If you enjoy asking for a quote upfront through numerous phone calls and emails only to NOT get one. Being told by Owner the cost to install our boiler in a garage apartment ""won't be that much"" since we have the boiler already... then getting hit with a $7,600 after the fact, mind you... this is for labor and needed parts. WHO would pay that?
Not us, if only we had the QUOTE we requested.
Unprofessional beyond belief. When asked for the Owner to come look at the project and provide an explanation for the cost... nope, wouldn't come.
Imagine that. If all this sounds like the type of business you want to support, Koocanusa Plumbing is for you! Dig deep in those pockets.

Got an estimate to replace a pump for $1400. They put in a pump system that they designed and it didn't work so they spent time installing it and uninstalling it, and then installed a pump system like the one I had before. They didn't say anything and then several month later received a bill for $2450. I had to pay for their mistakes at the tune of $115/hr for their labor. Not to mention whoever answers the phone at the front desk is a complete jerk and speaks to you like you should be a plumbing expert when you call them for help.

This company installed our HVAC unit in January 2021. In 6 months, we have had to call this company back out 6 times (thus far). It still isn't working and they have stopped returning our phone calls. It's under warranty but we can't have anyone else work on it without paying thousands due to the warranty restrictions. Do yourself a favor....go with ANYONE else. These people will rip you off.

Well I will be the first to admit that phone service is crazy bad in our area so I'll give you that but I was NEVER told to wait for a call to schedule anything. I was told someone would be coming to my home in the afternoon and I was asked for my address and directions. I told him we would be home all day and my husband was sick. I left to run to eureka for antibiotics and came straight home. We waited patiently until late afternoon when I called. Never receiving a phone call we still expected a service visit. I did call finally and when we talked I was upset. Rightly so. You finally said all plumbers were gone for the day so we were busy trying to wrap and protect our floors as it was too late to try to fix it ourselves. So when you called back we were in a puddle of water and I didn't get the message till later. I called back first thing in the morning and he had no plumbers to help that day.
That's the story and the truth. What I was told by the gentleman who took my call and scheduled my service was not that you would call...but that you would come out! I told him we would be here whenever they could arrive. IF I had been told to expect a call I'd of waited by the phone and called you back over and over. We were in trouble guys! I was so thankful you could fit me in....and if you tried calling and we didn't pick up...ever think I f trying twice? My phone never recorded a missed call or a voicemail.
It was all very dissapointing.

My husband called for an estimate and emailed the information of what we needed installed. 12 days later no response. I called to follow up and was spoken to rudely and told to call someone else. No explanation as to why....not a ""Sorry, we are swamped you should call another plumber if you want it done this week""...just ...""You should call someone else. "" Wow. Will never do business with them and don't know how they stay in business.
