Avoid this company at all costs! In all honesty, this was the least satisfactory service I've received for any home-related work. Protect yourself and go with virtually any other option! Take heed! This service is terrible!

After the significant earthquake left us without water, Pat, who owns Knik Heating, came to our residence at 7 PM on Saturday evening to assess what could be done to restore our water supply.

After assessing the situation, he determined that a replacement water heater was essential. He arranged for a technician to come out that night to provide a quick fix, ensuring we had cold water available.

Within 72 hours of being without water, by Monday, we had a new water heater installed. This was outstanding. I appreciate Knik Heating. Thank you. I truly appreciate it.

So my husband is currently searching for an overflow pump for our furnace. Knik Heating had performed our maintenance for the first time ever. As it turns out they unplugged the unit but did not plug it back in, leading to a flooded motor.

This is among several red flags that made me question their reliability. I hesitantly provided my credit card information on the phone, and when the service technician arrived, he said they did not have our card on file and required payment.

We had "scheduled" the service for three specific units over the phone. This included the furnace, garage heater, and HVAC system. After confirming this with the technician upon arrival, I noted how my husband is diligent about changing filters. The technician informed me they would finish their work and then sit down with me. But they opted to service the on-demand hot water heater instead of servicing the garage heater. They asked for more money for the garage heater, and they failed to properly service the on-demand system. When I asked that I thought servicing meant flushing the system, he replied that it wasn't needed due to our water softener. Those were his exact words, since I was doubtful about their desire to add this "service" without my approval, so I looked up how to maintain an on-demand hot water system.

We had a technician out about a week ago to clean our dryer vent who provided us with photos of the HVAC system and noted it was not too bad, but suggested we check it again next year. Knik Plumbing & Heating took a photo and urged that we should clean the air flow vents. They were unaware that we had already inspected the vents and had thought about cleaning them.

I felt very let down, having worked in customer service my entire life. I felt uneasy during the service, and now this extra cost to replace the overflow pump due to it being unplugged is outrageous!

I recommend avoiding their services. Management is dishonest. They wanted to collect my account a staggering fee of $555.34 for the service of a simple part. This took place just a week before Christmas.

Without hesitation disputed the charge. The complete charge amounted to $672.34. Knik Heating quickly forwarded my case to collections. However, Knik Heating will not collect a single dime from my account. The owner needs to be held accountable.

I not long ago had our ductwork cleaned and disinfected. Their focus to the smallest detail was a welcome surprise. I plan to be contacting them soon to schedule an inspection of the garage heating unit.

The assertions from the unhappy former employee are incorrect. Knik Heating is licensed to perform plumbing services, in addition to heating and air conditioning. They enjoy a high volume of 5-star ratings on Google for the local community.

I encountered a failure with my water heater because of calcium buildup caused by high mineral content in the water. I reached out to the team at Knik Heating, and I received an estimate for a tankless unit and installed it the next day.

The employees at this company are friendly and skilled, ranging from the installation team to the support staff. I am happy with my new installation!

I appreciate everyone at Knik Heating!!!

In my opinion, Knik Heating is a scam. I wish I could give them 0 stars.

Following the earthquake, our furnace went out. Since then, we have relied on a wood-burning stove to heat our 3600 sf home. Eventually, we had to fix our heater as the temperatures dropped.

We called Knik Heating, and they informed us of their after-hours pricing: a $280 diagnostic fee or $117 during normal hours. We indicated that we were willing to wait until Monday. They never called or showed up, so we called at 4:30. They said they would schedule us for Tuesday at 11 am, but they arrived after 3 pm.

They told us we required a new Electronic Oil Igniter, priced at $55 at Home Depot. Yet, they quoted us a price of $558 for the part. I asked the technician to get me the exact part that needed replacement and to call me back with it. I specified that I would be the one to approve the work, not my husband, who usually just agrees without looking into it.

He chose to call my husband and failed to return my call. Eight minutes later, my daughter informed me that the technician had replaced the part and was done. I felt angry. I was billed over $665 for under an hour of diagnostics and just 8 minutes to replace a $55 part. That is just outrageous.

I called and spoke to Sierra, who explained that since the earthquake, they have been overwhelmed and now charge a flat rate for all services. I consider this to be a clear case of price gouging. How can they take advantage of people like that and sleep at night? I have no respect left for them. They will be reported to the Better Business Bureau.

By the way, I have since contacted four other companies in the Valley, and they quoted me between $280 and $340, depending on how long the installation takes. All of these quotes come with a one-year warranty, compared to the paltry 30-day warranty that Knik Heating provides.

Having used Knik Heating's services, I found the plumber came later than expected for my appointment. However, I was kept informed regarding his journey and the estimated time of arrival. I was thankful for that.

What I did not appreciate to see that the service person arrived without the intention to do the job in any capacity! I was explicit regarding what I wanted and had cleaned the work area to make it accessible. The only thing the technician did took some photos and said that I would be contacted with a call regarding the estimate. For this, I was billed a fee of $145. Did I get that estimate? No, I did not. Rather, ghosted. I would like to get my money returned to enable me to contact a trustworthy company instead of this one. Please avoid this business and prevent going through what I have.

I recommend steering clear of this service! I apologize for being so detailed, but I need to share my entire experience.

I encountered a serious flood caused by frozen pipes. The first service person showed up right away and secured the water system, bypassing a split water conditioner. Unfortunately, he was unable to repair it because a cabinet needed to be removed to access the pipe. He didn't have time to wait for me to remove the cabinet, so he left.

The next day, a second plumber showed up to address the pipe issue and found several leaks. He suggested replumbing the entire house, which was only 650 square feet. This is when Patrick, the owner, got involved because there was a $2000 water conditioner in the system. He gave me a quote for a similar unit. I inquired about the brand, model, and specifications before I decided to buy.

Over a week passed without a call from Patrick, so I contacted him to obtain the specifications. He said the unit was installed and functioning! I questioned who authorized the installation, Patrick became angry and yelled at me! I requested the make and model to do my own research. He shared the information, but he was clearly furious. He insisted that I decide whether to keep his unit within two days! I asked him for the water test results from the installation. He said he would provide that information.

Within two days, even without the test results, I called and accepted their water conditioner. I primarily opted for theirs since I was informed it was already functioning and I didn't want to deal with Knik Heating & Plumbing anymore.

I learned that Knik Heating & Plumbing charged my credit card for the unit prior to my acceptance! They billed the entire reinstall as "one day plumbing." They removed all the copper pipes and didn't offer any credit for the value.

When I returned to the house after nearly a month, I found that the conditioner was NOT installed or operational! It hadn't been tested or plugged in at all! Additionally, it was positioned incorrectly! I contacted Patrick again. Once again, Patrick raised his voice and argued with me! I insisted that he either install it properly to my satisfaction or take it out. He assured me he would handle it within 10 days!

The corrected installation occurred on the LAST day I was home, and when they left, my husband discovered that the plumbing valves had been adjusted so only half of our water was going to the conditioner! I learned that Patrick is not a certified plumber or HVAC professional; he only holds certification for ductwork.
