We bought our first home 10 years ago. Within the first year the indoor and outdoor heating and cooling units died so the home warranty replaced everything. Unfortunately they installed units that were too weak to handle the size of our home so 6 years later the cooling stopped working. Every heating and cooling company told us we would have to replace everything because the outdoor unit (responsible for cooling) was outdated in terms of the type of coolant that it uses which was being weaned out of the industry. So for 2 years our family with very young children survived the summers with an AC window unit in one room while we saved up to replace everything. Finally last year we were able to have Knochelmann install a brand new indoor air handler and an outdoor heat pump. We were told that most people only replace a heating and cooling unit once in a lifetime and that it was very rare for us to be going through this process twice in such a short amount of time so they would make sure this would be done right. Well this year they performed the 1 year check up and found that the temperature split was low and that the heat pump was running low pressure. They found no leaks so they left it at that. No real solution or fix. Now 4 months later a bird was able to get into the outdoor heat pump and was shredded to pieces and something (maybe the body) is still being knocked around every time the fan kicks on. They want to charge $89 for a visit (down from $99 because we're Plus members) which I understand but they said if the bird caused damage to the unit the warranty won't cover it. In a year and a half our unit is showing signs of problems and it obviously has design flaws if animals can get into it and so far the company that we paid a small fortune to Knochelmann/Service Experts is not taking responsibility for the products they sell. I think we bought a lemon and they have succeeded in making my family their money tree.

Made an appointment for replacing ac. Verified by email. Waited 3 hours for salesman to arrive. No one showed up. Called the company & was told appointment had been ""cancelled"".

When I called, I was told that I was second in line for a technician to service my A/C. I called three hours later and was told it would be any time. After 8 hours they informed me that it probably wouldn't even be today. Why even have appointments? Not a good way to treat a new customer.

I scheduled service with these folks. I was called letting me know that they would be showing up soon and sure enough they did. The tech went to start working on the problems when he received a call from his boss who pulled him from the job. The tech left and when I called his boss, he explained that they didn't have time for me. I was left completely miffed. Strangest interaction with contractors I have ever had. Needless to say I do not think these guys deserve your money. Don't use them.

I took a day off work to wait at my mother's house for these guys to come give her a quote on replacing her AC unit, after speaking with a rep at Costco. They showed, early even. This gave me a false sense of hope. They refused to give me a paper quote, spouting some BS line about not being able to explain it on paper, compared to phone. I let this slide at first, because I assumed they would follow up and contact us. Ive now spent a week on her behalf trying to track down the rep/company, even contacting Costco - and it has been a total fruitless waste of my time. Super pissed off - particularly at the otherwise reputable Costco

I reached out to what I thought would be a professional. This plumber shows up and upon opening the door he hits on my 28 yr old daughter first words! Seriously? Then proceeds to the bathroom where he looks into the sink and asks if someone had caviar? what?
Then goes to the upstairs bathroom to look at my leaking shower head, which only needed washers. He proceeds to say it was loose, twists the head and it snaps breaks and now water does not come out.
I was in the other room on a conference call, my daughter walks in to signal he was making her uncomfortable when he exited to his van for parts. I get off the phone she tells me what he has been saying and what happened, I asked him to leave which he kept knocking on my door trying to explain and say sorry... I called the main office to complain and asked for the management to ask him to stop knocking on my door. .
He was in my house for 10 minutes, fixed nothing...creep factor NOT OK! Its scary enough for a woman to let a stranger in her home no less have her daughter hit on.
Sorry you lost my business for good, please teach your staff professionalism they represent your company not Match.com

I had a leaking 1/2 inch ball valve replaced at 9 am on Tuesday 2-24 (normal business hours non holiday). My home is in Ft. Mitchell - within 4 miles from Knochelmann. This is a 20 minute replacement of a part that cost them 2.80. Unfortunately I was not home and my wife paid $484 to the service man. That was $84 for the service call and $400 for a 20 minute replacement of a 2.80 part. I spoke to Tim Ferns in their Covington office this morning. Unfortunately He literally argued that this was appropriate. He agreed to adjust the charge to $259. What is most troubling is that he would try to argue with a customer in defense of what is obviously taking advantage of a 68 year old woman who wrote a check for $484 for a 20 minute job and a $2.80 part who hasn't a clue about plumbing.

Knochelmann Service Experts always delivers quality work. Their technicians are on time, respectful, knowledgeable, and generally very happy trustworthy people. They provide great tips to keep your systems working more efficiently and longer. The pricing for the maintenance package is competitive and worth every penny.

The previous home owners had a top of the line Lennox system ( over $10,000) installed by Knochelman on 11/15/11. We were having problems with the heat pump freezing so I called them. Upon arriving the tech was very unprofessional and rude. When I asked if it was still under warranty he asked to see my warranty paper...we had never been given this by the previous owner. I asked if he could look it up on the computer and he stated they had 4,000 customers and they can't keep track of all of them( one computer could handle this) he said if I was lucky maybe parts would be under warranty but he doubted it because I lost the paperwork. He also said labor would not be included and to come out it was $84. I explained I would wait until the morning to check with the office to see if labor and parts were under warranty. At this point he demanded I pay him. I explained I thought it should all still be in warranty because the unit was only 3 years old, he yelled that they would not be out again until I payed the $84....it gets worse. The next day I called the office and the lady was very apologetic and would look into the problem I had. When she called back she told me before they could proceed I would have to pay $144 ( a $71 charge was added to the bill for the diagnostic fee) frustrated and confused I called 333-help and asked how much it would cost to come out and diagnose the problem. The operator said it was a flat $69...the diagnostic service was part of the cost. They also said all parts would be covered by the manufacturer because of the age...no paperwork needed! Save some money and DONT call knochleman! They are unprofessional and charge hidden fees. 333-help had all pricing communicated BEFORE they did anything!

My AC went out earlier this summer and I had 4 different companies come out to give me quotes on a new central air unit. I called Costco to see what I could get from them and shortly afterwards John Snowden from Knochelman( A Service Experts company) called me and made an appointment to come check it out. Not only was he on time, he was VERY thorough and professional! He measured every single room and all of the windows and calculated the correct ""residential load calculation"" and determined that my previous unit was oversized by 1/2 ton and fully explained to me how he came up with this calculation and what it means and why it matters. I did some follow up research and discovered that everything he said was correct. As I said earlier, I had 4 other quotes, 3 of which were lower, so I called John up and asked if he would be willing to meet the lowest quote and after a consultation with his manager they did. The installers were on time, conscientious and worked their butts off on what was one of the hottest days of the year, they cleaned up everything and by the afternoon the house was cooling down! And I still get my $400 Costco cash card, and they threw in a 5 year maintence agreement for free! I would call them back in a heartbeat and I highly recommend them!
