Our water heater failed, called Kretz to get the water shutoff, and took them awhile. Then used them to replace with a tankless water heater. They were late, left the jobsite messy, scratched up the new expensive unit. It works well enough (only reason for the 2nd star). The charged for haul away of the old unit but left it, and all their trash. They did not bring everything they needed, so had to come back which was rescheduled 4 times. Then they charged me for the parts they missed, an additional trip charge, supply run fees??, etc... Their mistake is apparently covered by my pocket book. They are good enough for small jobs, easy repairs. Not recommended for bigger projects.

We had a very clogged toilet. Of course got on YouTube and followed some sensible suggestions. With no luck I contacted Kretz plumbing and they had the tools to break up a large blockage a few feet down in the pipe. Very professional and didn't leave any scratches in the toilet. Made sure it cleared the major pipe that runs to the sewage. Some issues are too much for a homeowner. Call these guys for minor or major issues with plumbing.

They were hired over a month ago to install a bathroom in a back house being built. They simply no show and we call and they say sorry the project they are on ran a little late. Be there in a day or two. It's now a month later and they were going to be at the house today for sure between 10 and 12. Well you guessed it, again it's a no show. So I hired a new plumber who I meet tonight at 600.

If people can so easily be dishonest, how can you trust the work they do isn't bad or that they didn't lie about what was wrong and overcharge.

Not following through repeatedly is dishonesty and it's a sign of who someone is not trustworthy- thus my one star review

Not so good at scoping out existing work. Still would recommend day to day.

I had a pretty decent experience with this service. I called and was answered right away. Given that, he was honest with me and said that he wouldn't be able to get to my job within the time frame I was looking for and was very polite and respectful about it. Everyone has to go on vacation at some point. :)

UPDATE:
After being stood up by another plumber Mike came to the rescue. Still nice and his helpers are fun. They did a pretty good job on all the new work. My complaints come when asking them to check out existing work. They told me they ran water down the pipes for an hour to test it. Later after stuff went south, I found the previous owners had disconnected and buried the pipe and there was no way an hour of water (unless ar a trickle) would have fit.

I have used Kretz Plumbing Services on several occasions for personal things at my home and once at my church. Most recently I had my garbage disposal go out after closing time on a Friday evening. I did not want food stuck and leakage to continue over night under the sink and into a holiday weekend. Mike came by quickly at 10pm and diagnosed the problem as a cracked disposal that needed to be replaced. Mike had a new disposal with him on his truck and the parts needed to replace my broken one. He was at my house for a total of 1 hour which included the diagnosis, replacement, and cleanup under the sink. I highly recommend them for your plumbing needs.
