Wow! Without a doubt the worst repair I have ever seen. Beyond belief. We called FMP to clear a plugged toilet and ended up with a monstrosity. Much more to come shortly (with photos) but in the meantime, do not use this company under any circumstances. I called the next day (Saturday to complain) but could not reach anyone even tho the website said otherwise. Stay tuned: you will not believe your eyes.

I have used KMP Plumbing for many years. They usually do a good job identifying the problem and fixing it. In recent years, their prices have increased beyond what is reasonable. I recently called KMP to replace a valve that would not shut off. While the plumber was here, I showed him a toilet that ran on its own every so often (leaking from the tank into the bowl). We were charged $215 for the valve and $94 to replace the flapper in the toilet tank. $94??? That's ridiculous! To add insult to injury, the plumber who was sent to solve my problems was someone who launched into a diatribe about the government and his conspiracy theories. It was uncalled for, not invited and not appreciated. I had previously experienced this person and specifically asked the office that they not send him in the future. Time to find a new plumbing service.
There is more! Later that day, I discovered that while the toilet no longer ran on its own, it was now flushing water twice with each flush. Rather than call the plumber back, my husband put a brick in the tank and that solved the problem. A few days later, we found out that the valve was replaced with the wrong size. Shouldn't a plumber know the difference between a refrigerator connector valve and a dishwasher connector valve?? So, I am having to call back the plumber to put in the correct valve. I am not happy!

I called KMP yesterday to identify & resolve a leak in my garage. While the plumber who came out was technically competent, he was very messy, asked a great many non plumbing questions, was really annoying in general to have working in the house & left a huge mess for me to clean up both in the garage & what he kept tracking into the house. As a result, I will be hesitant to call the company again. The bill was almost $700 to fix the leak, a couple hours work.

Steve, Greg and Bo are the best....great service they know there stuff. had a job that was ""get over when you can"", not an emergency and they fit it in when they can. on the RIGHT NOW stuff, they are Johnny one the spot!!!!!!!!!!!
Wright their number on your water heater cause it is goona go out while you are out of town and your lazy brother is gonna be house sitting....write their number.....858-259-9300
OK used them again and super easy and can not believe that they take that kind of time for a small guy...they do some pretty big jobs and cannot say enough about Jeanny . Bo and Steve.

I had a blocked up main. I knew what it was -- roots, has happened before. I showed the cleanout to the guy who came, told him how it was fixed last time, but he seemed unsure as to how to use it. We waited for another guy - the story was quite confusing since one name was given and another showed up. He had the equipment and the problem was quickly fixed. The price was extremely extremely high. They use a fixed price which seems to be at the high end for problems like this so if you have the common problem, which I was pretty sure I did, you will end up paying more than double. If you have an emergency maybe you have to go this way. In the meanwhile I asked around to find some recommendations for someone who would fix the problem for a reasonable fee and will call them next time.

I talked to Bo on the phone and he informed me that a plumber could come and give me a free quote the next day. Joe the plumber came the next morning and looked at my toilet and kitchen disposal. He identified the toilet problem quickly, which was not just the actual broken chain, but also the handle causing the chain the keep braking. The disposal he got to restart but recommended a new one, which I had already suspected.
He fixed the toilet perfectly and it works great now. He knew what he was doing and it looked professionally done. My total was $111.18, which I thought was fair for the visit and the work.

Update, the service mgr came out and brought the water heater they installed 2 years ago up to CA safety code.

Called a week in advance, needed a leak fixed in the master shower. I explained to the service manager what kind of valve it was. I wanted to make sure the Tech had the proper cartridge on the truck before the job started. The Tech named Joe,
was less than helpful. He said their was no replacement parts on the truck.
I cancelled the job immediately!!

lousy service, had appointment , did not show up nor called to let know that will be late, when we called to inquire , was told"" he cannot make it ,and dont know when, any way dont waste your time with these characters.jj

I called on a Saturday morning for a Water heater that would not stay on. Ryan came out the same day and replaced a part for far cheaper than most of the other companies I called. Most of them would not even come out to Ramona nor would they service the Water heater since they had never heard of the Manufacturer. Quick was and done in 30 minutes. I would recommend. They also provided a free inspection of the entire house and would only charge by the Job and not by the hour like most others in the area. Good Job!!
