This team was here to install a tankless hot water heater. This was the 4th attempt.
- The first team tried 3 times (and the foreman was eventually fired by the company due to incompetency.)
- 4th attempt to install a tankless hot water heater 14 months later. This team came out today, backed over my son's Basketball goal. w/ their big truck. Then when working in attic fell through our attic. Very RECKLESS!!! The office never called me or my husband to tell if they had a ""contractor"" on the way to fix the dry wall issues..?
- After 2 & half hours later I called Komfort Air, office asking when the repairs would be fixed? Or just to get an update..They were no managers in the office to help answer questions... The receptionist was rude, she talked over me...(told me a email was sent to an electrician) well, we needed a **drywall repairman???. And it would have been professional for the company to have updated me on what was done on their end.. - So I had to outsource my own *drywall repair man at 2:30 on a Friday afternoon. I was not going to have a hole in my attic in June.. (Myself and my children have asthma) This is a SLACK, unprofessional company!!! DO NOT USE THEM! Whenever I have work done in my home by other companies they park on the street. They do not try to squeeze into our drive. This company damaged our property twice in one afternoon.
- NO ONE FROM Management contacted me after I was told that someone from the management team would contact me and it's now going on 10:20 Friday evening. I stand by my review. The installers did a very nice job and attempted to sweep the floor and clean up their mess. (HOWEVER AGAIN No one from management or from the office bother to reach out to me when I was told someone would after the damage was done to my home into my property...)
- I found a follow up in the follow-through very disappointing from Komfort.
- my family has purchased a $80,000 HVAC system for my, And lastly we found where the team disconnected the pipe from the hot water heater tank and left this vent upside down in our attic!
- It's ALSO BEEN A MONTH LATER, comforter never got the state to inspect our Tankless hot water heater...? And after I brought another plumber in to inspect their work, this TANKLESS the system would not impact inspection, management met with us once, And has HAS NOT call back to check on the repairs. That needed to be made.! (It's been a month.)

I wish I could put a 0 star but 1 is too good for them. Had them come over to check our furnace since no heat was coming in downstairs. They came out and told us our furnace was pretty much dead and would need to pay $9000 for 1 new furnace!!! Seriously ridiculous! Reached out to a very reputable company who came over the next day and told us nothing was wrong other than a sensor that needed to be cleaned and adjusted....paid a grand total of $180. House has been warm and comfortable ever since. What a joke! Please be weary when using this company

It took

This system was for our Viet-Nam era, Air Force veteran Dad who we are taking care of because he is home bound.

They came out and sold a system that was too big for the house.

MAY 23
The sales man pretty much got a sale on the biggest system and told us that the ductwork would be around $ 5K.

But first they want to try and let the system ""blow it out"". And then try to clean the ducts that are coil, which would destroy them, you don't do that. I have HVAC/Filtrationd ductwork cleaning experience. WRONG-NO LOGIC AT ALL.

JUNE 23
Responded to text thanking me ,that they needed to follow up with ductwork re:severe allergies. Explained in detail at the beginning along with the whole system needed to be replaced.

NOVEMBER 23
After dropping the ball and not following up, being called by my wife, they came back out and quoted $8k. Left. Came back from car and quoted 7800, left. Said they would come back to hammer out final pricing the next day(SATURDAY). Never showed or called.

Anyway... it's is Tuesday and Antwon a Veteran is on the way to check out the situation. Again. No one noted the $5k estimate like my wife did. Anyway, I am giving them the chance to do what they should have done right the first time. Let's see what happens and I will make another update!
UPDATE:
Antwon, a USMC vet came out and looked at everything. He is sending me a quote on around $5200 and financing. I know Marines do it right the first time!

Ant called the next day to follow up and see if I looked at the qoute. I asked what about the metal ductwork...""that would be the $7800 qoute""-REALLY?!!!! I asked him to send me a quote for the metal(yes what we anted all along!).

Here it is Friday and no email/quote for the METAL! And Monday now, yep no metal quote...it's just an email...

DEAR CUSTOMER SERVICE- Do you stand by what this guy said,"" we don't do that"" in regards to coming and getting your equipment? And I copy pasted this to an email to your customers service-SERVICE EXPERTS email.

My feeling now are: I would only recommend this company to someone I absolutely dislike to no end.

So recapping, the home-bound vet DAD we are taking care of has been scammed by former caretakers, ""friends"", a long line of tele-com scammers and now you guys.

We were trying to come here and fix his place. Maybe you don't realize that you made this impossible. WE were trying to do this and get the man another dog to help him. He now wants to sell the place. He is in a ""dark place"" because of the LACK OF HUMANITY he has been experiencing!!!!

Can you please come get your equipment (and the FILTERS THAT YOU HAVE, THE FILTERS IN YOUR CONTROL AND TELL US THAT OUR FILTERS DON'T NEED TO BE CHANGED YET...HAVE YOU LOOKED AT THEM I HAVE BUT YOU HOLD THE KEYS TO THE SPECIAL FILTERS!!!!!!)that has not worked because you failed to hear what we wanted and it has been spewing out energy aka power that costs money!? Your tech says that is NOT your policy. Can I see that policy?

It took all of this to find out: As far as 100% metal duct goes, we don't run the supplies in metal, we do the entire main trunk line in metal and the supply runs in flex which makes a really good duct system.

Had a new furnace installed by Komfort Air 3 years ago, unit was not installed elevated from the drip pan, nor was a recommendation was made to upfit the condensation drainage, less than 3 years later, last week, in addition to a diagnostic charge to evaluate the furnace, still under manufacturer warranty, that they installed, they charged a fee just to come to the house. The technician was unable to troubleshoot beyond what I had already performed without having to call others to help, Finally, their quote to replace the under warranty part was twice the price of several others.

Buyer beware. Insist in all details in writing before agreeing to a purchase or service when offered ""Advantage"" payment plan schemes. Read carefully before signing any agreement. These folks are very polite and friendly when soliciting your busness, and will make monthly payment plans seem reasonable, but my advice is to get all the details in writing. I'm 75. When I recently awoke with no hot water in my home and Komfort Air responded, I was offered a purchase/finance agreement on a new tankless water heater. Sadly, when I later read the details on a document that was emailed to me, I learned what I signed was a service/lease agreement from Service Experts, a large company that now owns Komfort Air. The techs from Komfort Air told me this was ""an emergency"" and I mistakenly trusted them. When I signed on the bottom line of a very long and complex legal document - presented to me in my garage at the bottom of a notebook computer screen - I made a big mistake. I later read the entire document and discovered that I was misled and taken Advantage of by this company. As a result I'll pay monthly for the rest of my life, many times what this water heater should have cost me, with no fair and reasonable remedy available to me.

HORRIBLE service. After not having AC for 12 days, they simply did not show up for our appointment on Friday, with no call or explanation. I sent a text message and got no reply. Sunday he replied that he was out of town and would follow up. Monday, after still not hearing from them I called to ask why they hadn't came and they had no idea what happened or why no one came. They say Wednesday is the earliest they can come. Today, Wednesday, I called to confirm the appointment at 2pm because I hadn't heard from anyone. I was assured we were the next stop. Now at 5pm they called and cancelled our appointment because its too late in the day. They'll come ""at some point tomorrow"". How is this acceptable customer service?! Who is running this business?

We recently replaced our hot water heater in our attic. This was a very tedious and difficult job. We had a few hiccups along the way, but everything was resolved. We want to give a shout out to Soloman and James for working so diligently and getting the job done to our satisfaction! They were so professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They had their work cut out for them and went out of their way to satisfy the customer!! Shout out to Joe as well for his expertise! He spotted the issue, and we were on our way! Also, we would like to acknowledge Gary the GM over plumbing. He understood our dilemma concerning a Natural Gas vs Propane Gas hot water heater. The reason for the hiccups along the way of no fault to the above-mentioned members of the workforce. Again, they went above and beyond to satisfy the customer!! Thank you Komfort Air! The reason we're an annual maintenance member.

They told me my coils were rusty and needed to be replaced. Sent an ""estimator"" out to tell me what it would cost. The ""estimator"" proceeded to quote me not the coils, but a whole new system. He didn't quote the total cost, he quoted me a monthly payment--didn't say how long I'd have to make that monthly payment. He finally quoted the coil repair when I pressed him, but it wasn't a formal quote, it was an email, not on letterhead, no detail as to what work would be performed. I had 2 companies come out and do a second opinion, they both stated that my system was performing fine, was in good shape, and that MY COILS ARE ALUMINUM AND CAN NOT RUST!!! Stay away from these guys. They only care about lining their pockets, not their customers.
