At KNOW-HOWE Home Services, we guarantee a professional experience every time you reach out. We’re not here for a quick fix like some contractors. After 30 years in the plumbing industry, I’ve realized that information spreads rapidly, good or bad. We aspire to be your go-to plumbing service and hope to serve your friends, family, and neighbors as well.

KNOW-HOWE is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergency plumbing services. We specialize in installing and servicing water heaters, sump pumps, battery backups, sewage ejectors, garbage disposals, toilets, sinks, tubs, faucets, outdoor hose bibs, and sewer rodding.

We also have a remodeling division that manages complete renovations if you wish to upgrade your kitchen or bathroom. We focus on ""aging in place"" strategies in our designs for customers who want to live safely and comfortably in their homes as they grow older.

KNOW-HOWE Home Services, Inc. is big enough to tackle multiple projects at once but small enough to ensure you receive direct service from our owner and customer service manager, Timothy Howe.

We focus on this balance because it’s where other companies often fail. We’ve chosen to eliminate travel costs and ensure quick response times by serving a specific area of about 25 miles.

Large firms may have the manpower for quick responses, but their staff often lacks the necessary experience and may be learning on your dime. Often, these employees lack a vested interest in providing excellent service consistently.

Small operations, while offering a great mix of experience and personal investment, often lack the capacity for same-day service. Their comfort with their business size can mean you might have to wait longer for assistance.

After graduating from Gordon Technical High School in Chicago, I realized my passion was in the trades. I started as a laborer for a plumbing contractor right after high school, then went to apprentice school and earned my plumbing license in 1987. I progressed through the ranks to become foreman, superintendent, estimator, and eventually Vice President.

Having worked for 25 years in commercial plumbing, I was eager for a shift and to provide quality residential plumbing services.

In 2012, I established KNOW-HOWE and have largely relied on referrals and word-of-mouth for growth. If you deliver quality work at a fair price, that’s all I expect from a service contractor, and I’ve learned that’s what everyone desires.
