they are a local ""institution"" and their service has declined significantly over the years. Used to love them to pieces. Not anymore. You can call for scheduling and they have to get back to you after speaking to the owner, can't tell you when they will arrive, or when you call to find out ""when"", they then say ""oh, it's today but now he's held up."" Seriously. the latest insult was our renovated old kitchen. We'd asked that the old pipes be removed and replaced. the technician didn't want to go under the ample crawl space to do it, so instead jerry-rigged the pipes under the new sink. Yeah, the water pool & pipe leaks in my new cabinetry sure show what a great job that turned out to be. Seems there was also supposed to be a return to address the low water pressure which as of several days later never happened. While the non-locals will rave about their service, there's a reason why the locals don't provide the same raves. Value for their charges isn't there.

leslie, corey, and mary were a pleasure to work with from out of state. we recently purchased a second home ""as-is"" in the chautaqua area. kcd plumbing + heating were able to work around our travel schedule and get to our new home to inspect and make needed repairs. it's such a relief to have found a reliable and honest plumbing company in the area!

They came days after they said they would, then the repair guy made sure to break something else as he was leaving so they'd have something else to repair and charge me for. He literally snapped the cold water knob off in his hand in front of me and chucked as he said ""well I guess that will need fixing next time"". Nothing was wrong with it before they came. I won't be calling them EVER again.

Our furnace was working erratically and the house was getting very cold. Cory from Klingensmith came out the day that I called and fixed the problem immediately.

Phil was amazing. He came to our house at 11pm when our furnace broke. He set it up to get us through the night and showed up first thing the next morning to fix it. He is incredibly knowledgeable, honest and professional. This was our first time using them. We will never use anyone else now. Highly recommend.

The people at Klinginsmith's are the best in the area. We have used about six different services over the years and are so glad that we found Klinginsmith's. They do it all- plumbing, electrical and HVAC. At our first house on the lake, they did it all there as well. Replaced the AC, furnace, installed our dishwasher and fixed the fuse box. Each time they showed up they were professional and they cleaned up before they left. The dishwasher was a complete bear and the technician stayed until 7:15 at night and didn't charge overtime because we were good customers. That's something that will always get me to write a great review of a company- fantastic customer service.

They book out pretty far in advance, so unless it is an emergency, make sure that you give them a little heads-up.
