Dustin Garrett is the Master Plumber and maybe the owner. We had already identified and exposed a cracked PVC pipe draining from tub. They were at the house less than one hour, replaced a $10 piece of PVC and charged $850 without specifying amount for labor v. materials! It was not an emergency, and plumbers don't charge $800 an hour. The guy that referred them to me threatened to put a lien on the house to get the plumber paid. Sorry, plumbers can't price gouge or make-up random charges and get away with it.
Warning - Use Knockout at your own peril and be prepared for gestapo tactics when you get their fabricated invoice.

I contacted them and asked for a time when they could promise to have a plumber at a customer's 2nd home so they could come down and be there. We had to wait two weeks. No problem. It was a job of installing a tub to the drain and water lines to the tub. Well they didn't show up or call for 2 days. After numerous messages, they did call and had a guy show up on Friday. He looked at it, got his parts list, and left saying he would return Monday 8/1. The tub was set in the bath area, no unpacking to do. At 9 am Monday he did show up, installed tub and water supply lines to the tub. He left just before 2pm.
Today we got a bill for his 5 hours. $4950.00 for hooking up a tub. I called only to get an argumentative Megan. She told me 'they had to pull a permit'. I explained I had the plumbing permit pulled and paid for 3 weeks earlier. She then said the parts cost a $1000. Well the bill shows parts on it and the cost of $350. The same parts can be bought for $123.
She then said it was on the 11th floor and they have to pay insurance to cover them incase of any leaks. Well I also carry liability insurance, a million 2 policy, and it doesn't me but $3200 a year.
Long story made short, they basically charged $825 per hour for putting in a tub. Ridiculous pricing and they deserve to be called out on their unethical practices.

(Lower Rating Not Available) It is not my habit to write critique on service providers--this may be my first. When I run into problems, I try to work it out or take my losses and chalk it up to 'business lessons learned.' I will make an exception given my recent experience with Knock-Out Plumbing in Port Aransas Texas. Short Story: My rental property in Port A suffered burst pipe(s) in February following the thaw from "Snowmageoden". My property management company called Knock-Out Plumbing to find the leaks and repair. I cannot speak to the quality of workmanship--I frankly do not know, but there are no more leaks. Thank Goodness. But I can speak to the incompetence and unprofessionalism in the way they run their business. First, the cost was extremely high; I can live with that. Second, their invoice listed materials, but I asked multiple times for a breakout of costs (materials, labor) as my insurer will need that; "... we don't do that." Third, the office staff - Megan - is about as rude and incompetent as anyone I have come across in years; and she does not listen (how hard is it to take down a credit card number?). There are certain people that should never be customer-facing; Megan is the poster child. Fourth--and this is what brings my pen to paper--they charged me $210 more than I agreed to pay (my bill as $5,180 and they charged me $5,390). The comes another ride response, "...oh we told you there would be a 4% fee for using Square ..." Not true; I did not, nor would I ever, agree to a 4% fee ... merely on principle. I have dealt with literally hundreds of service providers during my 45 years in business. I have had all measure of experiences from great to poor. This is among the very worst. AVOID KNOCK-OUT PLUMBING AT ALL COSTS.

We had some work done by these guys @ 6 months ago. The work was done right with quick response time in an emergency situation. Today they came out for a leak which happened to be at a valve they installed on prior visit. I'm sure the freezing weather caused the leak and was not expecting warranty. They said it might have been a defective valve and replaced it at no charge.

The plumbing techs they sent were very friendly and personable even though they have to be exhausted after all the plumbing issues they've had to work.

If you need a plumber in this area, these are the folks to call.
