucet.""
As soon as Doug left, my son noticed the toilet was STILL LEAKING! As it would turn out, Doug only replaced HALF of the toilet guts (the fill valve) the other part, being the one that had been leaking was untouched. Water ran constantly, as the tank drained as soon as it filled up, which was the reason I called him out in the first place.
When I finally spoke to Doug, three weeks later, after repeated phone calls and messages. Only after calling from a different phone, did he answer .... he told me he didn't have the other part on his truck because it was a ""special"" flapper, so he took a picture of it so he knew what he needed to get. He stated he would have to come out to install that. I stated, ""that is included in what you already charged me, right?"" He said NO. That will be an additional service call. I asked how much he charges per hour, and he stated $75 per hour. Not sure how two hours ended up costing me $400, but that is beside the point. He didn't do what he stated he did ! He left the job unfinished, and my toilet leaking, and then refused for three weeks to return or answer my phone calls! I told him he should finish the job he said he finished, and that I have paid more than enough already. He said thank you and hung up.
BEWARE!
If you need a plumber and have no idea of who to call, i would agree with the other commentators that Kulp Plumbing would be a great choice.
Your call will be returned quickly. Doug is a great person to deal with. If you are a woman or an elderly person you can put your mind at ease having Doug in your home do your plumbing repairs or renovations..
In my case we had a new faucet put into our kitchen sink.
The job was done quickly and correctly and i felt the price was reasonable.
My sister and i were happy with the service we got from Kulp Plumbing and would use them as our first choice if and when any future plumbing needs arise..
David J.I have to agree with the other reviews. Doug did an outstanding job and his price was very reasonable. We will certainly use him again for any plumbing work and I would happily recommend him to anyone that needs work done.
Daniel B.Outstanding. When I have a plumbing problem, or I need an upgrade, Kulp Plumbing makes it happen. I joined Yelp to find local businesses like this one. I didn't find this one on Yelp, but I want to yelp about it.
