What a stand up company this is! Recently we received some advice from another heating company that seemed off so I called Knecht's for a second opinion. They came through and confirmed my suspicions that the other company was trying to get over on me. Although they weren't able to fix our furnace (they aren't an authorized dealer of the brand) they gave suggestions for other reliable companies. The tech who came was also very nice and actually explained exactly what's wrong with our unit to me instead of just handing me a bill. In a field where the opportunity to be a shyster is abundant, they were honest and I can't recommend them enough.

This has nothing to do with plumbing or heating. This is about the character of one of their employees--Austin. I lost my wallet at my son's school, and not only did he find it and return it--he actually brought it to my house and left an anonymous note about where he found it! The only reason I know who it was is because we have a doorbell camera, so I saw the logo and called the office. If you need services, call Knecht and ask for Austin. This is a good guy.

I cannot say enough about what a delight Knechts has been to work with on our furnace issue. Having the misfortune of initially using one of their very ""marketing"" oriented competitors, whose only interest was trying to sell me an entire new set of ductwork, Knechts was both highly responsive, but very technically savvy without trying to pull the wool over my eyes. From my interaction with Tim, the Service Manager to Adam, the very polite, kind and sensible Service Tech, Knechts has been highly responsive and professional. They was able to solve an intermittent failure on our 20 year old heating system. Plus, they didn't try to break the bank doing it. It's no wonder that Knechts has been in business for so many years. You don't survive in a small area like SLO County for as long as Knechts has done business , unless you provide consistent, reasonable and professional service. That's exactly what Knechts is all about. I highly recommend you call Knechts first and beware of other companies that ask you for your credit card number before they ask your name!

I manage a small business in Paso Robles and although the heating guys were great, their billing manager Dana, is not. She is completely cold and very rude. Was not helpful, nice or pleasant to deal with and unfortunately I don't think we'll be calling Knecht's again due to her inconsiderate and impolite nature. I wish they would have someone else in their billing department who was more cheery and had even an inclining of what good customer service consists of because I can imagine a lot of people/businesses probably feel the same.

Not happy with their service. Over the past year we had Knecht's out to our office for A/C & heat issues, which took months to resolve. In their defense, it was due to the tech who slacked on follow up, and that person is no longer there. However, every time we made a call to address the recurring problem, we got some attitude from the person handling the service call desk.

Recently we needed a minor plumbing issue addressed, and we had to make multiple follow up calls for a job that ended up taking minutes to do. We were told that the part was on back order with the supplier, yet we found the part at Home Depot! There was a toilet out of order for TWO WEEKS! Not acceptable at all!

The only reason I'm not giving Knecht's one star is due to the lady who answers the phone and began handling our service calls (Stacy, I believe is her name). She was always great and very professional on the phone.

Horrible, dishonest and condescending to us the Consumer..would never use them after 3 times..still issues and no willingness to negotiate issues they fixed...I never wrote a review before...but this was infuriating..especially their unwillingness to think we as the Consumer have a brain and can make informed decisions, their ability to fix issues that are complex...they can't do at all...so...we need to support our Local Business that don't have money for advertising, or those that are larger..let's really make yelp work for our area...Thank you Yelp...It is important to take time and review and..someone else...never got a bad review after a HUGE mistake..why??? Because..they had integrity..they knew from what I said they had made a 6,000 mistake and put me through lots of extra pain...I respect them for that..We deserve Integrity in our Community and total support for those trying to make a living in this economy..I am deeply saddened for any Consumer that doesn't know...we do have Brains and we can, if given the chance..make INFORMED decisions..but they wait..until another problem occurs so we have to pay again..and for me..the problems never got resolved and now I have more problems..finally..my young adult son fixed one problem...but now..the other that they fixed..who knows??? I have a complete mess and expensive repairs due to lack of completeness and integrity...Thank you again Yelp...We are blessed..and I hope everyone thinks about this as we do business...in our area...we deserve ethic, being treated as a human and assuming we are smart...unless proven otherwise..they have no right to be making our choices

This is my 2nd time using Knecht's and I think they provide the BEST service in SLO County. Last time they installed two toilets on time, on budget and on this trip they installed my roman tub and updated the fixtures. Austin was so delightful to work with and to my great surprise, I got to meet Sam too. What a wonderful local business. I highly recommend Knecht's to everyone! Thank you.

Very fast and personal service for our office heating. I got the feeling that the repair tech really cared. He spent the time to do some extra maintenance, replace a filter, take some measurements, etc. all at no extra cost ""since I'm here.""

Very reasonably priced and couldn't possibly be faster. Highly recommended!

Wonderful! So helpful and professional! I read the other reviews and found the negative remarks to be NOT the norm for this company. The people that I delt with in the office where very helpful and they sent a plumber out the same day! His name wasatt Ackerman and he was very helpful and he was very respectful when talking with my elderly parents about what needed to be done! He was very honest about what needed to be done and he was so fast a thorough! I would highly recommend them!

These people are ""out to lunch"". We have called four times to get information and a quote on air conditioning. Each time, we are told that someone will get right back to us. The next time we call, we get a creative excuse as to why no one contacted us. If they are this unresponsive when you want to buy something, imagine what they're like when you have a problem with something you did manage to buy from them.
