Redoing the full bathroom in the family home. Visited here initially to check out the prices. We left with a quote and ended up coming back to purchase the items in addition to a few other items. The individual who helped us was busy so Eli helped us out. I have to say, he was amazing and great to work with. I naturally assumed this place is commission based (that's important to me) and he was so patient and really took his time to help us. A few weeks later we realized we needed a faucet and some additional items - we couldn't help but go back to him directly. He also provides great alternatives to styles - which is always helpful especially when they work great together. I would come back to Kohler just to work with Eli (in addition to the quality that Kohler provides).

My husband and I are in the process of a large renovation of our home in Ridgewood, NJ. We were excited when we stumbled upon the Kohler Store in Paramus, NJ. After visiting the store several times and getting ideas about what we liked, we made two appointments to meet with salesperson Ruth. We ordered materials for three bathrooms and spent a significant amount of money.

Our experience since that point has been nothing short of a disaster. Incorrect items were delivered and had to be returned. My contractor spent one entire day running around to the General Plumbing Supply warehouse in Hawthorne, NJ to obtain the correct items in time for the plumber to complete our hall bathroom on schedule.

Our next delivered had been coded wrong by our salesperson, and we received a toilet and tank of one color and our toilet seat was another color. Once again, the incorrect items needed to be sent back and another delivery scheduled, and plumbing work was delayed.

We ordered a beautiful Kohler Carrera Marble sink top along with clay legs. However, we were sold the incorrect plumbing materials to go under the sink. When the plumber began our install, we could quickly recognize it was not the same look as what we saw in the showroom. Again, my husband had to spend more time driving back and forth to the store to obtain the correct materials, and once again our projects were delayed.

To add insult to injury, all of these problems, which caused MAJOR delays in our work, were addressed with nothing more than a snide shrug by our salesperson, as if, oh well, it happens...no ownership of the situation, phone calls unreturned, its her day off, not available she's out to lunch, yada yada yada. Zero empathy for the situation or the fact that we are living in a home with demoed bathrooms, and these careless and totally avoidable mistakes are delaying our projects.

I am a fair person, and can understand one mistake being made. But three strikes and you are out. The entire process with this store has been a disaster from start to finish.

Final word: Renovating your home is stressful enough. Be sure to work with salespeople, suppliers and designers who are competent, thorough, pay attention to detail, respond when you call and know their products. You are spending a lot of money. This place is DEFINITELY not it. Our advice: go to Ferguson.

On Monday, I visited the Kohler Signature store in Paramus seeking an opportunity to match floor and wall bathroom tiles to the Kohler Choreograph VeinCut Biscuit surround for which I just paid $3000 a week prior and await delivery but instead was treated very rudely by an employee. Unfortunately, I have had to lug around my heavy floor and wall tiles to two Home Depots that sell the Collection plus two Signature stores but Kohler does not always have a showcase of this collection and most importantly refuses to give free samples of the tile. I actually purchased the surround sight unseen based on their website picture due to the Kohler commitment to excellence and quality of the product. However, in order to match bathroom and wall tiles I walked into the store where the employee informed they have no showcase and in reply to my question if I could see a sample she didn't know, I pressed her and finally, she found it. I then asked her if I could have the sample to she replied I needed to call Kohler. The only correct reply from the employee should have been: "" Let me call Kohler now while you are here and find out if they will ship one"" instead of telling me to call. Nevertheless, I was persistent and the employee unhappily called Kholer and handed me the telephone. Kohler Customer Service informed they would charge me $10 for the sample. In one day, there were two incidents of bad Kohler Customer Service! It is outrageous to treat customers in that manner. Did I mention that I had just spent $3000 on Kohler products? I am an attorney and real estate investor and Kohler just lost a customer.

Shopping here was easy and there was no stress. Everything came in on time and as requested. I wish I could say that about the tile store I used. I have been in sales my entire career so my expectations were high, and Kohler Signature Store did not disappoint. A truly pleasant experience in the bathroom remodeling world!
