These guys were great -- called me back within an hour of leaving a message and had the problem fixed within fifteen minutes of arrival at a reasonable cost. We've got two chronically ill folks at home, so we really appreciated that he wore a mask while inside our home.

We called the morning after Christmas because our hot water tank bit the dust. We had a quote and a few guys working to replace the tank in a very reasonable amount of time, and had hot water again in the afternoon.
We've used their services in the past as well and have never been disappointed. They're the first place we call for any issues that they work on.

We had a 24 year old furnace and even older air conditioning system. Over the past several years we've had prompt, professional, service calls and maintenance performed by several different technicians; each one providing outstanding, knowledgeable, courteous service. They helped us to keep the units working as long as possible with excellent advice and no pressure to replace a well working but ancient system.

Needless to say when the furnace finally quit working we made one call. As always, courteous, prompt, excellent service from the initial call through installation. Even over a Holiday weekend they worked steadily on a rather involved replacement and we had heat back in no time.

Personal, friendly, expert, reasonably priced service. Don't waste your time calling anyone else.

It is true that the workers were prompt and professional, but that does not outweigh my experience...it culminated with my house catching on fire. It began when I was quoted a price for a replacement heat pump when mine died. The following day I found a coupon from the home show. Miraculously my cost didn't change...ok, I could have lived with that. I signed the paperwork anyway and they promptly installed the heat pump. A couple months later the breaker tripped and I had to call them back. I made the appointment and my wife worked from home to meet the tech. He never showed. My wife called and Mrs. Kohl (the receptionist) recounted the conversation she had with me. It was literally completely fabricated. Back to the story. The tech reset the breaker and told me if it tripped again to call them. About a month later it tripped late on a Friday. I reset it and decided to call them Monday (big mistake). It tripped again Sunday. When I reset it the sub-panel on my new heat pump caught on fire. We put it out and called Kohl. The owner showed up and identified the problem (he did a good job). The the cause of the fire was that his guys didn't tighten the lugs in the sub-panel causing arching and a fire in the box (ya, it wasn't my whole house, just the electric box). I got a quote from an electrician for the repairs and Kevin Kohl agreed to pay half (looking back, I'm not sure why i agreed to pay anything). I called to tell Kevin the work was done. A week later, I called to ask about the check. He said he was just sending it. The check arrived and he had shorted me $50. I called and told him he shorted me. I haven't heard back from him. I wouldn't fear using them again if i needed to, but I wouldn't use them if I could avoid it. I truly believe the worst part of the company is the ownership, not the staff. The fire was bad luck due to inexperience or carelessness.

Heater/Humidifier was acting up. They showed up within 30 minutes of us calling. They were incredibly friendly on the phone. They sent Tyler, who was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. They are not only the most reasonably priced company around, but you can tell they aren't trying to rip you off. I will go back to this company anytime I need help with our furnace.

This is one of the best companies I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Their integrity, promptness, and absolute concern for my well-being is outstanding in today's society from owner Kevin, to all employees, Tyler, Mike, Todd, Chevy, and Pap who worked on install. Everyone always called me about 1/2 hour before hand to let me know when they would arrive and were always on time! Many space heaters were provided me so I would be reasonably comfortable until installation, brought me coffee, explained everything in detail, and showed me the actual problems with my old furnace. I ultimately purchased a high quality furnace and AC at an extremely competitive price. There was no pressure at any point to use their services, just good quality human beings helping someone! As a woman purchasing the furnace and AC, I never felt being taken advantage of in the sense of ""she doesn't know things, jack up the price"" that some places practice, but to the contrary of ""make sure we do it right at the best price we can and still be in business"". I would give a higher rating if I could and want to say I never knew or met the Kohl's prior to this experience. A #1 first class operation!

Professional installation of a Mitsubishi heat pump. Showed up promptly and did a great job. Cleaned up afterwards. Great guys to deal with. Highly recommend them. Prices were reasonable too.

I had a problem with my AC and furnace -- namely, they stopped working at the same time. I called Kohl's and requested a service call.

They were able to come within 48 hours. They also called 30 minutes before arrival so I could go to work instead of waiting around during a 3 hour window or the like.

The technician was prompt, articulate, and competent. He traced and diagnosed the problem (a blown transformer) and made the repair with my approval.

The price was exceptionally reasonable ($199 for service call, parts, and labor).

Conclusion: this company has earned my repeat business.

I had them come out for ac service. $80 for the call, he didn't diagnose the problem. Wanted to sell me a new ac and heating system. $6000. Told me the unit was done. The tech. also left the unit unconnected inside so that it would never start. I wouldn't take service from them for free.
I called someone else, it was a short in the oil heater. This heater is only used if you intend to use the unit as a heat pump. Disconnected it and it ran fine.
Eventually fixed for $130.
