So my homeowner's insurance uses this company to do repairs.
I had my water heater break down and had to get a replacement.
The company charged me for earthquake straps which I had said at the time I already have them on my other water heater. Why did I need new ones?
I was told that I needed new ones fine.
He installed the old ones stating that he did not know whether or not we were actually charged for them, which indeed if he would have looked at the check I left him it showed for the plumbing parts, the cost and for the earthquake straps.
The man said he would go ahead and talk to the office about this. However, he immediately went to my bank and cashed the check that same day. I have called several times and I get:. Oh yeah we sent a check out. Oh let me check if the check went out. We send the checks out the first in the 15th. Yeah I got the run around. Thanks but no thanks. Won't be recommending them anytime in the future

This is our second experience with George at two different homes dealing with old water pressure valves and water heaters. George is professional and most importantly honest. Many other plumbers won't quote you time and materials and instead just make up some astronomical price for something that may only take 10 minutes. Don't hesitate to use Kosta.

George was knowledgeable and did a wonderful job repairing the leak in our kitchen sink. He installed a cleanout, which was NOT covered by our home warranty and offered us a very reasonable price. Be very careful with these people! George worked on a leak that we have. After 2 weeks we started having the same issue. I called and left a couple of VMs but never heard back. Basically he failed to fix the problem, charged us and never got back to us. Very frustrating and unprofessional.

George saved me today in an emergency call. The pilot lights were accidentally turned off on my main water heater so I suddenly had no more hot water. Apparently, that happened when I had some workers over that were capping the propane gas lines in the attic in the changeout from propane to electric heater and ac. George saved the day and replaced the pilot light assembly. His price was extremely fair. I was so relieved he fixed the water heater so quickly I even hugged him. It's very hard to find an honest plumber in San Diego. Thank you so much George, you are the best !! See you soon for my next plumbing projects

The toilet in our master bedroom started leaking from the base, so I put in a home warranty claim. They assigned Kosta Plumbing, and told me to contact them directly.

I called the number provided by the warranty company, and George answer - super friendly, and we arranged to have him come out the next day to get it fixed. I got a call about an hour later from their office, confirming the appointment.

George arrived on time the next day, quickly accessed the problem (wax ring wasn't tall enough - whomever did the initial install didn't realize that!), put a new wax ring in, reseated and caulked the toilet. Total time about 45m.

I found George to be a really friendly guy, and I'd happily do business with Kosta Plumbing again!
